Thanks so much Adam. You're a real trooper fro sitting through my efforts. I tend to use my Garmin on days when battery use isn't an issue. On a sustained trail I use it in crap weather because it's weather proof. I used it on the rainy day in this video. When the weather is kinder, I tend to use OS Maps on my phone. Bigger screen and I can charge my phone with battery pack and solar charger. The Garmin eats 2 x AAs per day so it gets expensive on a longer trail.
Thanks Stuart. It was originally chosen as it was hard to find on this lonely moor. Much easier to find these days and a real piece of UK democratic history!!
I really enjoyed that David so thanks for filming and being so informative. I think a lot of people will tackle the trail if they watch your account as you’re making it look embarrassingly easy 🙌😉😊. ATB 🍻
Ah, thanks Dave. Pleased that you enjoyed the extra information relating to the Chartist movement. You'll be pleased to know that I do talk about fitness and my age in the next video. That should deter a number from thinking it's easy!
Great video. - a mix of weathers!! Looked lovely atop Pen Y Fan etc, shame about the burger van though!!! Looking forward to seeing unfamiliar scenery in the coming leg of your expedition 💪🏻
Gosh, when you decide to put your foot down, you don't mess about - blink and you,d have missed the beacons 😅. Even in inclement weather you managed some lovely footage Dave. Fish n Chips with curry sauce that's a Friday treat for me occasionally, love it. Hope the weather is good to you as you progress. Atb al
Ha ha!! When it's raining, windy and murky you can only walk!! I did enjoy the curry sauce, fair play!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment mate!
I definitely got the better weather on this section. So glad I got to see the tops. Really enjoying your local knowledge of the area and your account of the journey. Looking forward to seeing the next section.👍👍 My wife wants to know what make your waterproof jacket is and if it is any good !
Thanks so much. I knew I'd be able to add a little local info on the southern section and glad you enjoyed the bits I added. Yes, having watched your video of same section, you definitely had the better weather. My time is coming though as you'll see in North Wales! The coat is a Rohan Helix. Yes, it has been very good, but once I washed it and despite re proofing it, it's never been the same as it was when it came out of the shop. Great in a day of light rain, anything heavy and sustained and it leaks on shoulders and upper arms sadly.
Unlucky with the weather, definitely makes things more trying. It does look a great route so far. I've done most of it in sections as I've wandered around, but from now on it'll be all new to me I think.
Yes, it was a walk of 2 halves. Over the Central Beacons I was lucky, the Fforest Fawr was grim and thankfully the Black Mountain was just wind. Thanks for following my series!!
Excellent, enjoying the local knowledge and historical information in your videos! 👍🍺
Thanks Snowy. I'm pleased that you liked the extra information that I provided. Thanks for watching and commenting again!
Great video Dave. Really enjoyed all your insights and looking forward to the next one.

Love the video Dave. I can't believe I've never visited the Chartist Cave. I'll add this to my bucket list. Keep up with the motivational videos!!!

I was really disappointed not to get my breakfast roll!! In lovely terrain now although tough underfoot!

By the way are are you still using your Garmin handheld for navigation or have you moved on to something else?
I answer this in the reply to your other kind comments!!
