- In this video we follow the story of Renee Lemair 'the Angel of Bastogne', we visit the Mardasson memorial which was dedicated to those American servicemen who became casualties during the Battle of the Bulge and we also get a personal tour of the remarkable Bastogne War Museum by curator Martin Cugnon.

We are not Historians. We are two ordinary chaps who are learning about WW2 history and documenting our journey. We are exploring this period of history from the sides of both the Allies and Axis. I served in the 327th Infantry in the early 80's. The "Bastogne Bulldogs".
We all knew the history of Bastogne.

There was two angels of bastogne the other was Augusta chiwy she was the real forgotten angel of bastogne she forgotten about after the war had ended an English war historian heard about her and went looking to find the truth he found her in an old people's home in Brussels when she past she was given a full military funeral with serving American service man as her pallbearers she was forgotten by everyone except the gi she nursed she was there angel.
