This is an awesome step by step. I was dubious about removing my leaky engine until I watched this vid. You have made it very clear about what needs to be done and it is very much appreciated. A manual is good, but seeing the process visually is a big help and assists with my thought process. Thank you very much mate.
God bless guys like you. Even though I won't be undertaking any such task soon, its good to know that someone took the time to share such information. Thank you very much! #MuchRespect
thanks for the video. It was very well explained. I need to my engine. you should have posted the video after you started the new engine. once again thanks for sharing the video.
Brilliant video. Are you are professional mechanic? Also, you did not have to raise the car on jacks to work under the car since it is 4wd? Amazing job.
Hey mate was wondering there's a negative wire down by the passenger side engine mount was wondering where that goes looks like it goes on engine mount but not exactly sure.
The front oil seal can be done after removing the the front crank pully, this is normally done on a 100'000km timing belt change. As far as I know the rear oil seal would be behind the clutch plate. So it's a big job
Anyone know what's a good cleaning agent to remove cooling system fluid stains from exterior surfaces of the engine ? For example where there's been a small leakage and it's spattered onto other nearby components ? I don't want to use degreaser and have to hose down the engine. I'd rather use a rag soaked in the cleaning agent.
8 hours in and I'm down to a stubborn power steering pulley, the clutch slave cylinder and a bunch of wires before getting into the meat of actually removing the engine. I'm working in the HiAce though (same engine obviously) and the space constraint is why is taking some time, otherwise, this really would be a couple of hours

Excellent video. Thank you. How is the injection pump driven?
The injection pump is driven off of the camshaft belt. (Timing belt.)

Would you argue this is easier than dropping the box for a rear main?
I prefer this way, I don't have a vehicle lift

How did you go?
Stuck on the top two Bellhousing Bolts. They are a PITA to get to. Any suggestions as to the tools to use?
So long since I made this I don't recall, maybe I used the universal joint on the socket
Thank you for sharing.
do you have to remove the crankshaft to replace the seal? cant you do it by removing the oilpan?
