@shneew super late comment since you wrote this two years ago, but there have been multiple covers. they've gone under different names but i was curious too and found MANY amazing songs because of this one. The original is by Tim Buckley (acoustic guitar, beautiful) if i remember its called Song to the Siren. This Mortal Coil covered it, i think in the 80's. then lost tribe did a rework called "Did i dream" and Paul Oakenfold did an AMAZING version (my fav) called Song to the Siren "Fable" remix

The original song is actually Song to the Siren by Tim Buckley, not This Mortal Coil. This mortal Coil did a cover of that song with the Cocteau Twins I think, but the vocals in this aren't from either version. They're similar to the This Mortal Coil version though, I may be wrong but the vocals definitely sound different on this.

is where the vocal is taken from as far as I'm aware, it may very well be even older than that but I'm not sure
