What makes this brilliant to me is they put the song and intention first, and showing off style second so that all the jazzy stuff fits into a meaningful context and not self-flattery.
You never disappoint. An absolutely beautiful rendition of one of my favorite pieces. This will definitely be added to my Sunday is Jazzday collection. Thank you for sharing your talents. 🌻
Hi Damjam .. Many Complit for This Special Sounds on Acustic Version. .. Great Approc and Accurately Part in Right Hand Technic Playing Nylon String. .. So' Good ... ☺😊😀/🎼🎶💙🎵🎸🎵💙🎵/👍✌👌👏👋
Great job guys . I'm intrigued by those Yamaha nylon string silent guitars . What would typically be played on an es 175 or am L 4 jazz box .A lot more easy and practical to backpack the Yamaha around than hauling a heavy old (expensive ) Gibson and risking damaging it or getting it stolen .
@@cameronmason4452 Cam…no offense intended & I’m not picking a fight or trolling. This performance, while very nice in it’s own right is not at all in the gypsy jazz style. It’s missing a few elements that are inextricably essential to the genre. The most obvious omission is the lack of a driving rhythm guitar. Rather than playing ‘finger style’, with a walking baseline the second guitar should have played straight rhythm. That alone would have propelled this much more toward a gypsy jazz feel,
@@deaterk There are obvious elements of gypsy jazz in solo guitar - in terms of right hand picking technique and musical language. But of course as a whole it is a jazz performance on nylon string.
Loved the fact that you played the melody of can't take my eyes of you
1:25 Love the "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" quote there.

Miles Davis would give you a hug for this dynamic and light version. Respect
Thank you 🙏
ive heard you sneaked a line from " Can't take my eyes off you " at 1:26 😄😄 but its gorgeous ❤
I've been listen to this for a year.
Best Autumn Leaves I've ever heard.
That was amazing. So much fluidity and control
I heard Can't Take My Eyes Off You during the improvisation. Awesome
Everything Damjan plays I feel is unbelievable. Out of this world.
Beautiful. I like the way you played Paul Anka's 1957 hit 'I love you baby and if it's quite alright' in the solo.
I noticed the "I love you baby" as well! A very neat reference :)
I don't know what excatly i'm feeling when i heard to this melody with such a beautiful background, it's between happiness or sadness.
A style as nostalgic as gypsy jazz perfectly matches Autumn Leaves. Kudos!
Fantastic Damjam ' a very lively ambience, wonderful ...even the Autumn leaves in the trees at the end of your video seem to be applauding you '
One the great melodies of all time - superbly interpreted. Brilliant.
I have the first version of that guitar. Bought it new from a famous music store that doesn't exist any longer. Truly
An expertly executed Walking Bass!
You never disappoint. An absolutely beautiful rendition of one of my favorite pieces. This will definitely be added to my Sunday is Jazzday collection. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Don't think I'd call this gypsy style but I LOVE IT!
For me it’s “gypsy style” but not played on a gypsy guitar
This is gypsy style for sure.
