Stick to your AU's Sean. Dealing with the odd power steering pump, rack leak or bush/balljoint failure is so much easier than this renovation to ruin.... Good job thou! 👍
I was so close to buying a VRX Magna but I know for a fact they torque steer. And couldnt find any proper ralliarts on FB. Plus its hard shopping for cars in Qld when im still in Russia. But I bought a IS350 F sport Lexus 2011. 15k Aud. 160k kms. (im a mechanic dw) Going to tidy her up, touchups forever... eventually try and fit a Aurion TRD supercharger to the Lexus 2gr. The Magna is a car that most people forget about when you talk about Aussie cars! The Ralliart version of these are awesome looking machines and this one you have here looks outstanding in the black! A credit to you sir. These are very fine cars indeed. I would be chuffed to have this in my shed. Bloody beauty
The last video and this one confirms what I'm learning: young child and full time job = work on car at night. Weekends are mostly out. Coming together beautifully though.
When I first Drove a Magna it was a TE 3.0L v6 5 speed. At the time I thought it was a good car. To see what you have done to the best Magna that was made back then is great. After the highs and lows you came through a big winner.
Congratulations on this job. The mighty Magna looks absolutely fantastic. Love your work. As a Mitsubishi man I am so glad to have watch the ups and downs of this job. You can only be awarded the highest praise for this work. Thank you for saving and restoring an iconic car from the Mitsubishi stable. As you can see I am just overwhelmed with seeing this car back to its original state. Thank you.
I forgot the doors have frameless glass which is something the other cars in the class don't have. The red face instruments help remind you its a performance edition. There's a product called Motsenbocker's lift off for removing adhesives. I had this porous tape that kept ripping so I left some on soaking overnight and it peeled right off in one piece. It was good to share your walkaround.
It's not it's complete form yet. I hope Sean will do it soon though. But this Ralliart Magna is missing the front lip spoiler. This add's presence & aggression, I mean it looks amazing as it is but it's just not the same without the front lip spoiler🌟

Thank you for preserving and freeing up the funds to make this happen!! It's also great to see someone giving a rats about these cars, they're almost all but gone on the roads and the active community I was once apart of when I owned a TJ is almost pretty much gone too.
After all the highs and lows of this project, you should be very proud and happy. Well done Sean! All the pain was worth it in the long run. Looks awsome. 😊
I have thoroughly enjoyed the series, even I got emotional for you at the end. It’s great to see a Ford man find the passion for the mighty Mitsubishi Magna. We have all shared your ups and downs, except the costs! Because of your video I think you have bought so many more people on board on preserving something different when it comes to Aussie cars. Hoping you do another series of something Aussie and completely out of the square. That is what made this series so interesting for me anyway. I would love that in my garage, but I only got room for two cars. Can’t wait to see her after buff. Again thanks for the series.
For off the gun. She has come up well. I used to own a TP magna back in the day, but this was my favorite body shaped magna. Well done to everyone who has put the work into this car. Cheers

I also put double sided tape on my rear plates - a one inch square in each bottom corner, and it keeps the boot lid nice & quiet. Depending on how high the plastic standoffs for the screws are, it sometimes needs a couple of layers to build it out level. The comment noting Velcro is clever, but I don’t take plates off to clean cars, so it’s overkill for me😊
I usually put a solid rectangle of tape around the edges of the plate (set in about 1cm from the edges) to stop water or dirt going too far in behind it.
Love it. For me, it doesn’t really matter what the car is, I just love bringing something back to life. You could have done this on a Datsun 200B and I’d be happy. Well done!
Mate! Great work! I really like that you lean towards these sort of older 'Aussie' cars. I don't think there is another one of these on UA-cam. Again, great work. Keep it up!
This is amazing to see and how far its come. The driving shots really bring me back to when we had one of these (Red, manual) from new, wish we'd kept it.
Having played around with my Vrx all weekend, I also am getting it ready for paint, so l replaced the front body kit. l now realise how cheaply made they are. There are literally 8 10mm bolts holding the front end on. The body kits held together by about 12 screws and a couple of brackets are holding that to the car. I was surprised it was able to last 20 years, and the wheel arch flares are held on by the dust covers with a couple of clips. After doing my own fabrication and modifications, it's much more secure to drive now.
18:50 that deep pearl finish, haven't seen it for years. And I'm sure this clearcoat will last a lot longer than the factory finish if kept outdoors. But I know you will garage it.
Car Builders do kits for both the moisture barrier (including mastik) inside the car door and also the underside bonnet sound deadening... it's not 'original' but I think would follow your ethos on this build
this is the best stuff ive found for number plate mounting, solid but can be removed without incident and adapted to a new plate if needed easily.. Scotch Extreme Fasteners Black 2.5cm x 7.6cm Strips RF6731
This car still needs a final buff of the paint and badges applied, but how do you reckon it turned out? 😁
Stick to your AU's Sean. Dealing with the odd power steering pump, rack leak or bush/balljoint failure is so much easier than this renovation to ruin.... Good job thou! 👍
So it's not finished then eh? *April Fools!*

A good tip when using double sided tape - hit it with a heat gun before sticking it down to create a stronger bond
Immensely satisfying to see your efforts and attention to detail here. It's turned out great! 💎
17:00 If you don't want to use tape you can instead put a few washers under the number plate (through the screws) to stop it rattling.

Nice. The pinnacle of the Magna design.
Looks fantastic mate, so happy to see you pull through and get the car back to life considering where it was 6 months ago.
Man, I can't wait to see this thing once it is all polished up! Great work man!
18:50 that deep pearl finish, haven't seen it for years. And I'm sure this clearcoat will last a lot longer than the factory finish if kept outdoors. But I know you will garage it.
It’s looks amazing just need the badges now! Hopefully you can put the badges on that I sent you!
