I must say i enjoy watching these stalker vids because of all the loot. I would go up the summit once more, repair the rest of the clothing items you’re wearing and clean the revolver, then go to AC with the travois like you said :)
When I go up to the summit on stalker, I bring every book that I have then I spend days there eating and reading. If you break down all the crates, there's enough fire to last days and days. When I run out of books to read, I break down all the clothing I don't intend to keep and fix up all the ones I'm wearing. Then I walk down with the leftovers.
You should wear the snow pants on the outside for better wind protection. When you get back to the summit you could break down all the lanterns to get the fuel from them.
When looting the summit, I would often bring nearly all the stuff down to the hut in several passes. Leave nothing behind - I guess I'm a bit of a masochist. But let's just have 8 lanterns, 3 hacksaws, 4 thick wool sweaters and loads of airline food available by the lake. Just in case, you know ...
34:40 awww... I wish you had went right to the open part of the plane and looked at the aurora dawn over the valley of TWM... Must have been an amazing view...🥺
1:03:45 Lmao the probability of having a 3/10 percentage rolling 6 times in 7 attempts is 0,357%. For reference the probability to unbox a knife in Counter Strike 2 is 0,26%. You're one unlucky man Zak! Edit: maybe buy a lottery ticket 😉
I think the game's RNG code is pretty bad instead, cause if you fail an unlikely roll, you'll keep failing it a bunch of times. Unless you move a couple steps away, then you'll prolly succeeded
Hey Zak, love this series, please keep it up, there are a lot of unique weapons and items in stalker, I'd love to see you collect them and use the! Btw great content as always, support from Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
One of the reasons why the sewing and fire starting books are so so good at the beginning. Less fails means less wasted resources, but dont worry, because there is a lot of cloth in the world.
Great to see someone playing Stalker. Most everyone always plays loper which ignores about half the game. No one, for example, shows where to look for the item variants. I alternate loper, stalker and NOGOA. Gotta have stalker in the mix to learn the item variant locations at least.
I play custom interloper, no dlc. Not guaranteed combat pants in HRV cave. You can find them or it could be Barry hat and jeans or ear wraps, can opener and jeans. Mag lens not guaranteed at trappers, campers or lookout but definitely somewhere in ML, easier to find lens in MT. NEVER found any wool mittens. It's a LOT more random and uses stalker loot locations.
Omg only just noticed you dropped another instalment on stalker 😮 My phone/youtube didn't pop a notification to tell me, how rude lol. Glad you're feeling better dude 👍🏻
Awesome episode Zak! I for one was thinking it made more sense to go straight to AC and get that extra 5K carry weight so you can bring even more down from the summit on your second trip, including a bunch of those tools. But if you plan to spend some time in AC and fully explore it and get the moose I think the plan you outlined at the end is a great plan! Loving the twin alternating shows of interloper and Stalker at the same time, I love both series and it's great to see a veteran enjoy some stalker.
HELP! Day 9, custom interloper, no dlc. About to make a bow at ML, need to find a moose. Where should I check for markings in ML and would there be markings at trappers. Weirdly, the cache in the old bear cave was empty
Also if you don't get a moose spawn in ML (which can happen) you have a chance to find a moose in FM JUST inside the transition zone to ML. It can spawn in 3 locations within FM but one of them is so close to the transition entrance that it might as well be in ML. When you enter FM just make a right as soon as you can and the moose can be found on the frozen lake there.
I'm on my second attempt of Stalker until day 100 (and beyond). I find Coastal Highway the best map to be self-sufficient in. I'm on day 56 now, haven't left Coastal Highway and I have 12 hatchets 😂 I feel like the shore item spawns are "a bit" overpowered. Found three hatchets within 10 minutes one time, washed ashore. Edit: I find the difficulty options of the Long Dark a bit frustrating. Pilgrim and Voyager are dead easy and even Stalker is not that hard once you get a hang of things. However - interloper is hard beyond enjoyment for me. I know there are custom options, but there are so many that it's hard knowing what to set them as. I personally feel like they should turn down the loot a little bit on Stalker. I only have 8 hours on Voyager so I am not sure how much loot they give you there, but I've been drowning in loot on Stalker regardless. A bit less would be perfect. But maybe I am speaking too soon and the real Stalker challenge is x days and beyond.
There's an old saying: "Red sun at night; sailor's delight. Red sun at morning; sailors take warning." A pink sky in the morning is usually a sign of bad weather to come. I didn't see a storm on that day in your video, so I'm guessing the devs were .... devs, and not sailors. :)
Enjoy the Stalker series, seems to give you more time to be outside and give us more tour guide time.

Maybe use the travois to bring some loot from the loose containers you run into on the way to AC.

I wish you make a sled and go to ash canion. That we be great
The soundscape in this game is just heavenly. It's the closest thing we have to playing plain silence straight out of our headphones.
Until a blizzard. Then its white noise lol.
I love watching playthroughs before I got to bed. The long dark is the best bedtime playthrough game.
Have you ever played Kona ? I just found it this evening. Giving it a try. It takes place in Quebec.
There is a sequel out to it also.
Can someone remind me if Zac’s shown in this run yet him looting the bunker in TWM?
Havent been there yet, no
To you think it's worth getting the DLC?
Yes, absolutely worth it.
If you were to drop something from the top of the mountain, would it be there when you got to the bottom?
No, just at your feet
I've fallen off a few mountains and was there at the bottom. Does that count?
Why is the fail rate so bad?
With fires? Chance
@@Zaknafein no clothing repairs
@@ballooncoast848 well same, just chance :) gets better with leveling

Does anyone know when the video for the new update comes out?
Video isnt announced, but dev diary is out this week

2x red long johns? Thats not exactly common even on pilgrim!
Ay caught it early for once!

No markings at Trappers, though it can spawn there. The other two places are the cabin near unnamed pond and river by the Dam.

What a great haul of useful stuff. Jo UK 🙂
He who sacrifices bear hide for safety deserves nothing and will receive neither - ben franklin probably.
Great video as always Zak
So much loot, not use to that much anymore.

Red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Drowned sheep in morning, global warming
