Thanks so much for having the Nerdy Neurologist on! I did not know she wrote a book. I will definitely check it out.
Hi Dr and all.. I ended up getting the baclofen pump installed because my spasticity got so bad. I work 12hr shifts on nights... since the pump was installed on March 2nd to today the spasticity is gone. But I'm in pt now trying to relearn how to walk and keep my balance. And now I'm following your words and vids in here and tik tok... hoping and praying for recovery
I'm glad to hear that the baclofen pump has been such a help for you! ☺️
That was so wonderful!
❤❤❤
Does it look identical in cerebral Palsy or not really?
My foot points down and inwards when I walk, also feel like my knee isn’t fully bending.
I can’t control it!
Does this sound like spasticity?
Thank you.
Spasticity typically feels like tightness or inability to move due to tight muscles rather than weakness. It's hard to say if you're experiencing spasticity since I can't actually feel your muscles, but pointing down and inwards could either be spasticity or weakness depending on the cause.
The best way to get a more definite answer would be to go see an in-person physical therapist that can help.
