It grows fast, you'll see it daily get bigger, then other shoots from the same roots appear. Likes the heat, so sunny is good. I've got about 20, most from last year, a few from this year, but I'm not eating any this year, just letting them build up their roots. The ones I planted this year were late, like yours, but less than two weeks and they were up and off, but they're in a very sunny position. While small, one or three got attacked by what I'm guessing are slugs, they went for the head of the asparagus. Anyway, lot of fun, glad to see you doing it too, can't wait for the eating next year!

I bought four packs of asparagus crowns at the end of March, they were also reduced price from Wilko, they are in the ground in a sunny spot, one of them has been very active already, will leave them alone anyway till next year at least.
I also got an Olive tree last year from Morrisons for £7 reduced from £30, I repotted it following your video and a year on it seems okay.
