I am a short guy, around 5’ 7 or 5’ 6, and was an even shorter kid. I was 4’ 11 at age 13, and didn’t reach 5’ 2 until I was 15. But, it forces you to have confidence especially when talking to girls and at that age it’s all you can think about. I had plenty of girls reject me because of my height, everything else was fine but me being short. I didn’t let it bring me down too much, but I never really thought that a “prettier” girl would have any interest with me since you know they could do better, find someone taller, more fit, etc. That was until I met my girlfriend before we dated, both of us were 17 and I was more on the side of 5’ 6 than 5’ 7 at this time. She was slightllyyyy shorter than me, almost negligibly shorter than me. And she is a very pretty woman, at first I never even imagined us dating because I thought of her out of my league. But I thought about her all the time, and within the end of the month we started dating. We’ve been dating for over 2 years, and I couldn’t be more happy with her. Moral of the story is, the notion that there is someone out there for everyone despite your challenges, flaws, or how attractive you are is true. And honestly, my girlfriend is pretty but if she wasn’t also so smart we probably wouldn’t be together. Second moral, looks are everything.
