Daryl changed tremendously since season 1….. his skills grew and became more refined but he grew up, built a family connection with a group he supported and fought for, helped raise Rick and Michonne’s kids and so much more. To say that he has not grown is ridiculous
I stand by what Maggie decided. She’s been fighting a war before she showed up so she’s like in her own murder jacket Rick mode, and gage betrayed them by taking their materials. Why would she risk her people to save him in that scenario? And she was right, they ran out of bullets when they had to go out into the walkers. The only reason they lived was because Daryl came in with a bomb. These characters go through different stages depending on what they recently went through. If it was hilltop Maggie, prison Maggie, or farm Maggie, she def would’ve opened the door. But this Maggie just watched a whole bunch of her people die and is only thinking of her son right now. Rick, Daryl, Carol, and Michonne all would’ve done the same if they were in her situation.
Maggie sucks. She hasn't been good since like season 4. She's not a good leader. I understand Gage did them dirty, but he was scared. He hadn't live out in that world like others have. He was living behind walls most of the time. How are you the leader but don't try and save people in your group? That scene shows she was never on the level of Rick in terms of being a leader. Hell, even Negan tried. She was unbearable this whole season. Rick, Michonne, Carol, Daryl, Ezekiel would never have let someone in their group die without even trying. She was a selfish leader.
@ Rick was literally willing to let all of the Alexandrians die during season 5 and the first half of season 6 because they were weak and he didn’t see them as important as the group he’s been through everything with, just like Maggie was with gage
@@SunJade-vr6nj That wasn't his group yet and was absolutely right about them being weak. But did he go out of his way to not help them? No. He came around and then literally blew himself up to save the communities. At that point, Gage had been at hilltop, with Maggie as the leader, for like 6 years. That is not the same and you know it. Maggie would've NEVER sacrificed herself for her people the way Rick did. She was a selfish person and only cared about herself, her son and making Negan her entire personality. Hell, even in season 4 when they were all separated, she only cared about finding Glenn, not Beth. To not even attempt to try and save him was insane behavior. She was one of the worst leaders on the show and it's not even close.
Ones who live, Daryl Dixon, and Dead City are all must watches. If you’ve come this far and are still watching the main show, might as well finish the other character’s stories as well lol.
@MFBloosh I mean maybe but for casual fans that's a big commitment. "Might as well just watch all 3 spinoffs, most of which have multiple seasons" yeah lol might as well
There are indeed new shows but also Fear the Walking Dead has a crossover season with The Walking Dead, there is also The Walking Dead world beyond, and much more you guys have to look it up or else you wont get the whole story
Rip Roy from season 9 episode 7 to season 11 episode 2 and Gage from season 9 episode 7 to season 11 episode 2, Maggie gets mad at Negan for not helping her and she did the same thing to Gage, when Gage said liar, I bet it was triggered for Maggie, because that was the last thing she heard when the Governor killed her father
I don't think AJ has ever experienced trauma. I had to deal with witnessing physical abuse from my father toward my family when I was a kid and it's screwed me up since then. It's been 35 years and I still see it over and over again in my head, just like Maggie is going through. He's probably not married either because he would understand that situation more if that was the case. Sorry that the other two guys have to watch shows with him because he doesn't seem to understand much.
@@jrsharona I’m not a big AJ fan, but we gotta stop babying Maggie. Plenty of people lost their loved ones on the show. 99% of them didn’t make it their entire personality

@KayKay-l2t They finished the whole series months ago on their patreon. These aren't spoilers:)
I get it if you guys are tired of the walking dead by now, but I would really recommend watching the daryl dixon series as well.

Daryl season 2 is better than the ones who live I’ll say it.

Maggie actually started annoying me at this point! I never thought I would take Negan’s side but 🤷🏽♀️😅
