Great video Ian, will definitely keep an eye out for those paw patrol plush and those Steven king 1st editions. Some people can be so cheeky on the postage. Thanks for sharing 👍
No worries guys and thanks for watching/commenting
Good finds, Ian 👍👍👍
Cheers mike
Hi Ian, I've been watching a few reseller videos and I'm new to the game. Must say loving your content and keep it coming. Thank you!
Welcome to the game Adam... its a good one!!
Thank you for another amazing video. I work 3 days a week and look after my boys the other days. Started watching videos like yours, went to the car boot in July with 60 quid d have now done a grand in sales since. I honestly attribute a massive amount of it down to you, started picking up trainers after your videos and a MOP classic,my first trackmaster bundle 😂. I would never of thought if those things before your videos so thank you Ian. A proud Welshman too so awesome to see you and Connor representing us so brilliantly. Loving the new Solds graphics aswll. Quality as always 👌🏼
Thansk for the kind message Joe and glad to hear you're doing well at it too!!! Keep ot going mate
The Masterpiece game. How very partisan!!
Meant to be!!
Awesome stuff, that lightsaber and masterpiece board game are good to know!
Got to beat me too them first tho Ry ;)
Hi great video pal enjoy it pal
Cheers kevin
Nice one , love the Unicron on the shelf , never seen one before 👍
Yeah it's cool. Got the all black one too :)
Some great find! 🔥
Cheers :)
Nice finds Ian, those Timberlands should do well coming into Autumn. Don't worry, I'm sure far too many of us have heard that "pricing strategy", on numerous occasions! Next time it happens I might politely refer them to the sold listings section and say that's your best bet...but it's still a cheeky way of pricing things regardless!
I think we forget that we've been doing this a while so difference between solds and active is obvious
.... some still don't know how to check solds
Customers have to remember what p&p stands for Postage AND Packaging
Too right ratty
That Penny was a steal
Bargain that one. Don't come across them often
Ian you seem to do OK at charity shops I just get stuff for myself nowadays. That lightsabre is so cook. Thank you for the content. Cheers Pete TMT 🐒
Yeha having some luck in them at the moment. Cheers pete
Another top video Ian !!. I tend to just stick to the Royal Mail prices. But each to their own I guess.
Everyone's got their own way of doing it. Whatever works for you is key
I bought a brand new etch a sketch last Christmas from Walmart in Florida for $13 😀 I'm with you on postage, I now charge £4.50 for Royal Mail small parcel as the cost in time and materials easily racks up.
3.30 minutes the blue lamp they sel if they work for around 10 to 15 pounds. People are working from home any they are always needing lamps.
Oh sweet..Will keep an eye out
Wow, I never knew ebay charges 15% ish postage, thanks for that info. Feel bad i never knew. Another great video.
Yep... stops people charging 1p for item price and loads for postage yo avoid fees
Nice transformers finds Ian! Those minicons from armada are getting harder to find and more expensive for sure! Love the collection! Prime Arcee is such a beaut too. Picked up the new one a few weeks back and the original is better 😁
Always love finding the small ones in the wild. I love the prime arcee. Really intuitive transformation and the robot mode looks Class. Well proportioned bike mode too
Morning Ian - books - a few books about 3 as a bundle will go £2.98 for up to a kilo via Evri which have loads of drop off shops - I use them for everything - so the 50p book could go in a bundle like my Stephen kings are going
Ian you don’t have to justify your postage costs. What you charge covers only second signed for small parcel and that’s it. I charge more than you and track everything. If people don’t like it they can take it up with Royal mail haha 😂 great video as always
Cheers Julie. Yeah if I say in the listing its 2nd Class that's what your getting!!
Another great video! Don't skip on books though I've sold alot especially horror film novelizations if you ever find them that is (abit rare in the charity shops these days) can be worth a good profit though
I could spend ages just sifting through all the titles!! Once a I get few good sellers in the bank I could look for other titles
Love a bit of vetch - did a 50p into £7 plus post this week on an item from Sunday
Very hit or miss mind. Got to be the right vtech
Some of my old stock has moved recently too…. Some of it I’ve had to cancel as it’s been binned or sold at a boot!
How wierds that. I need to go through all my old listings and just get rid of them
Your collection seems to be growing each week😃Do you have any rules on what to keep or sell?
Absolutely no rules 😂😂😂. Most fun bit about reselling for me :)
Great Video as ever pal, them Nike SB Golf did you pick them up? They go for over £1k on Stock X.
Just looked them up on ebay... no solds but someone's asking £450 for a pair.... oooosh
Your postage fee is fair, also have to take into account packaging costs which are increasing. I don't mind people asking to upgrade postage type before buying but it really annoys me when they ask after buying and say they need it quicker. sometimes they don't even offer to pay for first class. Why don't people look at postage type and dispatch time before buying.
Yeah same. Its just the principle of always wanting more than what they've paid for
Ian, the master of postage 🤣
Bloody time wasters!!!!
😂😂😂 nothing worse
Where to was the charity shop that had the half price sale? Great finds!
Pontyclun
Yay I'm first.....excellent video .....
Yyassss Colin #winner 🏆
Baby cotton candy vintage my little pony was in the basket where the moana stuff was
Ahhh missed that one
Hey Ian,
Quick one for you if I can pick you ‘card selling’ brain.
I picked up ‘breaking bad’ top trumps today. New and sealed.
I was going to lob them on eBay, but then noticed that the individual cards sell for a lot. Do you think it’s worth breaking out and getting them graded?
Thanks,
Nigel
Risk vs reward. Top trumps are very difficult to get a good grade on tho. Centring is iffy, edges are usually folded back. How much would a sealed set sell compared to a grade card? Is it worth the risk?
Cheers Ian. I might just put them up as brand new, sealed.
PS, I bought the Merlin in your latest video lol. Fully working and just as good as I remember it when I was young lol!
Postage drama is one reason I do "free" postage. I mean they're still paying for it but it cuts out one angle of argument.
Yeha I get you. I like to know postage is covered when I'm doing offers.
16:35 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
I was doing great on book bundles over the lockdown, but my sales have pretty much tanked since then.
Same with me on jigsaws. Booming during lockdown but the prices have dropped dramatically now so I dont tend to bother with them
@@MasterofPieces do book bundles not sell any more as James from boldfinds does really well with his
Lol,I looked at buying that light saber, but I'm to much of a cheap ass
😂😂😂😂 love this
I wanted to try selling books. when I check coms most people are selling it with free postage. postage is around £3-5 and sold are around maybe £10-15. is it still profitable? or much better to add postage?
Got to do what you need to do to get the profit ur after balancing up how long it'll hang around not sellinh
Peter James books sell well,
Did you pick up the Harry Potter books?? The one I listed the other week sold for £50.. I picked up a bundle on Friday and out of the five books I've got three listed for a combined £370 😁
Didn't get them in the end Guy. £20 was the reduced price. Sounds like there would still be some money there but the shop was a state and would have taken about half hour just to get to the window display ahaha
@@MasterofPieces Yeah, £20 for the set is a bit high.. I paid 50p each for the ones I just picked up and I certainly wouldn't hang around waiting for them to dig them out of the window. 👍
I got x1 hardback book x4 paperback books all new for from my local charity shops £5.50 worth over £50.00 my local hospice charity shop gets new books donated
Power rangers and transformers, marvel things.
Think you've got the postage prices via Ebay all wrong mate. It's beneficial to buy postage direct via ebay.
I take them down the post office and pay over the counter. More expensive then buying through ebay
@@MasterofPieces Plus you don't have to faff around with uploading any tracking. Got to admit, and just being honest, your postage is high. I charge £3.35 for 2nd class postage and more often than not send it first class for £3.95 (losing 60p), it's good for feedback and on time rates.
Great pick ups and amazing profit on the sales
Gutted you didn't pick that friends up my wife would of love to have that to her collection. If you see it again send me a message we do a deal mate
Great video and keep up with the amazing work
Ahhh I'll see if it's there next time!!
Are you struggling for sales this month? It's been terrible for me!
Sales have been OK tbh GN
People don’t care about what it costs in packaging etc your better off reducing the postage and slightly increasing the item price as your accepting offers anyway. I get your thought process but people will always go for cheaper postage.
I send/accept a lot of offers so like to know my postage is covered. I think the key is the total cost I.e. item cost plus postage
are you still taking the tablets for the transformers addiction? 😀
😂😂 the addiction is real!!
I keep getting dicked on postage to Belfast (Evri) it’s dearercthan RM but more convenient
Northern Ireland is sloooowwwww with rm
Never thought about charging a bit more for postage to cover the fees. I might trial upping mine to £3.50 from £2.99 and see if it affects sales 👍🏻
I charge 3.99 and put other so depending on the size and stuff and the price I can pick what is best
hi, your videos are so helpful!! have you ever made any where you touch on how you do taxes (eg sole trader ot ltd) alingside your normal job? I have just started out and I am so confused about it all
I haven't tbh. I'm no expert in that at all. I've an accountant that does my tax return every year
why do you buy your postage in the shop it cost more you should buy online save so much more £2.85 online for 2nd class small parcel
I dont have a printer to print labels. Historically I haven't really sold enough the justify getting one. Now I'm on 4/5 sales per day.... might be time to consider it :)
Sometimes if you buy postage online eg through eBay, there is an option to print in store if you tick the box?
@@MasterofPieces I know it does not sound much but you could be saving like 50-60 a month
@@MasterofPieces 4 labels on one sheet of paper so it’s £2 saved minus the paper and printer costs. 7x a week is £14. Printer is paid for in a month. No brainer
