I'm pretty sure the War of Vengeance happened _after_ the war against the Second Throne of the Heavens (2nd Descender), which is when Byakuyakoku's ancestors fell to Enkanomiya. Also, I personally call it the Honkaiverse, as Hoyoverse is the name of the company, and not all of their games are part of the Honkaiverse (ZZZ isn't, ToT weirdly is).
15:40 Wanna add a point to this, on the hypostases-looking blocks inside the new boss (when in dormant/tree state) and blocks around Gosoythoth, there's a "5 diamond" shape that looks REALLY similar to the icon of Kaeya's Elemental Skill. The only difference is that Kaeya's are a bit elongated to meet on one end while the boss one connect to the half (quarter to be exact) circle

I remember falling down that ridonk huge tunnel in Ochkanatlan ahnd having a vague associating of it to the ol' Chasm, as that was one of my favorite areas in Teyvat thus far, buht Ashikai's connecting that to Hutao's quest (FOREVER AGO) ahnd the associating deepdownwward places a la Khaenrai-NightKingdom-Enkanomiya ect to the land of the dead and the abyss blew my brain out,,,, still processing awll of this'n l,xD
it really doesn't. We are told the Abyss creatures were eaten by the domain under the Nail during the Cataclysm. That the Abyss creatures had to be tricked to enter it and then it was sealed. This was a trap. It makes no sense to say the Abyss ate it's own guys or that if the Abyss critters had come from the domain under the Nail that they wouldn't know what they were being led back towards. In effect the domain under the Nail saved Liyue by eating all the Abyssal dudes. Plus the domain under the Nail is a single consciousness/entity. The Night realm isn't. The domain under the Nail only has the "souls" of the things it ate that entered it and got trapped. That's not true of the Night Kingdom nor of any dead land. Dead people's souls naturally travel to the dead land. They don't physically move their before death, then get trapped and eaten by the dead land.
OH MY GOD. The part about describing Abyss as an ink is a total eye-opener! Stay with me for a moment. If we will think about the abyss as the bottle of ink then it already contains everything that may be written, but without boundaries all words are merged. In order to "create" something someone must write the word with the ink. To have a power of "logos" is to define the boundaries for the ink to make a word. If the abyss-ink spills without a control, it just absorbs what was already written back into the nothing-everythin blackness. But having an Ink and Logos is not enough to write a story. you also need a canvas to write on. And ley lines act exactly like the canvas for Tevyat - you can "read" what was written in them and if something happens to the canvas the words are getting jumbled creating anomalies we usually see around ley lines disruptions. That's why the Abyss Order needs the Loom of Fate - to create fresh canvas so the one with the power of Logos can create new things with abyss-ink! And maybe the traveler is like a pen? It can absorb the ink into itself in order to write (and writing is creating boundaries for the ink as I've mentioned before). Genshin is solved It's a story about the characters of the written story trying to rewrite the book and escape the fate that was created by the author Plus, it explains why characters can travel to simulanka and back. A book with words that exists on a pages of another book (inside it's story) is made with the same words and ink. The only difference is the allocation on the canvas (i.e. book within a book is just more words) and genshin characters can travel alongside the canvas to some capacity. In other words, Simulanka is just a place, as real as dragonspine or Chasm on the greater canvas of Ley Lines.
Dang, did I just thought about kayea hangout where he says that the world is a stage and we are all actors in it, also furina too! And the traveler is a witness, also rex lapis, talks about that, moving from that, it makes sense that the world is a stage if all is written and mostly destiny is fixed.....but then....omg, I have so many pieces in my head that click all together so great but I can't but them into words😭 I hope you know where I am going with this, I think my brain just got jumped with this whole image that I can't even process right now

This makes sense along with how, at the end of Simulanka, the goal is to transcend the story and enter the real world. In this case, the only way to break free from fate and the gods is to become real. Perhaps forbidden knowledge is the fact that all of Teyvat is fiction and the real world lays beyond. Not unlike The Lego Movie now that I think about it.
If the traveller is like a tool through which abyss could "create" itself, then it also makes sense why melusines(who view world from abyss perspective) say that the traveller could swallow("absorb") the entire world
the traveler wielding the power of words/logos reminds me of their “language” voiceline where paimon remarks how quickly they learned teyvat’s language. always thought it was a cool detail, and now its lore relevant!
Having multiple Night Kingdoms makes a lot of sense considering that Sanhaj apparently summoned a "miniature Night Kingdom" in the Mare Jivari and then literally blew it up. That wouldn't make much sense if there was only 1 Night Kingdom.

I appreciate this video for two things. One, finally explaining the Night Kingdom in a way that makes sense to me. It always felt like a weird outlier in the grander scheme of Teyvat. If it's not one weird place with a weird function and instead part of a system of places that all have similar functions then I can accept it. The second thing is how you bring up the Traveler's full original power not being elemental at all. I always found it weird that people referred to the Traveler regaining their original power every time they absorbed a new element from the Statues of Seven because the Traveler seemed clueless about the elemental powers before Paimon explained anything. If they were really just getting back what the originally had then they shouldn't be surprised.
One small nitpick - Traveler seems to have an idea as to why they are absorbing those elements. At the very beginning of the game, when the Traveler touches an Anemo statue for the first time, Paimon goes "woah how did you get anemo like that?" One of the dialogue options the Traveler can choose is, "I think I know why, it's because-" and Paimon cuts them off like "it must be because you're not from this world, anyway, let's go!" And the other option is foreboding: "This can't be good." Within the frame of the first option, whatever the Traveler knows leads them into thinking this may not be a blessing after all. Paimon's reaction to that is something along the lines of "That's rude to say about the powers the gods gave you." So basically it's Paimon who paints this picture of "Alien Traveler gets granted elemental power by the gods" for the audience, but the Traveler seems to know better. After all, all we have to go on about what happened to them before they woke up near Mondstadt 500 years later is their narration. They may very well be omitting facts or straight up be lying. The Traveler certainly knows a lot more than they express, but that also goes with their personality - they let anyone assume facts about them. They don't really correct people about their age or motivation or where they are from (which people can't really tell because their outfits are not really in line with any of the 7 nations). To people they helped, they are kind and selfless angels. To (most) enemies they fought, they are this competitive and bloodthirsty force of nature. Even when Kaveh assumes they are as rude as Alhaitham when they first met him, they don't even correct THAT. So, yeah, you can usually tell what the Traveler discovers or finds out for the first time, but as for what they knew from the beginning, we have no clue. The Traveler and their twin are as mysterious as Khaenri'ah - maybe even more so, since there are no records hinting at their history.
@@StarburstGalexyI have this crack theory that the Twins after traveling and visiting different worlds they basically made a "Tourist" persona, a persona that is unassuming so that they can lay low in a world and only bask in its beauty. Not in Teyvat tho considering the moment they enter Teyvat not only one of the sibling gets turned into Royalty and when they try to leave the Sustainer stopped them and when the Traveler lost their powers they end up able to absorb the Elements which probably happened the first time in their life. So I think Teyvat is basically the Last world that they'll be visiting for it's the very world that they've been searching for (and also the world that has InTeyvat in it).
I hate to be that person to bring up Honkai Impact 3rd Lore for Genshin Lore, but you need to look at Vita and her design. Her aesthetic is very much peacock, and she has a mechanic/ultimate that breaks the sky open to deal greater damage. Her whole theme too is similar to that of a intergalactic traveler, and I think she has been given the same kind of motif as the travelers, specifically the abyssal twin. Her homeland was destroyed so she purses a new home, she goes through the sea of quanta and is basically a villain for multiple arcs till she is like an anti hero. I'm either on a crack theory, or maybe we might see something very similar to Vita in Genshin because there was a whole WOLRD setup between life and death; a land to rule above and the land to rule the dead wanting to be reborn, all set up around Vita's character. Hoyo loves bringing their beloved characters into their other games, and if they start anywhere, they start in Honkai Impact 3rd.
I'm so here for this one. Vita is such an unpredictable villian and if she has some connection to kaenriah and kaeya (because of his constellation) it would go crazy

Also ashikai, this is a long one, but i hope you do see it. I have a theory, please feel free to explore this angle. My theory is, the entire journey of the traveller in teyvat IS a retelling of the exact history, present and potential future of teyvat. This is why our sibling said that once traveler completes their journey they will know the truth of the world. Its like saying, i ll not spoil the ending of the book that you are reading, read till the last page and you ll know. Infact you can corelate each archon quest to some point in teyvat history. 1- Mondstadt- An abyss poisoned dragon(nibelung = dvalin) attacks the world. The god(primord of that world, accompanied by four heroes(shades? = Diluc, Jean, Paimon and Traveler) saves the world nad heals the dragon, but loses much of its power in this ordeal(Venti giving away some power to Dvalin and then losing the Gnosis). Thanks to the brave golden haired guest from afar, and his aid, there was hope and the dragon was saved and there were no casualties. 2- Liyue - The god(Primordial one = Morax) decides to hand over the world(Liyue) into human hands, but are they reliable enough to run it on their own? Will they be able to handle it? Lets put them through a test(Archon war = Liyue vs Osial..this is a bit iffy tbh), and thanks to the efforts of a brave blonde haired warrior, whose efforts managed to unite the seven of the land and envoys of heaven(qixing and adepti) the test was overcome and viola we have winners. Now the world is under the dominion of the seven(Seven archons = seven liyue qixing) while the God retires and recuperates. 3- Inazuma - Afraid of the mayhem that the outsiders may bring(i mean probably afraid after second who came's invasion), the God(Sustainer = Ei..you get it? Because by the actual logic Makoto would be Primordial One who isn't present anymore but planted a massive tree to stop the abyss invasion..perhaps just like how Primordial one planted Irminsul and now the sustainer is taking charge in their stead) decides to close off the world(Inazuman decree = Sustainer stopping anyone from entering or leaving...remember this is not about the firmament or fake sky here, as Inazuman decree was not a magical force, even the storm was reachable it was just very difficult to get in or out, but not impossible) so that the world can stay "sustained" for eternity, however, thanks to the help of some sea/space faring pirates, and some inside help(Thoma, Ayaka, Hiragi Chisato = Seelies/Angel/Khaenriahns?) "two" outsiders managed to enter.. a civil war erupted and the decree was appealed(idk what it translates with respect to teyvat..perhaps some sort of rebellion within Khaenriah? Or in heavens?) thanks to efforts of a certain golden haired traveler. 4- Sumeru - The King(Grand sage azar) who rules(governs) the kingdom(academia) that lies nestled under the roots of a divine tree(Khaenriah = academia..even though khaenriah is technically at the crown but it has been stated as being near the roots so be it), tries to make a mechanical god(idk..ruin graders/golems + alchemy)..an uprising happens against him and in the upheveal the God ends up changing the history forever(Rukkha's irminsul erasure). However the cataclysm that could have befallen was prevented thanks to the effort of a brave warrior. I haven't been able to correlate Fontaine with any event yet, but if this theory is correct, you can see that it is following a chronological order, so the events that we witnessed in Fontaine, should either have happened within the last 500 years when the traveler was asleep or perhaps it was about Egeria's death idk. It almost feels like the past 500 years were too unevent full. Either way one thing is clear, each archon quest is the retelling of major events from he past. However, in real life, the events did not go exactly the same..why? because the golden haired saviour who can change fate, was not part of them. Nibelung vs PO destroyed the corner of the world..but thanks to traveler, they were able to purify him instead and without any casualty. Archon war was devastating, while the events in Liyue were not, because traveler was there. In real life, Sustainer is probably still guarding the Firmament, perhaps with our sister by our side, we weren't exactly motivated enough to realize our destiny, but their sibling has now become their destiny and their strength of will allowing them to realize their role as a descender, thus they are NOW able to change fates. This is actually a very common trope in XianXia novels(Apotheosis is one good example where the MC has his sister taken by gods from higher heavens and then MC has to get stronger and face adversities to see her..and she keeps getting taken to higher heavens(not by force but by kind forces who need MC to level up) and in pursuit, MC gets stronger too). Hence we were able to make the wish of the people of Inazuma come true. Same in Sumeru. By this logic, what mavuika did -> Unite the power of 6 heroes with her own to unleash a power of higher order.....is most likely a foretelling of the final war. Tsaritsa will combine the power of 6 gnosis with her own, and then unleash a power perhaps on par with a descender. You have to understand that the final war, will be a war of descenders or people with power over fate one way or another. Traveller, Our sibling with the loom of fate, Tsaritsa with seven gnosis combined(i mean the Gnosis originate from a descender) and Primordial One.

So why cant it be that the travelers journey is just in a story book, retelling the tales of Teyvat in some sort of allegorical form?
Fontaine could be... Mmm. The one left in charge (Sustainer/Furina) while the real leader (PO/Focalors) is still in maintenance mode suffers terribly while trying to do what they were told. The the gold and white Sustainer seems to be being corrupted by the creeping red/black stuff in the intro, similar to Furina being slowly overtaken by despair over 500 years. Also, we were imprisoned in the Fortress, just like we were imprisoned in Teyvat.

In fontaine, the first thing we encounter is, face to face with a god(furina = sustainer) challenged to a duel which we arrogantly accepted(like travelers literal dialog options showed no hesitation..aka they were quite arrogant..arrogation of mankind)...then we somehow managed to bail out with the help of a third person(Lyney = Istaroth who whisked us through time 500 in future to save us..idk? ps this istaroth thing is just my theory). But the fontaine arc didn't go as we see in the opening cutscene, because..perhaps this is our fate changing power in play..we shifted the fate..perhaps..something we could not do 500 years ago..aka starting from fontaine, the story has caught up to real events...

I mean that is what entertainment is mathematically, just things reiterating themselves to create new versions to entertain, it's not a HoYo exclusive tactic, they simply refine it more than most.

The night kingdom being an underworld reminds me of the Sumerian underworld in Fate Grand Order. Where their underworld is literally just a huge space below the earth that you can enter and exit without dying just by going down underground or breaking the ground above where that underworld is. (Similar to how Mavuika broke the ground above the night kingdom under Natlan.)
I really hope the devs get to retool both the Chasm and Enkanomiya into the overworld for seamless transition the same way Natlan’s Night Kingdom and other underground locations. They didn’t have the resources at the time, but it’d be really awesome to tie everything together now.
If you do a certain hidden world quest in 5.2, you'll end up in a Khaenri'ahn tower *in* the Night Kingdom. You will realize what that place is if you did the Ochkanatlan quest and look out the window of that tower.

Now I remember why Yag'Sototh sounds familiar. Paladins had a few similarities in its lore - The Abyss, the Celestial Realm, Yagorath, The Devourer and the Shattered Moon (Goddess).
I wonder if the power of logos is the whole reason why the first human civilization was split across the lands of Teyvat and put to war against each other, in order to keep everyone in line rather than unified against a common cause.

I wonder if the traveler is an unknowingly double agent for the abyss. And paimon is what celestia sent to have them be their agent to keep an eye for them. So that means 2 charas unknowingly being agents for 2 different sides

OK NO BUT it always lowkey bothered me how these domains all looked consistent from the outside and yet once “inside” they all looked wildly different but now that we know about this nature of the abyss/mimiflora the different interiors of domains make so much sense! the abyss and the mimiflora try to mimic life/creations of Teyvat and so all the domains are basically “mimicking” regional terrain where the doors are located which is why the interiors vary so much 🤯🤯
Not on Genshin but in Honkai 3rd, one of the story beats is that the idea and concept of Honkai is never defined. From the player's perspective, none of the characters in the game actually fully understands it, like Kevin understands it is something to be fought, Dr. Mei studies Honkai and understands the property of it but not why. In many ways, this is very scentific, because in real science, it is like that we know the properties of 'dark matter' by measuring gravity, looking at empty space, and movement of galaxies but we do not know why dark matter exist, or how it interacts or achieves the things it does. In Honkai 3, there are many very smart scientists that fights against the Honkai and may has made hypothesis on what it actually is. One of the best 'guesses' on what Honkai is (i dont remember who said this but probably Dr. Mei or Mistlen) was that Honkai is the universe's propensity and preference to remain potential, not material. As in, when a story is written, then it is fixed, immovable, and unchangable. When a universe is observed and experienced, then its past is fixed, present happening, and future fated. Where as if a story remains unwritten, then anything could happen, and the universe is free to be anything that it could potentially be, and it is unbound and unrestrained. Honkai is the phenomenon for the universe to prefer and actively wants to revert back to the stage where it still has all the potential, and it behaves like a force that wants to corrode everything that has been written, observed, made, solid, and material. So some say Honkai is the energy of the potential, of the unobserved, unbuilt and unfated story. Sounds like the abyss? A power that can 'unwrite' a story like that has happened in Teyvat, and because it can unmake anything reverting back the primal energy of potential, it ignores laws made by archons and gods because all those are artificial and 'written'. It obeys no authority because its effect is to revert the universe into a state without authorities. In many ways the abyss is less like a 'power' similar to the elements but rather something that just 'happens'. And instead of saying the Abyss is like 'ink', it is more like the 'blank', because the world is a painting and the abyss is to ensure that this painting is 'undrawn' so that it may be redrawn (samsara) or something else could be painted brand new.
Your theory of source material coming from the abyss is remeniscent of Honaki Impact 3rds concepts of the the Sea of Quanta and how the imaginary tree draws from the sea of quanta to establish the different realities. It seems as though someone aware of this concept in the multiverse is trying to simulate it in Teyvat.
So teyvat is currently having their own mini Imaginary Tree and Quantum Sea war within it. Just with a fantasy twist instead of the sci fi space twist they got in Honkai. Wunderbar guessing it also means that the world might be floating in the sea, trying to reclaim it and the plan is to create their own little imaginary tree that can feed on the abyssal sea to keep them from sinking
Considering HI3 part 2 and confirmation that HI3, Genshin and Star Rail takes place in the same universe/imaginary tree/sea of quanta, just in different locations/time, it seems to be the case. Star Rail was confirmed as a partial sequel of HI3, since Welt travels to other parts of the universe to protect Star Rail Himeko after Alien Space manhua. Though the problem is due to the solar system being too far away and not connected to the astral express rails, Welt has to stay with the trailblaze for a while. For Genshin, it can be assumed the narrative took place in the other area of the Imaginary tree, but it's existence is at risk. I think it's situation is close to HI3 part 1.5 and part 2 due to the similarities. In terms of timeline, based on chapter 17 where Otto manages to gaze Davalin by using the divine key but ignores Teyvat as it doesn't hold any answers he's searching for, likely takes place the same time as part 1
Something else that really stood out to me in regards to the World Formula/Tree of Life (and thus the loom of fate) being designed to convert infinite into finite, as a whole the concept is very similar to Imaginary Normalization, something Kiana was able to do over in HI3 during Thus Spoke Apocalypse, resulting in Otto being able to make a new branch reality. Really makes me wonder if Khaenri'ah's plan to create a new world with the loom is actually a form of Imaginary Normalization, and they seek to create an entirely new branch reality to inhabit, free from Celestia. Awesome theory as usual Ashikai!
If that's the case then Genshin 2 isn't the Twins leaving Teyvat but just jumping to another world inside the Human Realm. And at the End of Genshin there will be different worlds encompassing the Seven Elements the size of thousands of galaxies.

OKEY SO REGARDING THE YOG-SOTHOTH AND THE SILVER KEYS This is literally what Neus the Erudition from HSR does with the Keys of Wisdom (which are very silver-y), handing them out as an invitation to "The Temple of Neus" I mean, the flavour text doesn't specify that they hand them out directly, but it does say "Neus will teach you how to ask the right questions" so I feel like it's close enough I'm not sure how relevant it could be, but with Neus being a gigantic eye and constantly gathering information on the world it doeees seem quite simmilar to the role of Yog-Sothoth in other versions, so maybe it could be a lead? That being said, Aeons in HSR are as cryptic as they get, and aside from the fact that Neus is (probably) man-made and their functionality we don't have a whole lot of info about them- Either way, hope this little revelation might be interesting to consider!

I know this is a Genshin video but like The whole section about Yog Sothoth made me think about Star Rail’s Nous and path of Erudition. The silver key symbolism, the Deity of Knowledge/Gate to Knowledge, the fact that in a sense Nous looks like a “black sun” with a single eye in its midst. this whole theory just makes me even more interested in who the hexenzirkle really are!!! are they perhaps a coalition of beings that were created inside the bounds of teyvat who are able to use the power of creation(abyss)?? although it doesnt seem like they are able to suck up the abyss like the traveller can, they seem to have been able to manipulate what they were able to collect. im specifically thinking of how they gave andersdottir a vial of mysterious "ink" that could create worlds--- maybe that was some sort of concentrated abyssal creation ink that someone like rhinedottir was able to collect. it definitely seems to me that the hexenzirkle got further than khaenriah in terms of utilizing the abyss (which is possibly why gold left khaenriah as a sinner and joined up with the witches). alice also seems to have some sort of creation abilities (with the GAA events and such), so i wonder if she is also able to use the powers of the abyss?? idk but the hexenzirkle continues to be the most intriguing faction in the game
I've always got the feeling that teyvat was acting similar to the ship in that one episode of doctor who that was moving by whipping a large space whale type creature. Like the whole world is based off the exploitation of this creature below

Thinking about Teyvat as Operational System(OS) like Windows, each nation is like a different software, they can co-exist in the OS but there are things you can only do in specific softwares, like diving in Fontaine and Flogiston in Natlan. The night kingdom works like a massive temporary folder, you can even recover some files (ancient name bearers) if you lose them. Otherwise they dissolve in the huge sea of unfiltered data. The false sky is the Firewall and the outer universe is the internet trying to hack your pc 😬
Awesome video! It's so cool to me what you found about the world formula and it's connections to the abyss and structure of the world. I'm gonna have that floating in the back of my head for weeks I'm sure. Also it's actually genius to start using the Night Kingdom terminology to describe the concepts of bubble worlds/dream worlds/hive minds in the hoyoverse in a really accessible way. 38:30 Maybe it's not each domain is a sephira, but each *type* of domain could be a sephira: trounce domain, domains of mastery, domains of blessing, domains of forgering, Challenge domains. That's five already. The Spiral Abyss & the Imaginarium theatre are also liste as domains, if needed.
Just to add on to your point that gosoythoth is a prisoner between the roots of irminsul: if it is the heart of the abyss and the abyss is considered as ink, therefore, gosoythoth could probably behave like a liquid. Hence why the abyss appears so luch in natlan: the leylind being shattered and patched up with night kindom, there is bound to be some flaw or a leak. Thats probably why gosoythoth makes his appearance in natlan!!
I’ve been saying for MONTHS that Langqiu from HI3 part 2 reminded me of the night kingdom. Ruimu too, with Oxia as natlan. I haven’t done chapter 6 yet so can’t say much abou ruimu, but in 5 we learned characters go there after competing in a “war” competition to help push back the evil force… it’s a night kingdom lol
@purepotassium the image Perception shows you of oxia, langqiu, and the sea of data (quanta) sort of set it off, with the explanation of Langqiu protecting Oxia from the sea trying to invade. The orb in the sky that showed up in Langqiu and in the most recent chapter when litost was talking about his past reminded me a lot of the abyss avatar in the sky in act 4. Langqiu had seven nails, one for each Shu, that helped suppress the shadows. I forget if they reminded me more of the celestial nails or the wayob, but definitely similar either way. Chapter 5 had a very night kingdom wars-like competition with the 10 Shus war, where people with stone identifiers fought for a spot to travel to ruimu with the promise of immortality for winning. There was also chapter 3 where they kept playing up how much songque needed to sacrifice herself in order for the shadow suppressing ritual to go successfully. She ended up leading a group of 6 others, whom she had fought with 100 years ago against the same force, to fight back the shadows. spoilers if you haven’t gotten past chapter 3-EX It doesn’t help that all of this is happening inside a simulation, with the whole “sky is fake” thing.
@Trnslts yeah you bring up a lot of great points. Hoyo seems like they're really trying to explain the structure of these similar 'night kingdoms' but I don't know where it's going just yet. I would hope it's pointing towards clues about the true nature of teyvat (it seems to be the most complex bubble world we've seen so far) and it's three realms somehow being layered or nested? idk at this point but I'm really trying to read between the lines cause I know they're doing all of this intentionally

I think the leyline network is what makes other night kingdoms as well....the natlan night kingdom is inspired by leyline network and serves as secondary leylines for natlan as the it was weak in natlan....the leyline networks in other kingdoms is what makes other night kingdoms possible i guess....beneath the deep chasm where xiao yelan quest took place, enkanomiya also displays night kingdom like attributes which i think it got after sinking below teyvat surface and merging with one of the night kingdoms, khaenriah beneath sumeru desert....not sure about fontane as it has primordial water under neath..but that maybe the reason why it is on a raised platform and leyline network is beneath primordial water reserve....if we think in computer terms..night kingdoms are kind of like recycle bin which holds the info before getting deleted...so souls of people after they die and before they become energy in leylines....
Perhaps this is just a wild speculation but I wonder if it's possible that the Abyss itself is actually the remains of Dragon King Nibelung, pinned underneath Teyvat by the Primordial One and being used as the source material to create the Human Realm. It doesn't fit very nice with the previously established lore of Teyvat having a Light Realm, a Void Realm, and a Human Realm, and dragons being from the Light Realm, but I was thinking about it because in Norse Mythology you've got that dragon trapped under a world tree, both Dragons and the Abyss hate Celestia, and Dragons have attempted using the Abyss against the Heavenly Principles only for it to blow up in their faces. That last bit makes me think of our little saurian buddy and how he has the ancient dragon's power that will eventually become too much for him to bear, perhaps that is what happened with Dragons and the Abyss. Trying to grab their former king's power to use against the Heavenly Principles, only for it to overpower them. A quick thought I had to maybe tie this together: The Abyss is *the result* of trapping Nibelung inside the Void Realm, instead of merely being synonymous with the Void Realm. He was the ultimate creature of the Light Realm, and the Primordial One defeats him by trapping him in an endless darkness, but this has the unintended consequence of creating The Abyss. The Abyss being the results of the Dragon King's anger and resentment tainting what was otherwise a totally neutral void.

if hoyo like to reuse ideas: project stigma...project stuzha... sounds awfully similar maybe the tsaritsa forcefully taking the gnoses, only to willingly give them to the traveler (as well as access to the power of cryo) so she can persuade the traveler to freeze everyone in the harshect icy winter, while burning irminsul, to save them from celestia/the heavenly principles, (push all of existence back from malkuth all the way back to kether and back while burning da'ath in the process?) bring about fimbulvetr as a safety measure before ragnarok...purification by ice
An interesting thing I thought of is just like how the tree has 11 spots with one hidden, the fatui harbingers also has 11 positions with one still hidden when Snezhnaya is being released next year. I wonder if there is a connection between these two, especially since they plan on burning down Irminsul and maybe plant a new Tree of life.
i feel like maybe they aren't Night Kingdoms per say, more so things similar in nature. or maybe below the mainland of Teyvat, it's all a similar space, just disconnected due to physical barriers? haven't finished the video yet though!
I highly recommend you read the king in yellow. A lot of it's narrative construction reminds me of genshin- especially the fact that the summer events are like a microchasm of what is to occur later in the storyline. However, 5.0 was our summer event, more or less. Idk a lot if what you spoke of reminds me of the king in yellow's storytelling manner, but it's one of those books you have to reread a few times to fully understand.

Also, I personally call it the Honkaiverse, as Hoyoverse is the name of the company, and not all of their games are part of the Honkaiverse (ZZZ isn't, ToT weirdly is).

15:40 Wanna add a point to this, on the hypostases-looking blocks inside the new boss (when in dormant/tree state) and blocks around Gosoythoth, there's a "5 diamond" shape that looks REALLY similar to the icon of Kaeya's Elemental Skill. I remember falling down that ridonk huge tunnel in Ochkanatlan ahnd having a vague associating of it to the ol' Chasm, as that was one of my favorite areas in Teyvat thus far, buht Ashikai's connecting that to Hutao's quest (FOREVER AGO) ahnd the associating deepdownwward places a la Khaenrai-NightKingdom-Enkanomiya ect to the land of the dead and the abyss blew my brain out,,,, still processing awll of this'n l,xD
it really doesn't. We are told the Abyss creatures were eaten by the domain under the Nail during the Cataclysm. That the Abyss creatures had to be tricked to enter it and then it was sealed. This was a trap. It makes no sense to say the Abyss ate it's own guys or that if the Abyss critters had come from the domain under the Nail that they wouldn't know what they were being led back towards. In effect the domain under the Nail saved Liyue by eating all the Abyssal dudes.
Plus the domain under the Nail is a single consciousness/entity. The Night realm isn't. The domain under the Nail only has the "souls" of the things it ate that entered it and got trapped. That's not true of the Night Kingdom nor of any dead land. Dead people's souls naturally travel to the dead land. They don't physically move their before death, then get trapped and eaten by the dead land.
OH MY GOD. The part about describing Abyss as an ink is a total eye-opener! Stay with me for a moment. If we will think about the abyss as the bottle of ink then it already contains everything that may be written, but without boundaries all words are merged. In order to "create" something someone must write the word with the ink. To have a power of "logos" is to define the boundaries for the ink to make a word. If the abyss-ink spills without a control, it just absorbs what was already written back into the nothing-everythin blackness. But having an Ink and Logos is not enough to write a story. you also need a canvas to write on. And ley lines act exactly like the canvas for Tevyat - you can "read" what was written in them and if something happens to the canvas the words are getting jumbled creating anomalies we usually see around ley lines disruptions. That's why the Abyss Order needs the Loom of Fate - to create fresh canvas so the one with the power of Logos can create new things with abyss-ink! And maybe the traveler is like a pen? It can absorb the ink into itself in order to write (and writing is creating boundaries for the ink as I've mentioned before).
Genshin is solved
It's a story about the characters of the written story trying to rewrite the book and escape the fate that was created by the author
Plus, it explains why characters can travel to simulanka and back. A book with words that exists on a pages of another book (inside it's story) is made with the same words and ink. The only difference is the allocation on the canvas (i.e. book within a book is just more words) and genshin characters can travel alongside the canvas to some capacity. In other words, Simulanka is just a place, as real as dragonspine or Chasm on the greater canvas of Ley Lines.

This makes sense along with how, at the end of Simulanka, the goal is to transcend the story and enter the real world. In this case, the only way to break free from fate and the gods is to become real.
Perhaps forbidden knowledge is the fact that all of Teyvat is fiction and the real world lays beyond. Not unlike The Lego Movie now that I think about it.
If the traveller is like a tool through which abyss could "create" itself, then it also makes sense why melusines(who view world from abyss perspective) say that the traveller could swallow("absorb") the entire world

Having multiple Night Kingdoms makes a lot of sense considering that Sanhaj apparently summoned a "miniature Night Kingdom" in the Mare Jivari and then literally blew it up. That wouldn't make much sense if there was only 1 Night Kingdom.
When I read that part I just imagined that Sanhaj just made a domain expansion of a night kingdom and detonated it.

I appreciate this video for two things. One, finally explaining the Night Kingdom in a way that makes sense to me. It always felt like a weird outlier in the grander scheme of Teyvat. If it's not one weird place with a weird function and instead part of a system of places that all have similar functions then I can accept it. The second thing is how you bring up the Traveler's full original power not being elemental at all. I always found it weird that people referred to the Traveler regaining their original power every time they absorbed a new element from the Statues of Seven because the Traveler seemed clueless about the elemental powers before Paimon explained anything. If they were really just getting back what the originally had then they shouldn't be surprised.
One small nitpick - Traveler seems to have an idea as to why they are absorbing those elements. At the very beginning of the game, when the Traveler touches an Anemo statue for the first time, Paimon goes "woah how did you get anemo like that?" One of the dialogue options the Traveler can choose is, "I think I know why, it's because-" and Paimon cuts them off like "it must be because you're not from this world, anyway, let's go!" And the other option is foreboding: "This can't be good." Within the frame of the first option, whatever the Traveler knows leads them into thinking this may not be a blessing after all. Paimon's reaction to that is something along the lines of "That's rude to say about the powers the gods gave you." So basically it's Paimon who paints this picture of "Alien Traveler gets granted elemental power by the gods" for the audience, but the Traveler seems to know better. After all, all we have to go on about what happened to them before they woke up near Mondstadt 500 years later is their narration. They may very well be omitting facts or straight up be lying. The Traveler certainly knows a lot more than they express, but that also goes with their personality - they let anyone assume facts about them. They don't really correct people about their age or motivation or where they are from (which people can't really tell because their outfits are not really in line with any of the 7 nations). To people they helped, they are kind and selfless angels. To (most) enemies they fought, they are this competitive and bloodthirsty force of nature. Even when Kaveh assumes they are as rude as Alhaitham when they first met him, they don't even correct THAT. So, yeah, you can usually tell what the Traveler discovers or finds out for the first time, but as for what they knew from the beginning, we have no clue. The Traveler and their twin are as mysterious as Khaenri'ah - maybe even more so, since there are no records hinting at their history.

@@StarburstGalexyI have this crack theory that the Twins after traveling and visiting different worlds they basically made a "Tourist" persona, a persona that is unassuming so that they can lay low in a world and only bask in its beauty.
Not in Teyvat tho considering the moment they enter Teyvat not only one of the sibling gets turned into Royalty and when they try to leave the Sustainer stopped them and when the Traveler lost their powers they end up able to absorb the Elements which probably happened the first time in their life.
So I think Teyvat is basically the Last world that they'll be visiting for it's the very world that they've been searching for (and also the world that has InTeyvat in it).
I hate to be that person to bring up Honkai Impact 3rd Lore for Genshin Lore, but you need to look at Vita and her design. Her aesthetic is very much peacock, and she has a mechanic/ultimate that breaks the sky open to deal greater damage. Her whole theme too is similar to that of a intergalactic traveler, and I think she has been given the same kind of motif as the travelers, specifically the abyssal twin. Her homeland was destroyed so she purses a new home, she goes through the sea of quanta and is basically a villain for multiple arcs till she is like an anti hero. I'm either on a crack theory, or maybe we might see something very similar to Vita in Genshin because there was a whole WOLRD setup between life and death; a land to rule above and the land to rule the dead wanting to be reborn, all set up around Vita's character. Hoyo loves bringing their beloved characters into their other games, and if they start anywhere, they start in Honkai Impact 3rd.

Also ashikai, this is a long one, but i hope you do see it. I have a theory, please feel free to explore this angle. My theory is, the entire journey of the traveller in teyvat IS a retelling of the exact history, present and potential future of teyvat. This is why our sibling said that once traveler completes their journey they will know the truth of the world. Its like saying, i ll not spoil the ending of the book that you are reading, read till the last page and you ll know.
Infact you can corelate each archon quest to some point in teyvat history.
1- Mondstadt- An abyss poisoned dragon(nibelung = dvalin) attacks the world. The god(primord of that world, accompanied by four heroes(shades? = Diluc, Jean, Paimon and Traveler) saves the world nad heals the dragon, but loses much of its power in this ordeal(Venti giving away some power to Dvalin and then losing the Gnosis). Thanks to the brave golden haired guest from afar, and his aid, there was hope and the dragon was saved and there were no casualties.
2- Liyue - The god(Primordial one = Morax) decides to hand over the world(Liyue) into human hands, but are they reliable enough to run it on their own? Will they be able to handle it? Lets put them through a test(Archon war = Liyue vs Osial..this is a bit iffy tbh), and thanks to the efforts of a brave blonde haired warrior, whose efforts managed to unite the seven of the land and envoys of heaven(qixing and adepti) the test was overcome and viola we have winners. Now the world is under the dominion of the seven(Seven archons = seven liyue qixing) while the God retires and recuperates.
3- Inazuma - Afraid of the mayhem that the outsiders may bring(i mean probably afraid after second who came's invasion), the God(Sustainer = Ei..you get it? Because by the actual logic Makoto would be Primordial One who isn't present anymore but planted a massive tree to stop the abyss invasion..perhaps just like how Primordial one planted Irminsul and now the sustainer is taking charge in their stead) decides to close off the world(Inazuman decree = Sustainer stopping anyone from entering or leaving...remember this is not about the firmament or fake sky here, as Inazuman decree was not a magical force, even the storm was reachable it was just very difficult to get in or out, but not impossible) so that the world can stay "sustained" for eternity, however, thanks to the help of some sea/space faring pirates, and some inside help(Thoma, Ayaka, Hiragi Chisato = Seelies/Angel/Khaenriahns?) "two" outsiders managed to enter.. a civil war erupted and the decree was appealed(idk what it translates with respect to teyvat..perhaps some sort of rebellion within Khaenriah? Or in heavens?) thanks to efforts of a certain golden haired traveler.
4- Sumeru - The King(Grand sage azar) who rules(governs) the kingdom(academia) that lies nestled under the roots of a divine tree(Khaenriah = academia..even though khaenriah is technically at the crown but it has been stated as being near the roots so be it), tries to make a mechanical god(idk..ruin graders/golems + alchemy)..an uprising happens against him and in the upheveal the God ends up changing the history forever(Rukkha's irminsul erasure). However the cataclysm that could have befallen was prevented thanks to the effort of a brave warrior.
I haven't been able to correlate Fontaine with any event yet, but if this theory is correct, you can see that it is following a chronological order, so the events that we witnessed in Fontaine, should either have happened within the last 500 years when the traveler was asleep or perhaps it was about Egeria's death idk. It almost feels like the past 500 years were too unevent full. Either way one thing is clear, each archon quest is the retelling of major events from he past. However, in real life, the events did not go exactly the same..why? because the golden haired saviour who can change fate, was not part of them. Nibelung vs PO destroyed the corner of the world..but thanks to traveler, they were able to purify him instead and without any casualty. Archon war was devastating, while the events in Liyue were not, because traveler was there. In real life, Sustainer is probably still guarding the Firmament, perhaps with our sister by our side, we weren't exactly motivated enough to realize our destiny, but their sibling has now become their destiny and their strength of will allowing them to realize their role as a descender, thus they are NOW able to change fates. This is actually a very common trope in XianXia novels(Apotheosis is one good example where the MC has his sister taken by gods from higher heavens and then MC has to get stronger and face adversities to see her..and she keeps getting taken to higher heavens(not by force but by kind forces who need MC to level up) and in pursuit, MC gets stronger too). Hence we were able to make the wish of the people of Inazuma come true. Same in Sumeru.
By this logic, what mavuika did -> Unite the power of 6 heroes with her own to unleash a power of higher order.....is most likely a foretelling of the final war. Tsaritsa will combine the power of 6 gnosis with her own, and then unleash a power perhaps on par with a descender. You have to understand that the final war, will be a war of descenders or people with power over fate one way or another. Traveller, Our sibling with the loom of fate, Tsaritsa with seven gnosis combined(i mean the Gnosis originate from a descender) and Primordial One.

Fontaine could be... Mmm. The one left in charge (Sustainer/Furina) while the real leader (PO/Focalors) is still in maintenance mode suffers terribly while trying to do what they were told. The the gold and white Sustainer seems to be being corrupted by the creeping red/black stuff in the intro, similar to Furina being slowly overtaken by despair over 500 years. Also, we were imprisoned in the Fortress, just like we were imprisoned in Teyvat.

But the fontaine arc didn't go as we see in the opening cutscene, because..perhaps this is our fate changing power in play..we shifted the fate..perhaps..something we could not do 500 years ago..aka starting from fontaine, the story has caught up to real events...

The night kingdom being an underworld reminds me of the Sumerian underworld in Fate Grand Order. Where their underworld is literally just a huge space below the earth that you can enter and exit without dying just by going down underground or breaking the ground above where that underworld is. (Similar to how Mavuika broke the ground above the night kingdom under Natlan.)

OK NO BUT it always lowkey bothered me how these domains all looked consistent from the outside and yet once “inside” they all looked wildly different but now that we know about this nature of the abyss/mimiflora the different interiors of domains make so much sense! the abyss and the mimiflora try to mimic life/creations of Teyvat and so all the domains are basically “mimicking” regional terrain where the doors are located which is why the interiors vary so much 🤯🤯
Not on Genshin but in Honkai 3rd, one of the story beats is that the idea and concept of Honkai is never defined. From the player's perspective, none of the characters in the game actually fully understands it, like Kevin understands it is something to be fought, Dr. Mei studies Honkai and understands the property of it but not why. In many ways, this is very scentific, because in real science, it is like that we know the properties of 'dark matter' by measuring gravity, looking at empty space, and movement of galaxies but we do not know why dark matter exist, or how it interacts or achieves the things it does.
In Honkai 3, there are many very smart scientists that fights against the Honkai and may has made hypothesis on what it actually is. One of the best 'guesses' on what Honkai is (i dont remember who said this but probably Dr. Mei or Mistlen) was that Honkai is the universe's propensity and preference to remain potential, not material. As in, when a story is written, then it is fixed, immovable, and unchangable. When a universe is observed and experienced, then its past is fixed, present happening, and future fated. Where as if a story remains unwritten, then anything could happen, and the universe is free to be anything that it could potentially be, and it is unbound and unrestrained. Honkai is the phenomenon for the universe to prefer and actively wants to revert back to the stage where it still has all the potential, and it behaves like a force that wants to corrode everything that has been written, observed, made, solid, and material. So some say Honkai is the energy of the potential, of the unobserved, unbuilt and unfated story.
Sounds like the abyss? A power that can 'unwrite' a story like that has happened in Teyvat, and because it can unmake anything reverting back the primal energy of potential, it ignores laws made by archons and gods because all those are artificial and 'written'. It obeys no authority because its effect is to revert the universe into a state without authorities. In many ways the abyss is less like a 'power' similar to the elements but rather something that just 'happens'. And instead of saying the Abyss is like 'ink', it is more like the 'blank', because the world is a painting and the abyss is to ensure that this painting is 'undrawn' so that it may be redrawn (samsara) or something else could be painted brand new.
Your theory of source material coming from the abyss is remeniscent of Honaki Impact 3rds concepts of the the Sea of Quanta and how the imaginary tree draws from the sea of quanta to establish the different realities. It seems as though someone aware of this concept in the multiverse is trying to simulate it in Teyvat.

So teyvat is currently having their own mini Imaginary Tree and Quantum Sea war within it. Just with a fantasy twist instead of the sci fi space twist they got in Honkai. Wunderbar guessing it also means that the world might be floating in the sea, trying to reclaim it and the plan is to create their own little imaginary tree that can feed on the abyssal sea to keep them from sinking
Considering HI3 part 2 and confirmation that HI3, Genshin and Star Rail takes place in the same universe/imaginary tree/sea of quanta, just in different locations/time, it seems to be the case. Star Rail was confirmed as a partial sequel of HI3, since Welt travels to other parts of the universe to protect Star Rail Himeko after Alien Space manhua. Though the problem is due to the solar system being too far away and not connected to the astral express rails, Welt has to stay with the trailblaze for a while.
For Genshin, it can be assumed the narrative took place in the other area of the Imaginary tree, but it's existence is at risk. I think it's situation is close to HI3 part 1.5 and part 2 due to the similarities. In terms of timeline, based on chapter 17 where Otto manages to gaze Davalin by using the divine key but ignores Teyvat as it doesn't hold any answers he's searching for, likely takes place the same time as part 1

Really makes me wonder if Khaenri'ah's plan to create a new world with the loom is actually a form of Imaginary Normalization, and they seek to create an entirely new branch reality to inhabit, free from Celestia. Awesome theory as usual Ashikai!
If that's the case then Genshin 2 isn't the Twins leaving Teyvat but just jumping to another world inside the Human Realm.
And at the End of Genshin there will be different worlds encompassing the Seven Elements the size of thousands of galaxies.

This is literally what Neus the Erudition from HSR does with the Keys of Wisdom (which are very silver-y), handing them out as an invitation to "The Temple of Neus"
I mean, the flavour text doesn't specify that they hand them out directly, but it does say "Neus will teach you how to ask the right questions" so I feel like it's close enough
I'm not sure how relevant it could be, but with Neus being a gigantic eye and constantly gathering information on the world it doeees seem quite simmilar to the role of Yog-Sothoth in other versions, so maybe it could be a lead?
That being said, Aeons in HSR are as cryptic as they get, and aside from the fact that Neus is (probably) man-made and their functionality we don't have a whole lot of info about them-

Also, regarding the Aeons, we aren't really sure how old they are; we know Nous was created around ~1300 amber Eras after Qlipoth was born, but we don't really know what Amber Era the current game takes place in, though from the wiki it does seem like that was at the very least ~4800 years ago (probably a lot more since the whole swarm disaster happened in the meantime)

The whole section about Yog Sothoth made me think about Star Rail’s Nous and path of Erudition. The silver key symbolism, the Deity of Knowledge/Gate to Knowledge, the fact that in a sense Nous looks like a “black sun” with a single eye in its midst. Hoyo seems like it really loves this Outer God

are they perhaps a coalition of beings that were created inside the bounds of teyvat who are able to use the power of creation(abyss)?? although it doesnt seem like they are able to suck up the abyss like the traveller can, they seem to have been able to manipulate what they were able to collect. im specifically thinking of how they gave andersdottir a vial of mysterious "ink" that could create worlds--- maybe that was some sort of concentrated abyssal creation ink that someone like rhinedottir was able to collect. it definitely seems to me that the hexenzirkle got further than khaenriah in terms of utilizing the abyss (which is possibly why gold left khaenriah as a sinner and joined up with the witches).
alice also seems to have some sort of creation abilities (with the GAA events and such), so i wonder if she is also able to use the powers of the abyss?? idk but the hexenzirkle continues to be the most intriguing faction in the game

Thinking about Teyvat as Operational System(OS) like Windows, each nation is like a different software, they can co-exist in the OS but there are things you can only do in specific softwares, like diving in Fontaine and Flogiston in Natlan. The night kingdom works like a massive temporary folder, you can even recover some files (ancient name bearers) if you lose them. Otherwise they dissolve in the huge sea of unfiltered data.

Just to add on to your point that gosoythoth is a prisoner between the roots of irminsul: if it is the heart of the abyss and the abyss is considered as ink, therefore, gosoythoth could probably behave like a liquid. Hence why the abyss appears so luch in natlan: the leylind being shattered and patched up with night kindom, there is bound to be some flaw or a leak. Thats probably why gosoythoth makes his appearance in natlan!!
I’ve been saying for MONTHS that Langqiu from HI3 part 2 reminded me of the night kingdom. Ruimu too, with Oxia as natlan. I haven’t done chapter 6 yet so can’t say much abou ruimu, but in 5 we learned characters go there after competing in a “war” competition to help push back the evil force… it’s a night kingdom lol

@purepotassium the image Perception shows you of oxia, langqiu, and the sea of data (quanta) sort of set it off, with the explanation of Langqiu protecting Oxia from the sea trying to invade. The orb in the sky that showed up in Langqiu and in the most recent chapter when litost was talking about his past reminded me a lot of the abyss avatar in the sky in act 4. Langqiu had seven nails, one for each Shu, that helped suppress the shadows. I forget if they reminded me more of the celestial nails or the wayob, but definitely similar either way. Chapter 5 had a very night kingdom wars-like competition with the 10 Shus war, where people with stone identifiers fought for a spot to travel to ruimu with the promise of immortality for winning.
There was also chapter 3 where they kept playing up how much songque needed to sacrifice herself in order for the shadow suppressing ritual to go successfully. She ended up leading a group of 6 others, whom she had fought with 100 years ago against the same force, to fight back the shadows.

I would hope it's pointing towards clues about the true nature of teyvat (it seems to be the most complex bubble world we've seen so far) and it's three realms somehow being layered or nested? idk at this point but I'm really trying to read between the lines cause I know they're doing all of this intentionally

I think the leyline network is what makes other night kingdoms as well....the natlan night kingdom is inspired by leyline network and serves as secondary leylines for natlan as the it was weak in natlan....the leyline networks in other kingdoms is what makes other night kingdoms possible i guess....beneath the deep chasm where xiao yelan quest took place, enkanomiya also displays night kingdom like attributes which i think it got after sinking below teyvat surface and merging with one of the night kingdoms, khaenriah beneath sumeru desert....not sure about fontane as it has primordial water under neath..but that maybe the reason why it is on a raised platform and leyline network is beneath primordial water reserve....if we think in computer terms..night kingdoms are kind of like recycle bin which holds the info before getting deleted...so souls of people after they die and before they become energy in leylines....
Perhaps this is just a wild speculation but I wonder if it's possible that the Abyss itself is actually the remains of Dragon King Nibelung, pinned underneath Teyvat by the Primordial One and being used as the source material to create the Human Realm. It doesn't fit very nice with the previously established lore of Teyvat having a Light Realm, a Void Realm, and a Human Realm, and dragons being from the Light Realm, but I was thinking about it because in Norse Mythology you've got that dragon trapped under a world tree, both Dragons and the Abyss hate Celestia, and Dragons have attempted using the Abyss against the Heavenly Principles only for it to blow up in their faces. That last bit makes me think of our little saurian buddy and how he has the ancient dragon's power that will eventually become too much for him to bear, perhaps that is what happened with Dragons and the Abyss. Trying to grab their former king's power to use against the Heavenly Principles, only for it to overpower them. A quick thought I had to maybe tie this together: The Abyss is *the result* of trapping Nibelung inside the Void Realm, instead of merely being synonymous with the Void Realm. He was the ultimate creature of the Light Realm, and the Primordial One defeats him by trapping him in an endless darkness, but this has the unintended consequence of creating The Abyss. The Abyss being the results of the Dragon King's anger and resentment tainting what was otherwise a totally neutral void.

I love how the “descriptions” of objects often have nothing to do with the item itself and are just an out-of-the-fake-sky obscure piece of very important information that no one is ever going to understand

An interesting thing I thought of is just like how the tree has 11 spots with one hidden, the fatui harbingers also has 11 positions with one still hidden when Snezhnaya is being released next year. I wonder if there is a connection between these two, especially since they plan on burning down Irminsul and maybe plant a new Tree of life.
i feel like maybe they aren't Night Kingdoms per say, more so things similar in nature. or maybe below the mainland of Teyvat, it's all a similar space, just disconnected due to physical barriers? haven't finished the video yet though!
I highly recommend you read the king in yellow. A lot of it's narrative construction reminds me of genshin- especially the fact that the summer events are like a microchasm of what is to occur later in the storyline. However, 5.0 was our summer event, more or less.
Idk a lot if what you spoke of reminds me of the king in yellow's storytelling manner, but it's one of those books you have to reread a few times to fully understand.
