So nice to listen to a dialog between two professionals musicians and partners in a concert. Make sure to listen to the Sleeping beauty listening suggestion. It's a jewel.
I am SO JEALOUS of all these people who grew up with musical instruments being a part of their schoolwork! I went through TWELVE YEARS of primary and secondary schools in New York without having a SINGLE class in learning to play an instrument. In high school, I think I had a one-trimester music appreciation class as an elective, and THAT WAS IT! This was in the '60's and '70's; very sad! :-(
really excited to watch this!
Great to hear Arnaud, and his story. I'm typing this as I listen, so I hope there's a discussion about another concert with Arnaud, Matthew, Jan and Tiffany in the future. 👍 🤗
Very interesting interview. And if I have well understood Tiffany could give piano lessons, a thing she had never considered until now.
"Classical Chats" are getting better and better! I had several hearty laughs while listening to this one, but also a lot of empathy about what was said about teaching, and masterclasses... from both Arnaud Sussmann and Tiffany. (I understand Tiff's uneasiness regarding teaching very well). I will "bookmark" several take-aways for sure!
Wonderful discussion….the process & the journey…..agree Rachmaninov Symphony 2 has some beautiful moments
Thanks for sharing that inspiring talk 🙂 I really enjoyed listening!
And I am a big fan of Rachma too, and indeed his 2nd symphony, not very popular by the way.
Aww, Arnaud didn't get to finish what he was saying about masterclasses it seems.
