I'm Belgian, 54 years old and went to Werchter 2013. Was not there since 1986 (Talk Talk, Simple Minds, UB 40 ...) Went this year with my kids to see Depeche Mode.
Of course i knew Editors but I was blown away from their concert. I enjoy their sound very much and love the voice of Tom Smith. Keep up the good work and much success to the band.

An end has a start and The weight of your love are the best albums they have in my opinion. I found then when I was almost 15 and I was depressed and hungry so when I heard Smokers I just thought it was the most beautiful sound.

bands evolve and people move along - its part of life. I was always a huge fan of Chris's input but it's obvious it was a tough decision. I am VERY excited to hear what Justin Lockey brings to the album, as a huge yourcodenameis:milo fan (and if you've never heard them give them a listen) his technique is incredible. I'm really pumpe for this album and will try and see them on the road

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the string section on Nothing at the end, it's going to be epic for sure! And the song that starts at 12:08 seems like it will be great as well!

Loved the guitar work on LP 1 and 2, but also love the weight of your love!

It worked for Kings of Leon, and after just watching this documentary and their set at Hurricane Festival I can honestly say I will be surprised if this doesn't make them hugely mainstream. I guess some nostalgic hipsters wanted Back Room 2, but what we got was better.

If they just decided to stop making albums after In This Light and on This Evening, I would have cried.

I hope they (and the new album) are catapulted to the bigger fame they so very deserve, especially in America. This album is BIG, and they aspired to become a better banf and succeeded. I have a good feeling, especially with Jacquire involved, that this will solidify them as a truly great band

I suppose some people will see it as selling out but I see it as growth and expansion. They aren't reinventing the wheel, but they've managed to scale back their electronic direction into a more natural and fitting sound that An End Has a Start was leading up to. I like all the Echo & the Bunnymen/U2 comparisons they've been receiving lately because it shows they have ascended to a level where they can successfully mold old sounds into a refreshing new sound for their outfit.

I really have to say. I miss Chris and I completely love The Back Room and An End Has a Start with all my heart especially because of Chris's work but I guess bands change and they can't keep making the same music over and over again.
But on the brighter side of this! I absofreakinlutely LOVE the single so far and I'm crazy excited for the album to come out (:

I do hope that a more "rock" sound to the new album will be a good path, but from folk then to a electronic sound then to rock sounds like a whirlwind to go through. I would imagine that it took just the past albums (which are amazing) to get to this one was a great learning adventure for the band. And fans cannot wait to hear the new sounds Editors have to offer.

I suggest a new band: formed by Carlos (Interpol bass player) and Chris

After listening to the BBC for years, it was a surprise seeing Edith's name pop up at the end. Found out, afterwards, that Tom's her husband.

I think Chris will be back, someday. Might take a few years for them to mend fences. Because obviously the chemistry they had with him was immense.

i've downloaded a torrent, don't worry i'll buy it as well. and of course it's sad that Chris and Editors has parted ways, but this album is really great. it's a real improvement if you look back on In This Light And On This Evening, which i didn't thought was a bad album, but this one's definitely much better. Hyena, Honesty, The Sting and A Ton Of Love are my favourites, but it's a really awesome album overall.
great job and i can't wait until the concert in Amsterdam. (:
