I removed my comment. It was in the heat of the moment after reading so many horrible comments made about dancer friends of mine, not just at Tribal Fest, but other venues as well. I am protective of my male belly dancer friends, they mean the world to me. :)
This is an open forum, honest critique always helps a dancer, being nasty doesn't, hopefully most people don;t watch with that aim. Threatening people for him isn't great though. I'm sure he works hard, Imo your friend needs to work on putting some space into his choreo - pauses and separation between sections so it is not all go all the time, and his musicality is better for the drum solo, but he doesn't really follow the music lines in the first track. I wish him all the best in his journey
I wasn't trying to be nasty, just critiquing the performance as I saw it. I agree with commandermacara, the drum solo is better. I just don't think he gave himself room to breathe, as it were, during Uprising. He clearly has the ability to dance, I just think the first track might have been a poor music choice this time around.
The music seems completely irrelevant to the dancing. It's like he's dancing to a totally different track than what's playing. His technique looks good, but the musicality isn't there.
Kisses Trac. We Male dancers love you too. :-))

Kindly keep it within Middle Eastern theme, not American music in his introduction...
