Tall grass just winds up around the engine shaft above the cutting disc and clogs it. No easy way to remove it from there. Leads to overheating and error messages in the app. Cut the grass before first use and then have Yuka mow regularly so it never has to cut much. It just can't handle cutting tall grass like a regular mower.
All robot mowers I've seen say to cut the grass to 60mm or below before using. I however like to push things to the limit. I cut longer grass and even cabbage tree leaves, which get wrapped around everything, but never really had the problem you speak of. But certainly, they are not made for long grass but rather continued lawn maintenance.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Oh I have mowed long grass outside the task area and experienced it... others have too. Remove the cutting disc and take a look what got wound up in there. It really gives friction and slows down the blades at some point. "Do at your own risk."-reviews
Cheers for the review. I saw someone else had issues with the yuka leaving gaps of uncut grass. I know you showed a bit that wasn't cut because the mower had flattened it, but did you notice any gaps left in the grass when you had it doing the bigger area?
Interesting video. My question is because I live on a hillside can these units go from one terraced section of lawm to another terraced section. Currently i have 7 different areas all at different heights and levels

I've emailed them about 2 weeks ago inquiring about their warranty and repair services, and I've yet to hear anything from them. I was really planning to buy one from them but have decided not to since they seem to not even have a warranty or repair service at all. A shame because it looks really cool and I really wanted one.
@@r0000g I agree that it is a very promising product! And I too really want them to work out. Unfortunately, it seems the product and, more importantly, the company is not ready for a broad use base. Id wait to see if they can get it together before purchasing.
Dude, even though i subscribed and have the notifications on, nothing pops up when you upload. Just with your channel. Maybe Makita could provide you their new robot mower? Its quite expensive, like the Husqvarna. And would be cool if you could skip the music.

Got one. Works perfectly on my 4700 sq ft lawn. Lawn never looked better.
hey mate whats it like on soft ground thanks
Seems it would be decent for a residential lawn.
Just curious, how would you handle it if you had a fenced in back yard?
Seems really quiet while mowing, interesting :)
Yeah, you can barely tell it's mowing.

I just wondering you’re demonstration MAKITA RM350 mower robot😊

You can program them to go between sections, provided there are no steps or other obstacles.

What is it doing (or not doing)?
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Power/battery-system failures. Appears to be wide-spread among at least the LUBA2 line

Have you tried unsubscribing and resubbing with notifications on? YT does stuff like this all the time unfortunately.

I enjoy mowing the lawn. Never going to buy one. Just commenting to help out the channel.
