Such a sad situation. Speaking specifically about ON THE FIELD. AB has top 5 WR all time talent.

He however can not get out of his own way. He simply will not swallow his pride. I feel bad for him and wish him well and hope he can deal with his pride before it robs him of his potential. Mike Evans , Chris Godwin and Gronk seem to be like angels. They never complain about targets or anything. Never heard a bad word about any of them in those regards. They welcomed AB with open arms and never said a bad word about him. They are great players with egos too. I even head football experts say Gronk at his apex was a top 10 player in NFL history. Fournette was the 4th pick. He is turnimg into James White. He is making 3M a year. He is sacrificing. So is Ronald Jones. OJ Howard was a 1st round pick in 2017 and he is sacrificing as well. He hasn't caught a ball in 8 weeks and still seems happy. Brady is taking a paycut. Mike Evans is taking significatly less money to keep the band together. Godwin willfully took the franchise tag. Brate is taking less money. The left tackle Smith and the left guard Marpet who is a pro bowler are taking pay cuts as well. Shaq Barrett and Lavonte David is taking huge paycuts as well. Just to keep the band together. All of them are willing to sacrifice but AB is not. He is out there criticising for targets and throwing tantrums while nobody gets targeted per snap as much as he does. Making it about him and quitting on the team. Complaining for incenitives that Brady would try his hardest to get him anyway. Criticising the team and the QB who gave him a chance when no one did. I don't feel bad about AB whatsoever.
The difference is AB is a hall of gamer and those guys aren’t , Gronk and Ab are the only players on that team that has the right to complain

We will see what happens with Godwin. He just had an injury that makes him much less valuable and he did it during a franchise tag year. But I think they are such loyalty people - Jason and Bruce and the owners that he will get his money even though he won't be worth it anymore. We will see. But that is what I see with them.

Now I finally understand what was going thru AB's mind. I didnt realize he had lost $183K due to the 3 game suspension he faced for the fake vaccine card...SO, THATS why him & his agent requested the $2M incentive thresholds be paid. AB felt slighted and likely believed 100% that he would have reached BOTH those $999K bonus plateaus had he played in those 3 games. His arithmetic sees it this way: I lost $183K for the suspensions, a chance at the 2nd $999K bonus plateau, AND now Im getting stingy targets in this Jets game to the point where I might not get the lesser of the 2 $999K plateaus (which is ridiculous bc he still had 5-1/2 quarters of football games left to accomplish that). So ONCE again, AB (in his mind) is the victim, AND being mistreated.....BUT, no-one forced him to provide a fake vax card...thats on him. I like him as a receiver and liked the move to bring him on last season and this season, but his decision making is that of a 8 or 9 year old child.

Not that they should’ve had guaranteed money rather than incentives. This behavior is the exact reason he’s on incentives, he’s far too unpredictable on and off the field.
I think it was a combination of Targets and Ankle. As long as he was getting the ball thrown his way he felt it was worth playing through the injury, but the moment the targets dried up he didn't think it was worth it. That said there's no excuse for what he did.
Thing is, there was still another half of football to play.

No amount of information can change the way he exited the game. If he was hurt and felt he couldn’t go why not go the trainer’s tent, let them evaluate his ankle and then go to the back for further evaluation. The story now becomes Antonio Brown has left the game due to injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game. He could have gone quietly under the guise of injury and none of us would have been the wiser. I believe this happened exactly the way BA said it did. Totally explains Brown’s behavior too
