    When fitting new belts in the tape decks for this model, it's a good idea to replace the REW/FF tyres as well as the pinch rollers and take-up idlers. A total of 13 rubber parts are needed (including the counter belt). You should only have to do this once. I believe these are still available as a complete kit. 😎 I did it recently with my GF-575E along with the usual routine service. These boomboxes were not cheap back in 1983/84, and fully working, are now collector's items. 👍👍

      @@RoughJustice2k18 Your comment is quite valid. However, I've not seen the complete sets. Probably it's necessary to select some elements individually. Belts and pinch rollers are usually changed.

      @@VieslavKubusz You are correct - these parts are separate kits but available. I only replaced the small tyres in mine because both decks struggled to rewind tape and FF-cue didn't work. They now rewind and fast forward sweetly no matter what position the tape is in. I did see you change the pinch rollers and belts as well as a couple of trim pots - maybe your REW/FF tyres are OK. Nice work. ☺👍
