Here's my rank *1. Leviathan:* Yep, that's right, I actually prefer Leviathan to Crack the Skye, the main reason is that Leviathan has arguably some of the greatest riffs I have ever listened in metal, Hearts Alive is tied with the Czar as my favorite Mastodon songs, the concept is amazing, this is pretty much a flawless album for me *2. Crack the Skye:* I mean if it wasn't number one, it was still in the top, just like Leviathan, this album is flawless and every song has it's own charm and they just got better every single time I listen to it, the Only reason why it isn't at #1 is because I love Leviathan so much *3. The Hunter:* Yep that's right, the Hunter is at #3, personally I don't understand the hate at all, listening to it and it's kind of similar to Crack the Skye (minus the prog elements), honestly if Crack the Skye is Mastodon's Master of Puppets, The Hunter is their Black album, and since I also love the Black album, i'm completely okay with this one *4. Remission:* I listened to this one after Leviathan and since I loved the former I also became really obsessed with this one, love the sludgy and raw sound of it, the Only thing that doesn't really stand compared to the rest it's that is not as consistent as the other ones *5. Blood Mountain:* So this is an akward one by how low it is, but I still love this album, I love how this album sums the transition from Leviathan to Crack the Skye, I guess the Only reason why it isn't higher it's because the second half of the album is not as strong with me as the rest, but still a killer album *6. Emperor of Sand:* At first I thought this was their weaker album, but re listening to it, it just keeps getting better, even if at times I feel this album tries to be The Hunter 2.0, but since I like the latter, I don't feel nothing wrong with it *7. Once More Round the Sun:* the Only problem I had with this one is that it starts in a high note but gets weaker, although Ember City and Halloween are bangers, but the first half overshadows the second one by a long margin *8. Hushed and Grim:* i'm trying to get into this one and I really want to get into it, but so far is not really holding up well, specially with how amazingly long the album is, even then I wouldn't call it terrible, just a weird album
My Ranking: 8. Once More 'Round the Sun 7. The Hunter 6. Hushed and Grim 5. Emperor of Sand 4. Remission 3. Blood Mountain 2. Crack the Skye 1. Leviathan
