This is a video that illustrates perfectly the difference between a makeup lover and a true artist. It is almost not about makeup at all, but more about painting. Truly fascinating.
I always love that Lisa never talks badly about trends and popular makeup styles and is always prepared to take inspiration from them. So many people really patronise people for enjoying things that are in style.
I was thinking the exact opposite, actually! I think this look really ages her. I think Lisa has nailed it, as always, though. The look is beautifully done because it looks so real--- and maybe that is what is bugging me about it. Some skin tones are meant to freckle; other's aren't. I don't think Lisa would freckle naturally so there is that struggle between real and real-like that doesn't convince me. I think it made her look tired and drained (even though she looked sun-kissed). See what I mean? There it is again that real vs real-like thing! 😀
@@adrianacantisani I dont think so, I've seen quite a few darker skinned people with freckles... my cousin is one of those, freckles are not a pasty white people thing, go google it... I see so many olive girls with freckles. And I disagree that it aged her, she looks very young and fresh to me.
@@MissHardmode I agree, it's not about skin colour-- dark skinned and light skinned get freckles but not everybody gets freckles... it just seemed to me that on Lisa, while extremely natural looking (the technique) it looked unnatural on HER... but it's just my opinion.
The blush and eyeshadow remind me a lot of the 'mask' my disease produces as a tell before an attack. And, strangely, most of my freckles are round dots. (I'm a 'pasty' person of color, by the way, and in Europe I do not 'tan' easily.)
From a broken-hearted meet-up w the ex to a first day back in public from quarantine, there has been a Lisa video for every occasion in my life. Thank you for these years of beauty! You’re always my first search and quickest click! 🥰
I love this blush look - I do version of this all the time. I have rosacea and I prefer to work with it than try to cover it completely. I pick a beige pink blush and go in a c shape and then across my nose and it just livens up my super pale skin and blends in my rosacea.
Same here! I tend to just blend blush into the rosacea but mostly just apply it in areas where I don’t have it. So the current blush trend is really fun because I just have to add the very tops of my cheeks and my nose, because the other areas are already rosy!
I grew up in Paris and to me, this is such a Parisienne look. That’s all I wore from high school to the end of University. Sometimes I would add a flick of dark brown or pewter on my lids and sometimes just a red lip. Easy peasy ! Lisa, you look fabulous! Love it!
I have been watching (you) Lisa for many, many years. These videos have always been very soothing to me; her voice and the white noises in between the brief moments of silence I have found to be oddly therapeutic, serene and always makes me feel at peace. 💜
Still coming in to the warmer months for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere, Lisa! So I feel like this video is perfect timing for me 🤩 Beautiful as always ❤️
I'm watching this in awe. Lisa definitely has the best techniques I've seen on UA-cam. I love watching her paint on the blush, the bronzer and the frecles little by little.
The absolute perfect ‘I got a little sunburn today on the beach & now it’s evening’ look!!! I’m going to have to practice recreating this!! It is my favorite look especially because I am so pale that I never tan so this is much more realistic on me. I usually use a red blush but I’m excited to try this layered way. Gorgeous Lisa, as always thanks!!
Your old tutorial for individual lashes(i use Ardell) made it so much easier to appy them(thank you👍)So yes, id very much like a Lashify tuto. Looking forward to it!
This is such a heavenly makeup look! It feels perfect for the transition of seasons - still sunkissed from summer but you’ve been out for a walk in a brisk autumn breeze ☀️ 🍂
I love that blush over the nose look for this late summer/early autumn season. It just looks so fresh. The freckles look super cute. I really want to try this look. Thank you for the tutorial 💚
I like to do a look like this with a red toned bronzer and blush because I’m very pale and naturally burn and come out in freckles so it’s the most realistic summer look for me.
I love how you explained working with your natural colours at the end of the video. It completely makes sense and makes me think about I can apply colours to "smoosh" them together for a more effortless look. Thanl you!
Yes please to a tutorial of the lashify lashes. The brand ‘kiss’ have brought out a similar concept , called falsarca. So it would be great to hear your opinion on those too , Lisa. if you could please compare . The kiss ones are a fraction of the price too. Thank you
I love how Lisa talks up the products that aren’t her own the most. You can tell she uses the products she loves and knows are good including her own and is not just trying to sell a whole lot of products. She is so beautiful inside and out and so refreshing on UA-cam! Such a class act. Thanks you Lisa! ❤️
I was so excited when you said you had Lashify lashes on - I've been so tempted to try them since they were advertised to me last year but thought they looked too good to be true! But your lashes look incredible and so natural, I would absolutely love to see how you apply them! This look is so beautiful as always.
You really are a true artist. I find your makeup so refreshing, in our world with contoured, highlighted, heavy, bold makeup looks. I’m so bored of seeing makeup that floods Instagram and TikTok. Even when you do heavier looks, they always look natural, which is real skill.
“Hey-Ho”…☺️ Would love a video on Lashify, I‘ve just learned about them and would love to hear your take! ❤️ P.S.- this might just be my favorite of your makeup look tutorials… ‘natural/just got back from vacation’ is by far my go-to favorite, and this…😍 Thank you!
Its really good. I ordered for me for $100 promotion and got them last week. I used them over long weekend getaway and it made my life easy and eyes good looking
Hi Lisa, I'm 52 now I have natural freckles on my nose and few across my cheeks, great tutorial so thank you throughly enjoyed it. I learnt alot from yourself, Abbey Bliss White and Wayne Goss, just love learning about different techniques, skincare and various makeup products, as I'm fairly new to makeup. I have recently tried Kosas concealer great coverage Lisa. Take Care, Stay Safe. Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo 😘 💖 💕
So delicated and impecable make up look. Thanks, Lisa, for sharing with us your fantastic work. And using no expansive products and brands. You are an inspiration for me. Regards from Brazil.
This is just the most beautiful look, completely shows Lisa’s skill as a makeup artist, my take away is laying and two tones for the freckles off to give it a go 😍
I never would’ve thought to hear the phrase “e-girl” come out of Lisa Eldridge’s mouth 😆 beautiful as always, and can’t wait to try out some of these techniques!
I absolutely love this look. Lisa is an artist, what she does with makeup is art. I will try to imitate this look for a special dinner I have, I'm not good at makeup but I will do my best.
I love this look, I do it myself almost every day. My freckles have disappeared over the years, so I paint them on. 🖌 I think it looks youthful and charming. I particularly like to wear freckles with more striking lips with hardly any make-up on the eyes or, conversely, with stronger, coloured eye make-up and nude lips.
Once again, I cannot describe enough how grateful I am for your videos, Lisa. Hope you enjoy filming them as much as we do watching them. I find them quite therapeutic too, which shows how much I do love them. I’ve always done a few freckles here and there around my forehead and cheek/nose area and I love the way they make my face look warmer as well without using any bronzer yet. It’s nice to see we are incorporating elements which used to be covered up before with lots of base products, embracing what we have, which doesn’t have to be labelled as ‘imperfections on the skin’. Thank you, Lisa. You’re beautiful both inside and out and I can’t wait for more :)
In love with how much I learn in every video! You should make this an instagram filter 🥺🥺 because that was litteral painting (and I mean it in the best way, the blending, the layers the intertwinement of colours )!
Lisa your tutorials are the only ones I will sit through no matter how long and be attentive because im actually learning something that I know will use
I couldn't take my eyes off your lashes right from the start of th me video! I'd be very interested in seeing a video where you apply the Lashify lashes! 💕
I am so grateful for your influence and artistry! I have learnt so much throughout the years with you, and you are truly my biggest makeup and beauty inspiration. It is a joy to watch you work and spread the knowledge you have, on products, technique and your particular view of what beauty should really be about. Thank you!
Dear Lisa, I am from Italy and I am a huge fan of you. I learned so much from you, in many ways. Coud it be possible, that you do a video of the best professional skin treatments for preventing aging. Like Microneedling, Hydro facials, Radiofrequenze, Jet Peel, Chemical Peels ect....Like, how do they work and who are the best treatments for best results. In my opinion this woud be very interessting.
What an absolutely stunningly beautiful look! Only Lisa could make this look so effortless because I know for sure when I try this ( and I will) Im going to make a complete dogs dinner of it, but hey ho, we try. Take care and stay safe all xx
What? Painting on freckles!!?? Well whatever next🤣🤣🤣( I'm a natural redhead, who spent half my life trying to cover them up) Natural aging has made me appreciate the youthfulness of them now, at 49.Love your work Lisa, so authentic and calm, and absolutely LOVED the make up through the ages programme😍🙏
Ever since I know about freckles I've always wanted them. I have not one single spot or freckle on my body. You always want what you don't have I guess...
This was so interesting ... and certainly the best tutorial about applying the freckle look I have ever seen, by far. Yes, I'd love to see a video about Lashify!
Lisaaaaa it’s always a pleasure to watch you make ridiculous makeup trends more achievable and wearable. Your version of doing these is always the best! ❤️
I remember years ago when you posted the bronze look on different skin tones, still one of my favorite! You can make any look so elegantly beautiful! The lashes look great on you, so natural and in synergy with the whole look. by the way I have the same spot on my cheek, also touched it although premature.. the side effect on the mask wearing.
Hi Lisa, first, I’d NEVER think you’d lost it. You create beautiful looks and are an amazing artist. I’d love to see how you use the Lashify lashes. I have deep set eyes and have never been able to get the hang of lashes. I’m thinking the Lashify ones might be easier to use? Lastly, I absolutely love your look. You are channeling summer!
Oh my God this was so beautiful, Lisa. Everything looks SO real! This is some of my favorite makeup techniques and looks to do. Hyper-natural makeup, imo, will always look so much more beautiful than doing a full beat full face. And I love the look of the bronzer around the eyes. It, sort-of morphs with the light and when you move. Like a highlighty contoured effect. Its almost messy in a way but looks great. And those lashes are LITERALLY perfect. Its exactly the way I would like my lashes to look like all the time. I've been considering trying out lash extensions just for fun, and I'm absolutely showing the technician this video!
Yes, please, I would love to see a Lashify tutorial. There are so many different types of Lashify lashes (length, thickness, etc.) it's very difficult to know which is the right combination. And they're not cheap, so making a good decision based on your guidance would be perfect.
Just so in time! Was having a pretty depressing day, all day, and finally, getting to relax with Ms Lisa's therapeutic voice. I'm sure tomorrow will be another day, & I'm going to try this & feel pretty.
I love seeing your makeup techniques, but just watching/listening to you is so calming and relaxing. The look is very summery and fresh. See you next time 👏👏👏🤗🤗❤❤❤
This is art. And. Being a freckle person I laugh at how the trend was to heavily cover all freckles for a flat canvas which I’ve never done. Would love to see you work with a model with lots of real freckles and doing on them without hiding the freckles at all.
I love freckles! I've never covered on a model, I have my freckles policy. :) I genrally use a light base, blending the foundation with an illuminating or hydrating cream, just for making the base more uniform. Once I did the makeup on a beautiful model, she had such a lovely face full of freckles that I just highlitght them with a strobe cream and a blush, no foundation at all. So natural, so gorgeous!
I just found your channel through another UA-camr and I love what I see. So calming and beautiful to look at. I also like that the video is barely cut. That way it’s much easier to learn new techniques.
I spent my teens trying to hide and cover up my freckles (a losing battle for this Aussie Girl!) Now in my early 40s it's become a trend and people actually fake them! I love makeup and how things change.
Please, for your next Q&A, for how long can we keep makeup? For instance, I have two NARS blushes which are ages old and still good although the black containers are a bit sticky to the touch. Ought I to toss them?
LOVE it Lisa!! I would adore a tutorial on the Lashify as I'm still not convinced. And I am LOVING the ring you have on your middle finger/right hand, a GREEN DREAM!! XOX
Loving the look...need to give the nars tinted moisturizer a try for sure...on you it looks stunning, not sure how well my oily skin perform with it, fingers crossed
I love how Lisa isn’t pretentious about makeup trends.
This is a video that illustrates perfectly the difference between a makeup lover and a true artist. It is almost not about makeup at all, but more about painting. Truly fascinating.
Absolutely, it's like watching Michaelangelo of MUA at work !! Really beautiful and has such a natural sun-kissed look.. Love it xxx
That's exactly how I felt watching Lisa apply makeup. An artist painting. So relaxing
Couldn't agree more!!! 😍😍😍💜❤️
To be fair she's very much both, she reveres the history and tradition of makeup but also loves art techniques and color theory.
I always love that Lisa never talks badly about trends and popular makeup styles and is always prepared to take inspiration from them. So many people really patronise people for enjoying things that are in style.
Exactly! Things get popular sometimes because a lot of people genuinely love it 😊
This make up LITERALLY took years off an already beautiful and youthful face. It’s astonishing and I’m in love.
I was thinking the exact opposite, actually! I think this look really ages her. I think Lisa has nailed it, as always, though. Such a lovely think to say.
She really is the best!!!!!❤️
Well said Dylangirl!!!
Strange fact but is anyone else enjoying hearing Lisa’s rings rattle when she’s using the brushes? Don’t know that sound brings it all together..😌
I enjoy it too, always have lols
I like it too!
Someone else said this I want to say two years ago. Love the sound myself too
Best unintentional ASMR lol
Such a classic comment. There's at least one person commenting this on every single one of her videos. So you're not the only one!
Been watching Lisa since 2012-forever my favorite MUA!
😊 thank you xxxx

Lisa doing reviews of TikTok makeup trends and speaking on the history of them would be amazing!
Never hit the play button so fast. Such gorgeous, fresh makeup, Lisa!

"Backing singers for the main freckles." Love it. Another beautiful look Lisa! x
Not a look I am tempted to put on my face but I love seeing the artistry of how it comes together.

Loved the lashes! They looked so real I couldn't figure put at the beginning of the video what you had done!
This is the kind of makeup I LUV to see. The no-makeup makeup is my jam!
In love with how much I learn in every video! You should make this an instagram filter 🥺🥺 because that was litteral painting (and I mean it in the best way, the blending, the layers the intertwinement of colours )!
Is there anything that Lisa can’t do beautifully?!?!? I just love everything she does!
This look is stunning. I’m so intrigued by lip powders! Are they as drying as they sound, or is the texture different from what I’m imagining?
Lisa your tutorials are the only ones I will sit through no matter how long and be attentive because im actually learning something that I know will use

Dante’s dream turned out to be my favorite shade 🤎, it’s the one I use the most!
A “cloud of a lip” … and a master of art … beautiful!
P.S. Here in Italy we just had the Dante-Day (700 years)!
I adore this woman. Lisa, you are a gem.
This was the most satisfying makeup tutorial I’ve ever seen
So relaxing. She is a true artist with a beautiful canvas.

We're experiencing the beginning of autumn, but just the start, sunny days and cool nights.
Sooo beautiful. Very subtle, but stunning. ❤
I love seeing your makeup techniques, but just watching/listening to you is so calming and relaxing. The look is very summery and fresh. See you next time 👏👏👏🤗🤗❤❤❤

It's always a treat when you post a tutorial. This is such a fresh look. Yes please to a Lashify video!
Oh my gosh! You look like a teenager! Love this look. 💗
I love this kind of look it’s basically my every day look! And yes would love to see a Lashify tutorial I wanted to try it for so long
It does look totally natural and super flattering. Thanks!
One word- gorgeous! What a lovely tutorial. I was mesmerized watching you apply your freckles. Yes please to the lashify tutorial :)
Please, for your next Q&A, for how long can we keep makeup? For instance, I have two NARS blushes which are ages old and still good although the black containers are a bit sticky to the touch. Ought I to toss them?
I just realized I've been watching Lisa's videos for 11 years now! Wow i doesn't feel that long :))
This was so fun…..some lovely realistic makeup. You are such a talented artist Lisa 💖
This was so beautiful definitely one of my favourite videos you've ever done!
Really lovely. Thx for sharing your creative “painting” tips.❣️ I always have such fun testing them out on myself the next day! 🎨
So lovely and fresh looking! I really love the colors you chose and the placement is simply perfect for you.
LOVE it Lisa!! I would adore a tutorial on the Lashify as I'm still not convinced. And I am LOVING the ring you have on your middle finger/right hand, a GREEN DREAM!! XOX
The green colour in that ring suits your complexion and colouring so much ❤️
This is the most beautiful look ever. Stunning!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Loving the look...need to give the nars tinted moisturizer a try for sure...on you it looks stunning, not sure how well my oily skin perform with it, fingers crossed
I would like to see a Lashify tutorial. I did watch W. Goss, and he made it look easy, but I’ve never had success with lashes.
