The most unrealistic thing about this is that not a single skaven weapon misfired killing the user.
Having the guns occasionally misfire in their faces might have been a good way to balance out the new gun units :P
I see your points but I feel like with good range/artillery or fast/stealthy units to sneak around and catch them in melee you can probably take them out pretty easy
Also, not enough Clanrats and Skavenslaves were depicted dying to friendly fire.

The Empire didn't invent the Steam tanks. They were invented by Warhammer Da Vinci who lived in Warhammer Italy. He died and now absolutely nobody knows how to make more of them. I think the Empire have like 8 in total, most are normally out of action at any one time.
And if we were to have realistic Skaven artillery, it would explode violently after firing 5 shots. Or randomly spin around and shoot a random friendly unit. The problem with the Skaven artillery in this game is that they get all the up sides of having the strongest artillery but none of the downsides of it being the most dangerous to use artillery in the game.

Hands down my favorite part of this is when the Skaven warplock jezzails, a precision sniper unit, starts to fire blindly into the woods... cause everyone else was doing it and I guess they didn’t want to be left out.

Little detail I just noticed:
The skaven who first started shooting was shooting a gun that relied on two Skaven to properly operate as one would shoot, then the other would operate the crank. At first he was the crank operator before his gunner died. THEN as they started to all join in on the shooting, some random Skaven came in and became his crank operator.
That's neat, they may trample over one another because their numbers are limitless, but they still know teamwork.
Also its probably safer to be the crank operator than the gunner so someone with a gun probably chucked it aside to be the cranker.
honestly 'crank operator' is probably a higher rank than whatever he was and he noticed the opening and pounced on it like a true Skaven. This is a race of narcissistic megalomaniacs, each one convinced they're the greatest most intelligent creature in the world and all others conspire to keep them down.
Eh, more like one will crank until he sees an opportunity to kill the shooter and take his gun. That isn't an exaggeration.
How a skaven slave gets promoted in a shell nut
If skaven didn't understand team work they wouldn't make for an efficient fighting force.

@@manospondylus4896 The Covenant at least understood that Forerunner tech was tech, and tried to reverse engineer it.
The Lizardmen don't really even have a concept of technology. As far as they are concerned, they were given all the tools they need to fulfill their purpose by the Old Ones. As such, Lizardman technology is the same now as it was thousands of years ago: the Old Ones designed them this way and they fight Chaos fine this way, so the Lizardmen see no need to change.
Old One relics are revered, and also used in war, but the Lizardmen don't know how it works and make no effort to understand how it works. Maybe the Slann know, but they reveal little and act rarely.

It will take a while they are just releasing total war 3 kingdoms next month and they will focus on the dlc for that game with the last dlc for warhammer 2 which is faction dlc . Maybe it will come in late 2020 or early 2021

@@YayaBunWa I don't care what anyone says. As somebody totally new to the franchise, I liked DoW3. A little repetitive, but I had loads of fun.
@@jaieet well, I am glad you enjoyed the game, but for me... personally... it is a massive piss take on the franchise, as a whole, a few things looked awesome ( really, i liked the look of the Knight ), but other things just take me completely out of the established DoW universe, such as that backflipping chapter master in Tactical Dreadnought Armor ( Terminator, for short ).
@@jaieet Try Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. Campaign was great (Soulstorm not so much). If you are more into micro and less base building the try DoW2. Both games were great in it's own right and they aged well in my opinion.
@@Mithguar I'll definitely take a closer look. I was a little disappointed when DoW3 stopped being supported, so maybe I should try it between now and the skaven/lizardmen dlc drop.

The choice of reference makes a lot of sense as far as lore goes as skaven is described as twitchy and nervous when they have to move out of their tunnels and into enemy territory.
