A lot better for what though? From my experience, a well looked after TDM850 4TX will hustle very briskly down twisty roads when the urgency dial is turned up, and more swiftly for the same effort than a Transalp of the same age. However, the Tranny has it in the comfort department and in the 'you can ride at motorway speeds for hours without your eardrums bleeding from the noise caused by buffeting and turbulence' stakes!☺️ Both underrated bikes.
High speed playback on 1:05.

A team 850 isn't lumpy and you would be hard pressed to tell it from a 4 cylinder bike

he plainly said it has been 15 years since he rode anything with Knobblies.
The old ish TDM have corrosion problems and the gears can also be a problem with bikes over 40k or so. The Honda Transalp is a lot better.
