Its not like hip hop unit (& Dino) doesn't need to rap but they could do both, to help vocal unit. Jiaen Kwon all of their vocals are really good but the vocal unit is mostly made of people who have a passion to sing and are extremely good at it whilst the other teams are made of people who like to dance. I.e the unit members are made of people who are very good at one thing and less good at the others
Jiaen Kwon Imo, the unit system is actually benefical for them to highlight their best side.. all or them have a capabilities of singing and dancing etc but if in a larger group having too many vocal can be quite problematic when you want to highlight a member (my poor WJSN in this case has too many sub-vocal).. plus, we can have unit song where they can have more parts in singing or rapping.. but (sadly) in the title track, the vocal unit sing, hihop unit rap, and performance unit dance (in the center when nobody have individual line).. but let's just hope for a fairer line distribution in the next album.. pardon my english.. :D

In the other hand, The8 and Jun are the only sub vocalist for Seventeen. Yes we all want them to shine. But for now they need to work on their vocal skills first. They get to sing on their unit songs. And I think that is their way to see if they're ready to sing more in title track. Trust me we'll get to see them shine in the future. Let's just wait for that day 😄

Whenever wonwoo sings, he sings in a lower pitch and kind of wraps up their slow songs nicely. I can't believe he just did that. As I've said before, Mingyu's singing voice is a blessing to mankind. You guys better appreciate this.
