That's the idea. They made hunters AI behave like that. One on one they're dangerous and will use all the resources they have, but in pairs or groups they'll use team tactics: One will try to suppress you and pepper you with fire while the other will try to flank you with a shotgun or a submachine gun, some even will wait with a rifle until you leave your cover and then shoot, etc
@@juangallego7197 what also impressed me was that the AI used for Hunters was used in legendary difficulty (in division 1 at least) which also showed the power level on both sides with 4 players at full power pve gear against an army of them. The fact that if you had a dedicated medic made the encounters night and day in alot of scenarios.

@@ThatOneSniper The nemesis would be good if you can fully charge and hit headshots but it probs takes like 50 shots to kill a hunter as they have the same amount of armour plates as an original player thanks to Ubisoft thinking they were to easy to kill in the first division, my advise is to have a friend help as they can attack the hunter up front and u sit far back making every shot count, that way the hunter can't focus on 1 person. The second the hunter is close to losing or has lost his shield you push cause without a doubt that hunter will go into cover and try and put more on.
@@mrtopbot4004 if you have a good build you can one shot. I think on heroic solo they have around 40-50 million health/armor. Get headhunter then hit a headshots/crit and thats almost a guaranteed kill

You're ready to extract and face anything that comes your way... Or at least you thought you were. You head to the street extraction zone and hit up a flare, it glows in the sky. You check your ammo and look around for some good cover. This car seems right. As you run towards it you notice something strange... A pulsing beat... Like your heart. Then you turn and see a shadow slip by some cover, it must be a Rogue you think, right when you try to use your ability something jams ISAC's systems, your vision blurs a bit and the computer fluctuates. Something is going on, but you still got your gun. You see the shadow move again and quickly open fire from behind the car. You miss as it's too quick. You reload and Chuck a grenade the old fashion way of flushing them out and open fire when it comes out. It rolls and jumps over to original cover and you hear a loud CLICK noise go off. Then rolling. A seeker mine goes off in front if the vehicle and blocks your view with flying debris, but you see your foe jump toward at you. Opening fire they duck down and shoot back rapidly, your heart beats with the pulsing, and both in sync go faster. Vision is blurry and abilities barred from availability... You can barely think straight, the shadow is flanking in your right! No, on your left! What's going on?! You discharge your weapon wildly in different directions only to have a bomb go off near you, the shadow charges in and you put a few rounds in it for good measure then retreat. The chopper is getting closer but it seems the signal is bad due to the storm still, you've got to hold. You hear a medkit be used, this rogue must be trying to- A gun shoots you from your left side and does a pounding, popping a medkit and running while suppressing fire towards your next cover leaves you shocked at the speed they flanked you at. Your heart beats faster with the rhythm, you're almost there, fiftheen seconds out... It comes closer, you turn the corner tossing a grenade again and using a High end LMG to pin it to the ground with bullets. With speed of lightning it rolls forward and pulls its gun on you and discharges, rounds go into your stomach and the pain is nearly unbearable. You pop another Medkit and try to tussle a quick round with it but to no avail as a sticky bomb exploded your vest off leaving you on the ground to get up, then 5 more rounds hit your chest. You can't stand, it hurts so much... You fall to the ground and try to hold the bleeding and crawl to cover, Your Vision blurry and the beat slowing down with your dying heart as blood and oxygen can't reach it... All of a sudden you're on your back and shirt being held up to gaze into a face... No... A mask... Only eyeholes show, you see two angry eyes, eyes of terror striking fear into you, your heart beats fast as you scramble, you see on the figure's vest are several agent watches... Orange... Red.... Black.... You're thrown to the ground and in an instant feel nothing as you see a axe lodged into your chest. You lose consciousness from blood loss..... After what seemed like eternity you wake up Your blood and another agent standing over you, he grabs your arm and carries you to the landed chopper... You gaze back and see a body laying. It's the one who killed you. You catch their hateful eyes one last time before the helicopter lifts and you're being treated with emergancy medical materials. *Mission Complete.* Btw, this ain’t mine, just wanted to repost on other videos involving the Hunters. Give credit to the guy named Bob Charlie, I’m sure he was the one who wrote this. Brilliant piece of writing.
The division survival was the real DZ. you would team up with randoms to defeat those hunters or even runaway and left other random players like cowards because how terrifying they are. Best game mode in this franchise 💯
They really should have leaned into this for the DZ to be honest. Unite players against a common foe in the DZ (Hunters turned up to 11), and only gave them the option to go Rogue at the extraction point. Instead it turned into a sort of weird, immersion-breaking random emoting Deathmatch mess filled with bizarrely customized hackers who can one-shot you halfway across the map. If there was a separate mode for those players who liked that, have at it! But it's really just a drag for me who prefers to be a Lone Wolf instead of getting into that mess. And TBH they should have absolutely had Server Browsers and allowed people to host their own. I mean once they decide to pull the plug, it's pretty much gone.

be glad only rikers came when fighting high lvl enemies i had a boss to kill lets say about every group was there had rikers and their boss had cleaners rioters and i think some LMB and there was just me and a few JTF guys in this 4 to 5 way fire fight on 1 whole street
Makes me wonder how they could’ve fumbled the bag so hard when they made content like this in the not so distant past compared to what we have in Division 2. I mean simply put the fact that it took 5 years to finally give us a proper Hunter mask and give us a full face ski mask instead of a lazy beanie or the Du-rag for the OG 12 masks is really depressing compared to how elaborate each of the three hunter masks were to get in Division 1 and how close they originally got it.
Ubisoft made a lot of bad decisions over the last 5 years especially in the development of The Division 2. Unfortunately, this franchise was misjudged by Ubisoft; they should have invested much more, but instead they completely miscalculated.
I love survivial..I have done this too...I think the most Ive done is 6 also...but I will never understand why people quit so fast...I am happy to revive others on PVE.

I wonder how many hours of Survival did you have when you made this video. I'm usually the slow and methodical player but the countdown keeps throwing me off my game and I always end up rushing to the dark zone and getting killed by veteran NPCs 😂
@@tomorih Still more than I have at this point. After that comment I managed to finish Survival and extract a few times. In Underground it's another story, I can be in a group and have 3 of them for breakfast, while the other two or three in the group are busy with just one, but no way I could handle all those hunters that way in Survival. Especially with blue (purple, with luck) gear/weapon, yet to end with a gold weapon. I managed to get both of the Hunter's mask which was my goal though. Still, I rather face a group of Hunters in the tunnels than here 🤣

I have 100s of confirmed hunter tally marks in both the first division and second, but the only time i felt fear is when i saw a div 2 hunter self revive and run at me
Many people agree to disagree about Division Hunters: In Div 1 they're smart backstabbers, they have a preference for ambush and nasty tactics, always coming to you when unexpected, but they're not that tough and as long as you know where they are you're practically safe In Div 2 they're tanking bullets like nobody else, they deal a lot of damage, they run into you faster than I rush B, but you'll never be surprised by them as they don't use strategies anymore
@@kajtekbezmajtek I also think the first hunters are the funniest, they can always surprise you and you will always feel great to win a fight vs one or several of them ^^ But it's all a matter of perspective really, you're free to appreciate both Division Hunters if you want it :)
Hunters are manageable if u play on laptop or desktop (not consoles because this game isnt made for consoles), its made to be played using mouse and keyboard. What this guy play is already right. To make sure hunters can only come on one side so u can manage them one by one. But i dont know if this is being played at consoles or pc because pc players wont miss so many shot using bolt action marksman rifle. Killing them using bolt action marksman rifle is easy (because of the high damage output and the headshot damage)
I do agree with the fact that things get a wee better when it comes to doing it on PC with a mouse and a keyboard, but I don't think doing it on console is worse than doing it on PC. I play on PC, too, but I use a Microsoft Gamepad so it's pretty much like playing it on console. I'm an old school gamer so I don't get used to playing games with a mouse and a keyboard. Gamepads and joysticks are my best friends in the gaming world.

@@pashaw8380 It is Survival mode; so no gear sets there. Some crafted purples and yellows at that point. The rifle is a crafted (yellow) M44 (not sure what variant you can craft in Division Survival anymore, that was a long time ago).
I play on xbox ran into 6 hunters due to other players getting killed buy there's was not fun yet a well placed stun grenade then sticky bomp then rollaballs and a shotgun
The hunters were great in division1, they felt like aggressive players that abused everything they could, from hacking to blowing you up. Division2 hunters were shit though.
Respectfully, I partially disagree Agent, while in Div 1 they were great, in the 1st years of Div 2 they were just as good if not more overwhelming only that you fought one at a time instead of multiples, as the story progressed then did they become somewhat less homicidal. Still I would not call the hunters in Div 2 shit I'd say the Division just got better with their builds. Respectfully, of course.

@@kajtekbezmajtek I also think the first hunters are the funniest, they can always surprise you and you will always feel great to win a fight vs one or several of them ^^
But it's all a matter of perspective really, you're free to appreciate both Division Hunters if you want it :)

Hunters are manageable if u play on laptop or desktop (not consoles because this game isnt made for consoles), its made to be played using mouse and keyboard. What this guy play is already right. To make sure hunters can only come on one side so u can manage them one by one. But i dont know if this is being played at consoles or pc because pc players wont miss so many shot using bolt action marksman rifle. Killing them using bolt action marksman rifle is easy (because of the high damage output and the headshot damage)
I play on PC and I'm old, hence the misses... Also I just started upgrading my gear, so the sniper was not one shot anyway.

I do agree with the fact that things get a wee better when it comes to doing it on PC with a mouse and a keyboard, but I don't think doing it on console is worse than doing it on PC. I play on PC, too, but I use a Microsoft Gamepad so it's pretty much like playing it on console. I'm an old school gamer so I don't get used to playing games with a mouse and a keyboard. Gamepads and joysticks are my best friends in the gaming world.

@@pashaw8380 It is Survival mode; so no gear sets there. Some crafted purples and yellows at that point. The rifle is a crafted (yellow) M44 (not sure what variant you can craft in Division Survival anymore, that was a long time ago).

I play on xbox ran into 6 hunters due to other players getting killed buy there's was not fun yet a well placed stun grenade then sticky bomp then rollaballs and a shotgun

They're like completely different games. That's what my friends and I think.
The hunters were great in division1, they felt like aggressive players that abused everything they could, from hacking to blowing you up.
Division2 hunters were shit though.
Respectfully, I partially disagree Agent, while in Div 1 they were great, in the 1st years of Div 2 they were just as good if not more overwhelming only that you fought one at a time instead of multiples, as the story progressed then did they become somewhat less homicidal. Still I would not call the hunters in Div 2 shit I'd say the Division just got better with their builds. Respectfully, of course.
