Ass cool as black powder cannon are they have a high failure rate, and are hard to clear making them very dangerous when they fail to fire. I knew a kid/ young adult who was part of the crew who would fire one at a scout camp during ceremonies. It was only blank firing mind you but something went wrong and it didn't fire during a ceremony. They left it alone until everyone else had gone about their business, and tried to clear it. It exploded injuring the entire crew and the guy I knew fatally. Overall it was a shock as that guy made many friends and most who went through the camp had fond memories of him.

When large repairs were needed on the ship a while ago, the Navy used Live Oak timber from the Florida Panhandle. We were doing construction there at the time and, unfortunately, had to remove some monsterous 400 year old trees. While we tried very hard to avoid cutting as many of those as possible (preserved a vast majority of them), it felt good that the wood from the ones we cut was at least going to a good cause.

So we should have been looking at a blank screen then? Do you want to edit the video next time? I actually like seeing some old footage even if it’s not from 1797. Oh wait, you could get a 1988 DeLorean and turn it into a time machine, and then go back in time. No wait, you would have to go forward in time to turn it into a flying car. Then go back in time, no way you would have to also install a Mr. fusion fusion drive in the future. Then, go back in time and take aerial photography of it in 1797. Then you would have to find the guy that posted this video, meet his editor and give him the film. Go ahead and fix it please.

I'll be honest, either I forgot she was the oldest naval vessel in the world or I didn't know altogether. I still vividly remember visiting her as a toddler, which really wasn't that long ago. I'm proud to say that I live nearby so that I can see her in the harbor whenever I'm driving past. Long live the Constitution. Glad to see a video on her after all this time. :)
