For real. So happy he’s still here. He found the Lord and made amends with his enemies. I’m sure he still has his temptations and struggles with his demons, but it’s a real miracle that he decided to fight.

Not gonna lie that was a beast line up. One of the most underrated. The rude awakening DVD was tight as hell.

It's pretty cool that Dave named his son after a Metallica album and his daughter after Metallica's record label.

Without Dave's contributions to Metallica there would be no Metallica.

@@stickfigure9138 I don't agree - James' riffs are just as good or better than Dave's and Lars is a master arranger.

I'm not saying James riffs aren't good. I'm saying maybe Dave showed him the route to take. Gave James inspiration. I love both bands, but there is something about megadeths technique and song writing that puts them above the other boys. So what if he can't keep a band together. He can say he's played with some of the best in the business. Also all of those cats brought their own style into the band that has made Megadeth even better.

@@hinjurock70Wrong. Dave Mustaine is a game changer to the thrash metal scene. His riffs are too technical even the big four knows that. So James better than Dave? On vocals yes, but on riffs Dave is far beyond.

Technical doesn't equal good or heavy. Tony Iommi has written some of the greatest heavy riffs of all time and many are very simple.

Marty Friedman is all over the place when it comes to his opinion on heavy metal and thrash. Also did he or did he not leave because one of his solos was replaced without his knowledge?

Dave "testing" AL meant he really wanted him in the Band.
