I have a beardie… rule of thumb, if the shed is still soft like it is in the video, do not remove it. If u must help them, wait until the shed is harder and it won’t hurt them. If the skin is being removed while still soft, it can still be attached to skin that’s not dead which will hurt them
Exactly that looks like it would hurt it looks moist like a un healed scalp on a human would be that’s the same pain they feel I’m sure it sure looks the same
Exactly!!!! Once it’s hard and crunchy, take it off! This shed was removed too early, ik that had to of hurt.
That makes it more harder to get off soft shed is easier to get off then hard shed
I love your blog and I have a
@@briannawalker5032 it may be easier, but it’s not better for the reptile. That means it’s not ready, so you would end up hurting your baby because if the “convenience”.
I have a bearded dragon and people who also do know this. Only remove it if they are having trouble with it. Never take it off if it doesn’t easily come off, for it could damage the fresh new skin under it. This is cruel to ur beardies so please don’t do this at home 😊
Rule of thumb, if it is hard u can take it off, if it is soft Don’t 😊
If it is hard feel free to take it off, both for asthetic reasons and it makes them happier, they can get itchy so taking off the shed helps them like you more, however if you take it off too early it can make them upset, and if they start looking uncomfortable always stop
You can clearly see your hurting him, you can clearly see you’re causing him pain. Never, absolutely never do this.
The poster is correct. The animal in this video is not ready for its shed to be removed. The result is compared to a 3rd degree burn
Don’t do this!!! This hurts them a lot! Just give him/her a bath and the shed will come off naturally!
It looks fine and not in pain
@@dragerdet
" *Looks* "
Don't do either. Dragons are DRY shedders. Do not bathe them when shedding. It can trap moisture under the shed and create fungal infections. You also don't need to help them shed. Provide lots of rough surfaces in their enclosure and they will get it off when it's ready to come off. Dragons with proper husbandry do not need assistance shedding
@@tonyafuson3165 Sometimes you can give a breaded dragon a bath but sometimes it will give them infections like you said but also sometimes they can’t finish shedding by themselves
Face shed assistant is a must I’ve seen many animals rub there faces raw in their enclosures and even rub there noses damn near off if it was hurting the dragon it wouldn’t be letting her do it
Don't do that. You shouldn't take it off. Give them a bath. It comes off naturally.
It must be hurting him
Yea you should give it a bath
But No it doesn't hurt him
It hurts if it's not already practically falling off. If you have to *pull*, then it hurts them
@@amber4068 не думаю мертвая кожа это как после загара кожа слазит когда отрываешь мертвую кожу не больно же
@@ImZonedOut1 no it’s not it will come off naturally you should never peel it it can damage their skin if it’s not ready to come off. And unless it’s flaking off it not ready
Je suis d accord
You're not supposed to help them
We always wait I'll our beardie's shed is more firm and hardened. We rarely every help him unless he just can't get it off. He's a little derpy tho and his depth perception is off so sometimes he needs a lil assistance
His depth perception isn’t off , all bearded dragons have poor depth perception
You shouldnt remove it
This is like continously peeling off a scab or blister before the skin underneath has formed. Dont do it.
A bearded dragon cannot competently peel all of its skin off and it’s ok for humans to do.
If he moves, it means that you're taking it off to soon, that you're hurting him or just that he doesn't trust you enough for that
Taking his moult too early can cause several skin problems
Remember, his skin grow under it
No, no. This one's turning to let them get at the itchy part. Beardies can absolutely resist. Jumped right into their hand with no biting, just the face of contentment. You'd squirm too if you were having that much itch being dealt with
So kjivivdig skekagame
Lil man got a skin bandanna
That shed was not ready
He got a little bandana for a minute😂
As cute as it is that he wants to hold her hand, I'm pretty sure some of that isn't supposed to come off yet
Here before the “Omg the nails, slay! Period. 💅 “ girls. 😂
Don't do this, I see comments saying " It only hurts if its not ready "
*Cough*
*Cough*
Ahem, You should only help them with areas around the toes, Eyes, ears and nostrils.
Beardies and many other lizards do this process on their own.
If you pull it off like this the shed can hurt the beardie and sometimes it might not be ready.
So what to do if ur lizard or snake is *Shedding?*
Well first get a container or something big enough for ur reptile.
Then fill it up with warm water not enough to hurt it though.
Do not fill the water above ur reptiles legs.
Once you do that place ur reptile inside and soak their body then leave them for a couple of minutes.
The water will loosen the shed, Then you can put them back in their enclosure,
Make sure they have something to rub the shed off like a piece of bark or rock.
If a piece js stuck around areas like the eyes ears toes and nostrils you can gently remove.
Oh and!
I remember being young and i had a leopard gecko, A beautiful black one,
It was jn the shedding process.
I watched videos and people said to peel it off.
Note the gecko had only just started to shed.
I began to tug at its loose skin i did this for awhile intill I flipped the poor thing and pulled the shed on its belly i ended up peeling off some of its not so development skin, It tore off and it started bleeding.
I screamed and my mother brought the gecko to a vet.
Don't worry the lizard was fine it was only alittle piece of skin tore off and it was stitched back, But this is what happens when people spread misinformation.!
Bearded Dragons are the cutest creatures on Earth. I adore these little babies so much! I love every one of them I see.
I have a friend who offered me a bearded dragon but im afraid they are really hard to take care of. Had a ferret when i was young and she was awesome.
When it was hanging around his neck, it looked like a scarf...
그가 아팠다면 도망쳤겠지 얌전히 잘 있구만 뭐가 그리 걱정인가?
For the record, it doesnt hurt them at all, they just look hurt because the old skin was like a thin warm coat, so the body temperature change makes them think they are in a cold area and need to bask.
It’s painful to do that to a dragon 😢😖”next time give your beardie warm bath to help skin that is already starting to come off, and you could very gently brush their scales in circular motions to help dislodge the loosened skin”.
They probably already did that
Doesn't look like a struggler. The shed probably got stuck.
Don't do that. It hurts them. They do it on there own
It only hurts them if it isn't finished. It's pretty obviously a finished shed since it comes off in one big piece. Sometimes they even hurt themselves trying to remove face shed. Maybe this dragon has history of bonking his face on his container when he tries to shed?
@@yogurtofthemultiverse2200 I saw in one of the other videos that a female hurt he face trying to get it off with a stick so helping with the face if the skin is clearly already off is I think fine and in fact helpful. Plus it didn’t fuss that much it only moved a bit
I keep reptiles. For bearded dragons this was definitely not done as well as it could have been. The face needed help because the skin was already crisp but they pulled on the body too which likely did hurt. Hope this helps, if you have a bearded dragon only pull of the skin is crisp and dry otherwise leave it a little while longer 👍
If they struggle give them a warm bath
The nose got me
The Dragon: 👀😐🤨
She’s moving because it hurts. You need to let them shed on their own unless it gets stuck
Little fellow just sitting there. He looks like it feels good.
it doesn't. this is actually harmful
he’s like “u just saved me a week of rubbing up against shit, thank you”😂😂😂😂😂😂
So crunchy sometimes!
Why? They do it on their own naturally. My grandson’s, Gizzmoh, would gift him with pieces of it when he would take him out of his habitat for a walk.
Sometimes they have trouble or end up hurting themselves while attempting to remove face shed specifically. Also, sometimes you just wanna give your lizard boi a gentle peelin
@@yogurtofthemultiverse2200 Yes that is true but the shed is not dry and does more damage than help.
You can't film it yourself, it goes away by itself, it's written in any source about leaving
I understand that bearded dragons may need a little bit of help but it should not be that hard to pull off. Obviously the bearded dragons flinching meaning it’s in Pain. The pain of pulling off a bearded dragon shed that isn’t ready to come off as the equivalent of peeling a human skin off. Do not do that.
This stressed me out
0:20 aww the little paw/claws on your hand 🥺
Развлечение древних Русов...Ощипывание ящеров
*The bearded dragon : yo the pizza here!!! *her : waaaaaiiittt
I could never find this relaxing as a saw a lizard once shed and then eat his dead skin. nature is wild
Ouch ouch ouch. He definitely tried to tell you it hurts😢
DO NOT PULL OFF THERE SHED IT WILL IRRITATE THEM AND YOU SHOULD JUST LET IT COME OFF NATURALLY
If the lizard was hurting I'm sure she'd know about it guys cmon 😂
She really wouldn’t, I’ve kept dragons for a while (including rescues as of recently) the dragons eyes dilated and it even hopped in discomfort. Not to mention pealing fresh shed on a bearded dragon can often cause scales to fall off or sting. Hope this helps
I was told to never do this EVER
I keep seeing all these videos where people are removing shed. What happened to the rule of thumb where you don't unless necessary?
More like background noise asmr 😂😂😂
I have a bearded dragon as well I always at least peel the noise so she can breed
You absolutely never remove shed like that. Please people never do like in this video. You either leave it be, or bath them in warm water, or damp warm rag. Never do like in this video, it hurts them and can cause issues.
That one’s almost my size of my bearded dragon
You’re supposed to let it do that itself
Don't know about dragons, but I LOVE the fingernail design!
These comments do not pass the vibe check 😬
She stopped exactly where she should've, not ever getting too close to where it wasn't ready to peel. She only took off what was already separated which DOES NOT HURT THEM. Everything about this is fine, she did it safely, the beardie was calm and even helped her pull it off at certain points
Beardie shed is so easy to read. That jawline piece and the neck was all still moist. You can hear crunches from flaky dead shed, and that wasn't crunching.
Vibe check, bro get your eyes checked.
it couldn't have wanted to get the shed skin off fast enough.
Theres not a thought behind those eyes
i'd really only help him with the nose and eyes eyreything else i'd leave alone and just give him baths
"Yes...peel me, Mother."
This little guy? Is soo freaking adorable
Did you steal my bearded dragon because mine looks just like but more yellow 🤣
r/oddlyfascinating
It’s literally like pulling your Own skin off imagine how that would feel not good
I love this animals sooo much❤
I think my parents would be more sus about me buying a makeup brush lol
His dragon doesn't trust him since it's moving closer to him 😂
its not the fact that her beardie doesn't trust her, its that you are not supposed to be ripping shed off of them in general. it's like peeling off someone's peeling sunburn and could cause a lot of discomfort. it's captioned that it is safe to come off, but the shed is soft. usually it turns hard and dry when it is ready to come off, and at that point all you need is a warm bath and a toothbrush to assist the shed.
А если с тебя кожу сдирать??
I love it how most of these shed videos the lizards are like 😊, but this bro said 👹🖕
This is what happens when people baby animals too much. Let him shed on his own. WTF?
Ouch. Shouldn’t be removing shed that early. Should only be helping with “stuck shed” that shed isn’t stuck, it’s still soft and moist. Meaning it isn’t stuck yet.
But content comes before care right?
Forbidden chicharrón
You're not supposed to peel it off!
This is so satisfying i wana get my self one of these bad boys the shed it all day for relax chin chil
Too soon! Its not ready! The skin and scales underneath are still sensative
I dont think its supposed to go like that, when their skin is done shedding it should flake right off
Not cuddly AND you have to peel dead epithetical cells off it too? What a effing bargain!
Oh my god this is NOT "safe to come off" its still soft and wet!! You are literally hurting your beardie, please stop doing this 😢
It’s bad to take their shed off bc it can damage there scales, and spikes! Just don’t use them for views like that.
My 5 year old daughter is obsessed with these now. I’m sure I have to get her one. I’ve never had one. Can I go to a pet store to let her be around one? Will they let her touch it? I don’t just want to buy everything and have her not be into it once it’s in the house.
Stoppp it is probably harts
I have a beardie, you shouldn't pull off the shed. If you have to pull it like that, it's not ready to come off and can be painful for the beardie! Try soaking them in a warm bath and gently rubbing the shed and it will come off naturally.
Çok güzel bende birşeyleri soymayı ćok seviyorum
راحة نفسية 😌🍄
Why do I keep on getting bearded dragon videos. I keep on crying because I used to have one.
Down vote a few that have a huge number of likes. That way it won't make a difference a you start getting fewer of these recommended
Only help doing the nose normally or if theyre having trouble shedding
Yall. STOP hating On This video. This channel is not the original creator who released this-
New reptile owners/kids will see this and think it’s safe, doesn’t matter if this is original or not
What is this crap??? You’re not supposed to be pulling that shed off.. this isn’t right and DO NOT do this to your bearded dragon. They will rub it off and it will fall off by itself. This could hurt your dragon.
Me after sunburning my back
Nice scarf! 😂😅😂
Just leave it alone...
Dont do that ! It will fall of eventually .. only if the nose is blocked you can take it away. You can hirt his skin and make little wounds when you pull it off!
Új ruhája lesz a kis szépségnek! ❤
You do not sheD bearded dragons like this it comes off naturally
I'm just giving advice don't peel of your bearded dragons dead skin because it might kill them or even leed to blood.
when they shed can the dead skin stay stuck? if so is it appropriate to then help
5+ Thanos is Right
So many veterinarians in the comments
I'm curious if they like this help or are annoyed by it?? Their color is so vibrant after they peel
Satisfying+ gross = bearded, dragon shedding
Last bearded dragon video i watched people were telling someone to peel the shed off- now this one people are saying not to? Which one do i listen to!
IT HURT THEM PLS. If the are struggling to shed give them a bath but pls 🙏 don't pick skin.
Do all reptiles shed?
I love these little ones!
Oooo who's a handsome boy!? You are!
Your not meant to just take the shed off, put the poor beared dragon in water, pulling of stuck bits as in around the nose or eyes is fine, just dont take it off, you could hut the bearded dragon
Looks painful 😢
All those tiny holes I think i'm gonna be sick
