Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) authorising post-graduate practitioners of Ayurveda to perform general surgical procedures.
The IMA condemns the notification by the CCIM, a statutory body under the AYUSH Ministry, authorising post-graduate practitioners in specified streams of Ayurveda to be trained to perform surgical procedures such as excisions of benign tumours, amputation of gangrene, nasal and cataract surgeries, the statement said.

Bro in kerala mixopathy is not allowing.. Even pcm cant prescribe. It be criminal act according to kerala medical council... And punished by heavy fine and imprisonment.. In kerala bams dr have no Right to practice allopathy and surgery... But in government ayurveda college there be allopathy dr the can practice allopathic procedure..
Actually thats is the main reason heavy unemployment happening in kerala.. Salary is very pathetic less than 5 kto 10 k... Even after md /ms the vacancy also very less...

Why pcm is not prescribed All OTC medicines freely available and any practitioner can prescribe,

& Don't spread this misconceptions, increase your knowledge in your field, & if you have any fear then don't spread it to others, increase your knowledge in the field of ayurveda, if you have studied, Make yourself confident in your subjective, Practical & theoretical ones...If you have cleared & correct knowledge then no one can do penalties or punishments or whatever you hear, or read...
