What a true crafter! Not afraid to show her mistakes and not afraid to try and fix them either!! I love watching you craft!
Such a sweet and polite voice to listen to
That's what I love about you, when someone asks you to share, you always do. It's also good to see the little mishaps, an unedited video. We can learn from them. TYFS, Donna, in California.
Thanks for showing this “how to”! So many possibilities for organizing stamps & dies as well as ephemera and all those giblets of paper!!!
Many thanks for sharing your thoughts and creations with us xx ❤ 😂
I didn’t realize I could saying my sewing machine for my envelopes. Thank you so much!
Just what I need, thank you
Hi, E, nice to see you today, hope you’ve had a great day!🥰 You’re so funny!😁 I enjoy watching you so much!
Yay!!! This is exactly what I needed to make pouches for budgeting. Thanks Edith.
Edith take a couple pieces of copy paper, put a napkin between it, then run through the laminator, it will remove the wrinkles, then put it in a laminating sheet and laminate as usual.
Thank you for this wonderful idea. I am going to make them for my dies and stamps to help keep them organized in photo boxes. 👍🏻👍🏻
I love how those came out! I’m not ready to invest in a laminator just yet, but it’s a also great idea to make them out of card stock or a file folder to store ephemera!
As you have a 12” laminator you could turn any wrinkled sheets around to landscape before you put it through again
Yes, that’s what I was thinking as I watched.
I never new you could do this. Thanks for sharing. I did subscribe and turned on notifications. Hi from Lutz, Florida USA
I love these laminated pouches. I have the same snap setting tool kit and really appreciate seeing how to use it. Thanks for another great video.
Soooo cute and useful! I'll make one for couponing too.
😮 What a coincidence! I made some of these just over the weekend in order to keep all the left-over ephemera that I had from making Xmas cards! I made mine with the flap on the short side so they look more like slime line envelopes. 😊
Ah ha! Very clever!
Nice job. They look like they would be good storage envelopes. I always like the see-through containers.
Fantastic idea!
It’s all GOOD trial n error we all need to make it right!😇
I love the simplicity of these pouches. So much you can use them for. Best part you can see through them to see exactly what you have. Be safe & TYFS
I love these. Thank you. I ordered myself a laminator and snap sets. I think I will enjoy both.
I made one with a napkin and it came out beautiful.
Nice little pouches
E6000 will hold these really well.
Also, if you don't care that the inside isn't laminated, you can put your two inserts (paper, cardstock, vellum, whatever lol) back to back inside the laminating pouch and run it through. When it comes out, cut them apart along the edges, and just peel them apart. Does that make sense? Having two layers of paper inside- or vellum or whatever - causes the insert to stick to the laminating pouch but not to each other. As long as you cut into whatever the insert is on the edge, they should come apart easily.
You now have two pieces instead of one and you doubled your money's worth. 😊
Also, because the inside isn't laminated, you have more options as to what to seal them with. Regular glues or even strong double stick tapes work fine.
If you find that it's hard to fold them, you can always score the vellum or paper before putting it in the laminating pouch. Run it through your machine and then score again on that same line and they should fold easily.
Yes Velcro works great too
These is a great idea thank you for sharing. Love the napkins I can’t never find beautiful napkins!!!
Such cute little pouches that you can put any of your ephemera in by category. They would also be easy to label and maybe file in alphabetical order. Thanks E, hugs🌺💝🌸
These are so cute, clever & useful. I definitely want a snap setter kit! Oh, and a laminator. haha
OMG’oodness! This is awesome. So many possibilities. The organizing you can do with your ephemera. Thank you so much for the tutorial and links to the products.
simple, yet with great possibilities and ever so useful! thank you❣️
Love these
Love your happy voice🥰
Another way to close the ends is by doing the Japanese binding stitch. I have been doing a lot of journals in that stitch. Those snaps are amazing. I bet I have a million of them. I used to make pacifier straps. I love them. B
Wow....I have to do this for little presents and so on, thank you so much and hugs from Austria....Rita
Thank you so much for this! I have this kit and will have to make some of these pouches.
I have the snap tool, now I have to make some. Thank you for doing this video..
The clear or nearly clear pouches will be so useful! TFS!
You could also use Velcro as a closure if you don’t have a snap setter.
This is a great idea and a money saving idea as well. Do you think the self lamenting pouches would work just as well?
Glue tip: I've been using "Reptile Glue" for over a year now. It is the only wet glue I own. I am a mixed-media artist and this stuff works on everything, paper, fabric, metal, glass, plastic, and so on. This is a white glue that dries clear with a very fast grab that I get on Amazon. I found this through another YT mixed-media artist. Donna, in California.
That glue is the best. Must have been discovered by crafting community because the price has doubled since I bought my first bottle a short time ago.
Great idea 💡 thank you
Love this! I think Velco dots would work too
That's what I was thinking too as I don't have the snap tool set. An eyelet with seam binding would work too. I have made Tim Holtz ones that way.
@@maryvaszi8742 I have those tiny 3mm eyelets, I use them to anchor down a little ¾" circle (reinforced × 3) on each flap, resulting in a faux inter-office envelope.
When I'm good, I remember to anchor my embroidery string inside the hole before the eyelets goes inside, then set it with my crop-odile.
ˢᶦᵍʰ
After all that work, I think velcro is better.
Thank you for sharing this idea, twice since the first didn't record. I'll be making some of these pouches!
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!!
Cute pockets❤️❤️❤️
I saw someone use a flat iron to flatten the warping like happened on the napkin one. She had a flat iron just for her crafts.
I’m so excited to pull out my laminator....it will be happy to come out of retirement. Lol.
Can't wait to try these! Thanks for sharing!
I love this idea! I have been making a few smaller ones out of heavy plastic and using velcro dots for closures. I like how colourful the plastic snaps are so will have to invest in some of those. Thanks for sharing this, E!
I LOVE this idea. Can’t wait to try this. Keep the good ideas coming.
Thank you! Such a cute, easy project!
These will be great for the larger ephemera. Ty , I love this idea. Xxx
You just saved me $$$$$, especially when it comes to stamp storage. What a wonderful idea and it's customizable to our individual needs!!! I liked, subbed, and thank you!!!! 🙏🏼😘🤗
Thank you so much.
As always you are such an inspiration
Great idea! Just what I needed. Will be making these tomorrow.
This is brilliant! I am so glad you made this video. ❤️
Love this idea thank you for showing us x
These are awesome! Miss you! ♥️♥️
This is so easy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for showing how to make them.
These are so great. We can use them for our own storage plus use them to hold extra ephemera for journals. I discovered I could use clear contact paper to cover paper on each . side of the paper for fake laminating.
Awesome idea!!
Great idea. Thank you for the inspiration. Blessings and Hugs 🤗
Great! I’ll be making a ton of these!,
Pretty cool!
Thank you so much...I just found a few laminating sheets someone gave me so I will have to try this.
This is a great tutorial!
Yes it snowed like the north pole here didn't it LOL💞😊
You can use a mini iron to get the wrinkles out from a laminated piece.
Ms E these pouches are a great idea. Try the Bearly Art glue to seal the sides it should work be sure to hold it for a bit to contact.
Reptile glue is tacky, sticky enough. It says it will glue plastics. This glue is recommended by Posh Paper Lady.
👍🏼Thanks for the tutorial. Do you sew them with zigzag or straight stitch?
Feed it through on its side might work. ☺🌻
Hi Edith... I love this idea but don’t have a laminator at this time. Do you think there might be another way of making ephemera pouches using another material? Could you perhaps do a video to show something like that ? Thank you... Love your videos! It is snowing very heavily up here in southern Alberta, Canada!
I think you could use vinyl that you can buy by the yard at a fabric store.
Cute
Maybe you can use a potato chip sealer
Do you use the amazon basic pouches, I found they pull apart from lamination when you fold them, ruined some traveler note book covers and credit card wallet inserts for them???
No I don’t use those.
Have you tried score tape for closing the sides?
I haven’t tried it in these but I bet it would work.
Would a thin piece of fabric laminate well?
I think it would I have never tried it.
if it's a 12x12, and your paper is 8-1/2x12, why not turn it and run it through that way?
You can do that if you want. Thanks for watching and commenting
I was this days old when I figured out that you’ve been saying this is E....all this time I thought you were saying Eve.🤦♀️
