Victor Vasarely Inspired Animation | Psychedelic Hypnotic Background/Screensaver [1 Hour, 4K]

This one was inspired by revisiting works recently by the amazing Victor Vasarely, and the Op-Art movement broadly - in this case, I've been attempting to create something similar within TouchDesigner and putting it in to motion. I've always been a fan of his use of color and repetitive geometric forms that create something that feels distinctly luminescent and surreal - so used it as a starting point for creating something here. Definitely still scratching the surface though - it's certainly not nearly as sophisticated as the source material! Hah.
In this particular instance it was a case of animating some circles, then procedurally placing them within a displaced, 3 dimensional polygonal object. The animation was created by then slitscanning the scene, using a radial gradient - causing a slow, pulsing effect where the forms are perpetually growing and shrinking from the center.
