thing they quite like rap music. When i went to their gig they played mostly rap before the show started. Even some denzel curry which is always nice to hear
I honestly think it’s such a fresh sound, I don’t doubt that they’ll be massive simply cause of the attitude and the following I’ve seen at their live shows. Best crowd and band with their hearts in the music. They are not under rated anyone who’s heard them is highly impressed.
Sanjake was the first song I heard and I was tapping my foot and bobbing my head, and for next few songs afterwards. Then You're Scaring Me came on and I stopped dead in my tracks. What an eerie, sad, awesome spacey tune!
unreal release. emotion blows bummer out of the water, and i adore that album. i love that you guys are always pushing your sound into new directions, bravery to innovate like that is the mark of real artistry.
I remember when I was listening to the music my dad would put on in the car. I remember how back then it wasn't making judgments for how it sounded or how it was done, just learning. I was learning what music was and how it made me feel. These years, I usually have a predisposition to understanding the music - however mindless that may be. There is so much music out there that we take it for granted. To the point where we continuously listen to new songs and forget how they could truly affect our minds - not just make us feel in a profound way but make us remember, know, or set us up for progress. This EP took me back to a time when I wasn't just listening. I was learning. Thank you cleopatrick, Ian and Luke, for sharing your art with us. The noise you make pushes my capillaries to new limits. Hope to see you guys in concert soon.
I think i like the track DOOM the most. Such raw emotion, such raw vocals. Such a different side of this band i'm looking forward too being explored. Very good shit
i was kinda scared you guys would be taking a different route with your music cause of the different artwork, but i gotta say this is insane how good you guys are. never failing to deliver
Damn, this is a powerful statement. Exceptional music by the boys as always...But man, a whole EP dedicated directly to how much social media destroys, well, everything? I'm blown away. Very well done.
It’s so honest, all about the music, they’re using origami tools making it sound fresh. I am surprised as I didn’t think originality was possible anymore but Cleo would play this in their basement and be happy without us it seems.
Literally ever since I saw these guys last October at some tiny little venue here in Utah that looked like someone’s garage. I’ve been dying for some new music from the boys. I’ve been to a lot of rock festivals but their concert was the most raw and personal I’ve experienced, amazing stuff as always. So stoked ya’ll dropped some more amazing tunes 😌🎶
No se como los descubriste la primera vez en mi caso fue por recomendación de Spotify y un año entero no los paraba de escuchar, muy buen sonido y no solo eso, da frescura en cuanto a lo que se escucha actualmente.

This is a very surface level analysis, but I wanted to get this out. I think each song in this album is supposed to represent one of the five stages of grief. Here's my reasoning: ZUCK - Denial: the song is sort of what you'd expect from Cleo with their signature distortion, but the lyrics feel more defined and definitely have more sorrowful undertones. Lyrics like, "Ya I might have lost a part of me," followed in a later verse with "Ah but it's cool, yeah I think it's alright," definitely fits with the Denial of sadness and trying to cover it up. I believe the consistent references to social media and its synonymous relationship with 'facades' backs this up even more in my opinion. OK - Anger: This song arguably is the most alike to the bands previous works. This songs lyrics also contain some hard-hitters, such as, "And I know she could give a fuck about my feelings," and, "Jesus Christ please - Can’t you treat me nicely?" Not to mention the repetition of "Ok" throughout the song to evoke a "ok I get it, now fuck off," sort of message. SCARING ME (best song of the ep imo) - Bargaining: Although the lyrics don't explicitly say it, I think this song is about asking himself to stop bringing up his past. The lyrics mention, "Friends I've wronged - Reaped and sown," as well as much more vague lyrics like, "As the quantum foam betrays me," which make me think that he's alluding to certain psychedelics that are known for causing people to confront their own mistakes and their own mind. With this in mind, I like to think that the combination of distorted bass and the acoustic represent his mind in a fight with itself, the acoustics representing his sorrow and the bass representing the facade he wants to put up to protect himself. DOOM - Depression: Going back to my analysis of "SCARING ME," the acoustic guitar has taken over. The lyrics are very sorrowful, examples including, "Just wanted to know if there's a bottom or beginning to it all," and especially, "I'm doomed - I'm doomed." This is likely Cleo's darkest, yet most natural song, and it feels brutally real and honest. SERVERS SPEAK - Acceptance: This song has no lyrics to go off of, but I think it says a lot through the instrumentals alone. The tone for this one feels very bittersweet, especially after the song prior to it. The instrumentals glitch and try to recreate the reality before the EP even started. However, it can't. That reality is gone and the song has to accept that. Things will never go back to normal, and this new reality may feel scarred compared to the previous one. But there's nothing else to do besides accepting things for how they are. A truly harrowing yet beautiful way to end this EP. A lot of this may seem like a lot of me grasping at straws and overanalyzing, but I think a lot of the things I mentioned were deliberate in creating a rollercoaster of an EP. Thank you Cleopatrick for blessing us with yet another masterpiece!
I wouldn't believe that this interpretation was intentional. The music making process is often arduous enough that there isn't a lot of room for conceptualizing stuff like this. But I think it's a totally valid meaning you're getting out of it. Cool thing about great art like this is that there's often a lot more to it than the creator initially wants it to be.
the entire ep is about the internet and the control it has on you, and how over time you grow numb to it. ZUCK: this song is about the entire guy that made the idea of internet privacy being invaded famous "Yeah I might have lost a part of me while mindlessly acknowledging some shit about my privacy and marks updated policy" is a great example that mentions the overall theme of the song, which is about mark and his scandal with selling your info for about 11 dollars "but It's cool yeah I think it's alright, you can have it all you can take my files" OK: This song is a reference is the "OK" waiver that you click when you are done with reading terms and conditions. The idea is that we constantly do this, and technically giving up our freedom, and soon losing ourselves. The other part of this song relates to this idea of saying ok super often to things like this that aren't about terms and conditions, and how we choose to be complacent, and therefore lose ourselves "I know she can give a fuck about my feelings, but I'm just trying to get it where I fit in". SCARING ME: this song is about how our phones track what we say daily, and kind of also realting to the idea that we often say things that we don't mean, or we have thoughts and complaints that we keep to ourselves without thinking about what maybe people would think if these works came to the public. "I swear you always know where I am, somehow the things I say beneath my breath, when you're not there" is one that talks about both of those Ideas that are expressed in this song, "My sweet machine, in ionizing cold sweats and cosmic beams" this is the part of the song that affirms that idea where our phones record what we say, and how scary that idea of no privacy is. DOOM: this song is simply about doom scrolling which has become popular on Instagram and stuff like TikTok, and how we think it's all fun "If only i'd know you ain't my homie, not my buddy, ain't my bro", but it is actually a harmful Doom that awaits us, where we begin to never be able to escape from doing it over and over again "but oh, I did it again, go lost, searching for the end, it's in the palm of my hand, I'm doomed". SERVERS SPEAK: Literally nothing deep to it, It's just a closing to the ep just like how there is an interlude to an album, but if you wanna get technical, the name of the song can be interpreted as meaning the song that we are listening to the end is like the sound of a server machine. Overall I can see where you were coming from, but the aspect about the technology that affects us today you almost totally left out, and that is a critical piece of info that you have to know to understand this entire piece as a whole. Cleopatrick is just so awesome and I love them so much to be able to nerd out about what each and every one of their songs means, so that's why I type essays like this talking about them in detail.
Lowkey I feel like Luke used to spit bars in school like crazy, picked up a guitar and applied that rap formula to rock
Yes I love how the took the best from both worlds

соглашусь, иногда обидно, что из русскоязычных их почти не знает, человек 27 от силы.
