    If you want to get the most out of your FX30 a Cinema Rig like this will help you in your quest. I broke down my rig and built it back up so you could go out and build your own rig. Rig shooting is so much fun because you have so much control of your frame. Let me know if you decided to build a similar rig and if you have any questions. I’ll do my best to get back to you.

    • @chandlergranbury
      @chandlergranbury Рік тому

      @@thefilmalliance Thanks for the response! The one you recommended has a connection that only works with Smallrig cages due to two aluminum bumps next to the screw (designed to prevent it from slipping). I'd recommend the Smallrig Cold Shoe Top Handle (3764). It's practically the same one you recommended but with a connection that fits the Tilta Cage.
      Also, I would highly recommend getting a right angle usb-a to usb-c cable to connect the power suppply to the camera. The D-tap cord puts a lot of pressure on ordinary usb cables which risks destroying the port on the power supply or the cable. Getting a right angle cable is definitely worth mitigating the risk of losing power during a shoot. You can find these on Amazon for less than ten bucks.
      I watched a lot of camera rig suggestions for the FX-30, and this is the one I went with. Its a really solid setup and works great besides for these two minor issues I had. I'd definitely recommend it to any other filmmakers considering this camera. Thanks for the video.
