Course management is so important. I forget it from time to time but when I play with one of my golfmates at my home club we are talking about it on every hole and pretty much every shot and it really helps my game. Course management has definitely helped me get to a 9 handicap.
So different to my average game, first hole I've got 4 people watching me tee off and nob it down the right fast whippy swing, 2nd shot I'm worried about the 4 people behind and don't do any practice swings and chunk it, on the the green got 2 greens staff raking bunkers starring at me 3 putt, 2nd hole ran out of tees so searching for a broken one, luckily it's a short par 3, down range I just hit 7 iron perfect each time, but no, I bottle out and hook it wild left, 2nd shot thinned over the other side, then greens staff turn up to mow the green, third hole, my distance watch runs out of battery cos forgot to charge and I start really needing a pooh , golf lol
yes, it's raining in London and we are going out to play Finca, Valderrama, Sotogrande and La Reserva twice. Sunshine golf and the best courses in the area. can't wait
More of these course vlogs please! Even if it's just local courses, going through your mental process for each shot is a great example for those of us aiming for the 70s
Interesting. I notice when I verbalize out loud a shot I want to hit on the course, I can usually pull it off. I wonder if there is any research about this. Nice playing.
Well Played Chris, good video. Would be nice to see a fortnightly Course Vlog. You could maybe do 9 holes each time, and try to set a PB low score each time.
I noticed you didn't leave the pins in for putting. Are you not a proponent of leaving them in? Was it the windy conditions perhaps or just a habit? Didn't hurt you taking them out by the way. Just curious.
Great question, and your spot on, the wind included my decision. Felt that the wind may blow the flag and make it less centred and keep the ball out 👍👍
Hey Aart, glad you enjoy the channel. I’m sorry you feel that way about these videos, I upload three videos each week covering a variety of topics, surely the location where these are filmed is irrelevant? Almost impossible to film in the UK over the winter months so I spent 3 days here creating content for my channel, I’m not advertising this venue just shooting content on the course 👍

Nice seeing you play some golf. Good brand extension. 👍
you certainly make it look easy. two pars and a bird to start... in my dreams!

I love it !!
I hate vlogger panning camera around, I love how you use tripod and microphone.
Keep it up Chris !!
Thanks Toni.... although I’ll be honest, the tripod was more a case of me being on my own rather than choice 😂
That was fun. Great to watch you actually play and hear your thought process.

Thanks Craig 👍
More of this please!
Great vlog Chris, I like see course management from different people it changes the way I think and play around a course
Agreed. Wish more youtubers discussed it. Matt on Golfsidekick seems to be the only one who really focuses on it.
Nice on course video...Love the use of the tracer, too! Well done!
Great video! This was exactly what I needed and you delivered. More of these please!!
Thanks Nathan 👍
Good to see your game on the course! Nicely played.
Thanks Dan 👍
That was very helpful. Now I know how pros thinking :) Im waiting for another video like this...

I'm so glad you posted this, thanks!
Thanks Kevin 👍
Don't forget your sand wedge at hole 2 :)

Target focused - helps. Read Nick Ohearn's book Tour Mentality. This is his mantra - "What do I need to do now?"
Realy enjoyed the video, very helpfull. Thank you
Thanks 👍
damn chris you da man! excellent shots!
Rough conditions. Well done👍
Thanks 👍
Good video, I try at the end of a practice session pretending to play the first 3-4 holes I would be playing the next day
Thanks a great thing to do Brian and something that really helps 👍
More vids like this!
Pretty impressive play Chris! I didn’t see your name on the starting list for the #YTGolfDay 2019. If so; I would’ve put you first!
I can’t make it unfortunately Ruud through prior commitments, Shame as I’d really have loved to be there 👍

Thanks, would love to include more of there, unfortunately at the moment time restrictions can make it tricky 👍👍
Good job
Thanks Peter 👍
Very impressive bunker shot on the 2nd hole. How many hours (or hundreds of balls) of practice required for that shot?
A few.... and lots of luck too 😂👍
Nice video Chris. You play from blacks tee, right? Because a 220 yards par 3 it’s a very too much for a mid handicapper who plays from blue tees 😬

Like your channel very much, but your promotion for superexpensive Finca Cortesin has been a bit over the top....just too much !

If he didn't mention the course people would ask where it was, and so it should be promoted, there letting him shoot his videos, everyone's a winner.
