It often happens that stocks do not adapt in length to all bodies... but all hunters and shooters have the right to find that comfort that will help them be more accurate in their shooting.
Today we bring you a video from our technical manager in the USA explaining in 2 minutes how to lengthen or shorten the spacers of the HMR stock (B-14, Wilderness and Premier) and that we can also find in the rimfire model BXR.

So why didn’t you provide these damn screws?!

Just got my hmr b14 and need 2 spacers removed. The website is out of stock on the shorter "proprietary" screws. Crazy that this is even a thing

So, today I pick up my brand new $1500 rifle. I take it home and realize that I need to adjust the buttstock...
I read the little manual in the box. It doesn't mention anything about how to make the adjustment.
It seems pretty self explanatory... So, I check the rifle box for an allen wrench or tool of any kind... Nope. So, I grab my allen wrenches to see which one fits... None.
So then I search the internet and find this video... Only to realize that the pad is held on by sheetrock screws.
Ok,... Then I hear this the Director of Technical Development say that if I need to shorten it up all the way (which I do)... I have to go buy special bergara sheetrock screws that are shorter?? Seriously???
Even when I try to use only one spacer, the stock screws bottom out and won't fully tighten the pad...
I really expected this thing to be engineered much better than my $400 Ruger...
Maybe use some pressed in metal inserts and allen head bolts? 🤔
Maybe include said bolts into the box with the $1500 rifle?? 🤔
I was really excited to get this rifle...
This is definitely not a good first impression.

Did you ever find a fix?

I ran into the same problem others seem to have had. I ordered this gun partly because I am fairly short and I wanted to be able to adjust the LOP. Finding a gun to properly fit me is a pain, this didn't ease the pain. I can't even take one spacer out and tighten it with the provided screws. If I have to force the screws in it's a poor design. I have been really excited about getting this weapon and taking to the range, but now I'm just frustrated. I hope the entire gun doesn't suffer from the same poor engineering and lack of thought as the "adjustable" stock. Also, the shorter screws from Bergara are currently sold out.

This post is from a year ago. As of today they are still "out of stock!" Did you find a fix?

Wd 40 on the screwdriver helps. And yes I also had the screws bottom out before they got tight. I'll probably cut them off with some side cutters and try again. Only took out 1 spacer but may take out another one.

Screws still not in stock. Original screws DO NOT accomodate removing 2 spacers. Doesn't look like it would even accomodate removing one. 1/2" gap with 2 removed.

The stock are extremely wiggly when even removing 1 spacer.
Actually have someone pick up 1 of yalls rifles and successfully remove 1 and see the wiggly all over the place they are.
I have the hmr pro and the stock is crap im stuck with all the spacers.
    Adjustable my butt!
Imma have to ghetto rig just to have a length of pull that works for me

Seems a bit cheap, spend 1,500 on the rifle, with adjustments and you could not include $1 of screws .... and they are OUT of STOCK... and then I have to pay shipping??
