Dang man that sucks. I'm glad I got to hang for a bit on Friday. Too bad you couldn't stick around a little longer! Maybe next year we can hang out a bit more!
As to that C6 ZR1 you were looking at, you were reading my mind. At $60k I would say "SOLD!" No C7 GS, albeit those are nice, but there's soooo many of them. Do the numbers on the C6 ZR1, they're almost as fine as frog's hair. 🤣 Plus it was an '11. Eleven's and up are the really the ones to get serious about although at the "right price," I wouldn't discount an '09 or an '10. Glad you like the C8 Trident Wheels. Out of all the factory wheels available for the C8, those are my favorite. Gutsy move on your part to drive down AND back with that screw in your tire. Then again, you have been known to travel with an Angel on your shoulder, even though you left her at home this year. 😉 Once I got the Vette back in the garage, I would have immediately kissed the Vette's tire, then kissed the floor and THEN run upstairs and kissed your Angel! Your life is good my friend and you deserve all the goodness that comes your way. Take my word for it, the best is yet to come for you and your "new" expanded family. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️ P.S. I kinda wish you had called me when you noticed the screw in your tire. You know I'm up and about ready for lunch at 5:30am, or a nap! 😉 I would have told you to get back to your house and I'll bring Iron Vette over for you to use. He's always at the ready, especially for drives to Carlisle. Plus, I would love to have seen you compete in the roll-on exhaust contest with him! Which btw, Carlisle has never had before. This was primarily done because they didn't have the usual burnout contest, but I hope they continue the exhaust competition for 2021, because one thing is for sure, I ain't entering no burnout contest! Than again . . . . . 🤔🤣 I've already marked my calendar for 2021, August 26th -28th. You better do the same and let's hope for the best.
Peteeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I really wish you were there! That would be really nice "adventure" with both of us in that situation for sure! I would have a blast driving the Iron Vette down to carlisle... not sure if you are good friend or crazy enough to left me drive it but anyway I will take it ! :) My angels is such angel that she told me to buy another front lip... it is on it's way already! :) The C6 ZR1 is the next goal, it is a little stretch for me but what is easy in life? So I will work and try to find a good deal, I agree on the fact they are unique car...
Oh it would have been an "adventure" for sure Matty, one way or the other. But WWGO, WGA! While at Carlisle my "adventure" would probably have been following you all around carrying the umbrella so that you could do the filming. 😁 That's good to hear about your Angel's support. Just as long as she doesn't' say that she's going to "give you a fat lip!"🤣🤣 Boy, you sure don't let any grass grow under your feet as to getting a new one. You know what? Since you're becoming so handy at doing things in your garage, save the old splitter and experiment with repairing it yourself. Then prime and paint it either body-color, shiny black or get it CF hydro-dipped and use it as garage wall art until you need to replace your new one. 😉 You never know. Plus, I have someone right down the road from me who does hydro-dipping. Maybe you need to take over and see for yourself. I "know" there's a C6 ZR1 in your future. "Stretching" seems to be no problem for you and actually seems to be a very good exercise for you. Another year or so you'll be probably be at least 6'2"☝🏿 and still growing.😉 Your Angel will have to take you shopping 🛒for longer shorts!🩳 FWIW, just so you know, Ray always travels with a tire plug kit and he's "saved" several Corvette guys in route to Carlisle as well as some here at home. I always keep his phone number on speed dial. Glad you're back home. Have a good week.
Carlisle just wasn't the same experience as far as attendance and vendors this year and hopefully this doesn't impact future years. Bummer about the car buddy, but you'll get it back looking good. See you soon 🤘
That sucked,a damn racoon really messed things up.Matt ,can't you monitor you're tire pressure on you're dash?where was Pete,I figured he would go too.lets hope for better days & yrs.
damn that raccoon, wouldnt be a story without an adventure. glad that tire let you get back home but damn that racoon. just goes to further my point of killing more raccoons and squirrels i hear they eat well but ima stick with chickens and cows. c6 zr1 is beautiful, i would love to have a c6 z06.

Yes man! It really sucks, but we will fix it. Don't worry man, you were so busy and this is a good thing!
At least it was only the splitter and not the actually bumper or body panel. I saw you at Carlisle and had no idea you had a screw in your tire.
Hey buddy! Thank you so much for stopping by.. it was great talking to you! Yes the screw was there lol lol
Bumber about your Vette. I hope you enjoyed the show. You'll get the Vette in tip top shape in no time. Hang in there!
That's the plan! Thank you buddy!
The zr1 is sick.
One day!
