The bans would be another give and take for the overwatch community like role lock, but honestly I think it would be a net positive for ranked. Like if know one in a match wants to play with or against a mauga. That's on the players in the match to decide. If a genji or mercy or whatever decides no moira they can decide that. And as the players increase their understanding of the game through higher and higher ranks we can have better conversations the higher you go up in the ranks. Like low rank players will probably just ban Moira bastion and mauga consistently, but high rank players can ban key pieces to stronger comps to have some really creative metas. Less options forces more creativity. And honestly that guy that is swapping to mauga or orisa, is probably not WANTING to swap to mauga or orisa, that guy probably just remembers a time he wanted to play rein or ram or hog or whatever, and someone turned their brain off and went mauga to make his life harder. It's also just crazy I'm to me that games like league and paladins have had bans for years but overwatch refuses to do that.
