I have sooo much growing in my gravel ! It’s thriving ! I never used it but had a comment on my video telling me to use that on my bug bites … it’s ridiculous how many bite my hands and through my shoes !!! I don’t like olive oils tho because it goes rancid over time but I love coconut oil in salves so I’m going to try to make it with that but I don’t like using wax so wondering if I could just infuse the coconut oil only with the dried leaves
I’ve never eaten plantain as a salad green. I have never made plantain ointment. I have only made a plantain poultice, and used it on bee or wasp stings. As soon as I feel the sting, I go to the plantain and pick a couple leaves for the poultice. To make the poultice, I put the leaves in my mouth and chew them up, without swallowing. The chewed up leaves mixed with saliva become the poultice. Then, I put the chewed up leaves, (poultice) on the sting. It’s helpful to have a band-aid available to hold the poultice in place. In a few minutes the sting is gone. That is all I know.
Very nice. The things you learn about what grows in your yard!
You got that right!

Oh yeah it could get done the way you say it. Bee wax only makes it more solid that's all. I prefer it that way.
Cool stuff
Thanks 😊

I used to do it the poultice way but I’d rather have it on hand for when I need it. Kids don’t really like having my saliva on their mosquito bites 😂
