it is an over priced fresnel lense.. they sell those at office max. would work better to place in the sun to heat up a grill cheeze sandwich.. Solar cooking is all the rage...
@@RandoTechInfo I have a Etrike with a 170w Solar Assist Trailer. I trickle charge my etrike while riding. I carry a Parabolic Concave mirror (Plastic) and a Solar water heater that boils water in about 15 mins with sunlight only..and i carry a french press to make coffee in the morning. I cook with the sun.. So Yes Fresnel lenses can be used at the right focal length to get things melting hot. I saw a man melt aluminum with his fresnel lens... A good quality one can get expensive, those are usually about 24-36" in diameter. (tough to carry on a bike trip..LOL). I have prepared for 3 years to go on a transcontinental tour. Rails-to-Trails from eastern Wa to WaDC... I won't have to buy cooking fuel on the way. I can even dry clothes with the Parabolic mirror. LOL
Haha yes ask for subs or at least a thumbs up it all helps with the mysterious algorithm. Great vid I'd never use this contraption but I enjoy your review videos. Keep up the hard work.
How do you know the front/back of the lens? Should the textured side be facing the phone or me? Or does it matter? Thank you in advance!
Anjahlee: Oh God I don't even remember. 😂
I would just flip it to whichever way looks better.
You want the smooth side facing you
if it is plastic or acrylic it looks distorted. .......Glass looks sharp
What phone did you use?
Oh god Travis, I don't remember.
Probably either my OnePlus7T or Pixel 2 XL. I went back and watched it and it looked more like the Pixel.
@@RandoTechInfo yeah was just curious, I feel like it might look a little better with a s21+ or any new OLED screen
@@travispetschl6848 Couldn't hurt.
Great video! Thanks! Check out that virtual boy up on the top left Wow! What a blast from the past!
A headache inducing blast at that!
Reminds me of a Gameboy color accessory. But for smartphones.
Matoro: That's funny. I know exactly what you are talking about and it is indeed almost exactly like that. Thanks for watching!
This would perfect for my son to watch his youtube videos on lol great video 👌
Str8: Glad you liked it man. Thanks for watching.
I'm 45 and I need that too , it's all ages
You've Earned a Sub this day.
Samuel: You have earned a liked comment this day. Thanks!!!
how do you use the touch screen at the same time?
You can't really use the touch screen while using the magnifier. It definitely works better for watching videos than gaming. Hope that helps.
Love that t shirt!
Thanks! I still have it. Might have to bust it out again sometime.
@@RandoTechInfo could you possibly post a link I’m from uk I love the back to the future films and blue is my favourite colour!
@@therunawaykid6523 I've probably had that shirt for 15 years and I honestly don't remember where I got it. Probably from Target.
Lol hilarious! Man i get told that a lot also but I'm so awkward at asking for subs i just end up cutting it out the video
V: Right?! I guess we keep practicing. If someone with millions of subs can ask for more subs with a straight face then we should be able to too.

Josh: Thanks man. Always appreciate the support.
Things 4k g
Someone could actually make a good lense. Such a shame. Was a great idea.
JoAnn: Cool concept for sure. Perhaps someone will make a better one down the road. Thanks for watching!
How much
That is terrible, poor image quality. Not worth it.
Turn of the light
