Nerf ammo is usually more expensive so this is a test to determine, are you just paying for the name or are the alternative brands just as good.
Ammo tested in this video are Nerf, Little valentine, and headshot brands.

I’ve heard that the headshot brand rival ammo used to be fantastic and much more comparable “squish” to the real deal Nerf rival balls but something changed at some point and they are so rigid that they shouldn’t even be used in flywheel blasters. I was curious your thoughts on that. I heard from other sources that they could even damage flywheel motors as they do not compress or squish like they are supposed to and could be hard on the flywheeler blasters. Your thoughts?

From my experience I would agree. In my slow motion shots I actually see bits of the ball flying off and it really slows down the flywheel while firing.
