- In today’s spoiler-free review, thanks to Cineworld Secret Screening 7, I got a chance to check out a little bit before it’s general release on August 25th 2023 the movie: Scrapper.
A little information on Scrapper:
Scrapper is a 2023 British comedy-drama film written and directed by Charlotte Regan in her feature debut. It is made by BBC Film and BFI in association with Great Point Media, and stars Harris Dickinson, Lola Campbell and Alin Uzun. The film premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for the World Cinema Dramatic Competition. It is scheduled to be released on 25 August 2023.

Seeing this one late .... I recall this being trailed a lot in my Cineworld, never went on general release. Maybe a secret screening only, which I rarely go to. I wake up at 5am for work, those secret screenings are just a no for me

Totally bummed I couldn't go to this one. Out of all the films it could have been it had to have been the one I was desperate to see.

Terrible score, the film was beautiful and very grounded. The simplicity of the story was emphasised by great performances. A very raw, emotional and relatable film that sent a huge message.

So I’ll repeat myself here, I did state this movie isn’t for everyone, including myself.
I compared it to a movie like, Aftersun which I could appreciate but wasn’t a huge fan of.
