- There's one city in India that I think beats Agra and its iconic Taj Mahal. But which city is it?
This temple took 200 years to be carved out of the rock face and is much older than the Taj. It's an architectural masterpiece and one of the few places in the world where I felt awe and wonder.
This city has its own Taj Mahal. Shah Jahan built the Taj, and his grandson built this.
You can even savour the historic flavours of the Mughal Army's Naan Khaliya, which originates from this city.
After lunch, hike up this unbelievable mountain-top fort. This is simply one of the most magical cities in India.
Places listed in this video: Ellora Caves, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Naan Khaliya at Sagar, and Daulatabad Fort. The city is Aurangabad, now officially Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Sir in the first temple picture you were talking about Kailashanatha temple located in Ellora, which is in today's Maharashtra and built by Kannada Empire namely "Rashtrakutas" and this was built in 8th Century, this temple is truly an architectural marvel of India. And in the second picture you were talking about Bibi ka maqbara which exactly looks like Tajmahal and Located in Chatrapati Sambhaji nagar AKA (Aurangabad) , Maharashtra. I'm sooo Lucky that I have already visited both of these amazing beautiful places ❤

Bibi Ka Maqbara was built to look like the Taj, but they had to improvise a bit due to funding issues (some of the marble looking part is actually concrete). The city also has a lot of gates (it's the City of Gates) and was the capital of India for a few years under our very own Mad King. 😅

Oh!!! That's the Kailash temple!!! There are many mysteries around it. The biggest and the baddest one is that the stone it's carved out of is so hard, even modern steel tools don't last on them. Yet, it's estimated to be completed within 200 years with who knows what tools, and the stone carved out from it is nowhere to be found.

Karl.. you might also want to mention the Ajanta caves not very far from this city. I thought those carvings are equally remarkable as Ellora. When I visited a few years back, this city was called Aurangabad.
Now Rammandir in Ayodhya will surpass Taj or any tourist attraction.
