- In this video, I compare the sound of a passive jazz bass in which different 0.022 uf and 0.047 uf capacitors are soldered. The sound of the guitar was taken directly through the audio interface without processing. Write in the comments which sound you liked the most

Thanks! Like the 0.47 myself.
I think too
Thanks for. The demo buddy. I’m about to mod my jazz bass and have a couple of questions before I buy the pots and parts. 1. Are you running a standard j bass set up? 2. Are the strings the same ie. brand, size, age? 3. Are the pickup the same make and is their secs similar? Thanks for the help. Thump on, the show ain’t happening with out floor shaking. Sincerely, Pops Fitch. 60 years unnoticed and proud of them
Post script: I have 47’s in them now.
Cool! 🎸✌️✌️
0.022 for jaco sound !!!
yeah! 0.022 bridge pickup and tone off
0.047 cap is better.
more in the pocket, better in every way from a mix perspective from the get go, with any PU option.
I agree with you
What is the head band.. at the top of the neck? Thanks
@ChurcHouse777 look up Victor Wooten
Have I missed something, how I am supposed to know which is the 22 or 47?
It's in really small font near the top of the tone % window
Also in the thumb nail it shows two different basses and it tells you which one has what capacitor... Gotta read and observe especially as a bassist....
What's the brand of capacitor?
0.047 Russian k-40-y oil-paper
0.022 standard Mexican ceramic
What kind of pots are you using?
0.047 oil paper
0.022 ceramic I think
That's the capacitor, it's probably 2 250k volume pots and a 500k tone pot. I was just curious
I'm not a fan of ceramic pots, they sound nasally to me. Paper in Oil definitely has a nice round tone, Orange drops are still my favourite
Yes! This is the video I needed. The .047 is definitely more fat and mellow, in a good way. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
