He fact that Tim & Pharrell went to the same school and used to beat on desks together still blows my mind. 2 of the GREATEST producers of our time. Excellence.
The fact that he’s wearing Pharrell’s shoes (I think) just speaks to their brotherhood. It isn’t competition, it’s unity. Any competition they have is carried through love
I knew he went through a depression after Aaliyah's death, but I had no idea he suffered from addiction. I'm so glad Tim is doing well and is in a good place in his life. This makes me so happy. 🙌🙏
During the Oxy era there was millions of people addicted and addiction doesn't care who you are. I am a recovering addict myself cause of Drs over prescribing.
Yeah, there are plenty of Commodore 64 SID tunes for him to steal. Apparently he had no issue with it, so go for it. Steal those "video game" sounds (he's an idiot - it was a song, regardless of what platform it was composed on). Asshole.
Of course (SMH) here we go, Aaliyah and Ginuwine are the ones who made music fire those days! Nelly F , Justin T and Britney with their corny pop voices devalued R&B.
I know exactly what hes talking about when he said god just said "no more" during his addiction. Being an ex heroin addict of 4 years it happened to me. One day god hit me with a feeling and i was like enough is enough and i got some suboxone and detoxed myself and never looked back, that was 5 years ago. Everyone alway says heroin is one of the hardest drug to come off of and it is but, from my experience quitting is the easy battle, staying off of it is the war. If you can stay strong and make it thru the first year, the hard part is over. You will come out the other side noticeably stronger and confident that there aint no obstacle you cant get over and the stresses of life and the thoughts of "how am i gonna get thru this" decline drastically. One good thing that came out of my addiction is that i am stronger and my confidence is higher. I no longer worry about things because "I KNOW" ill be victorious in battle.
When you look at all the beats that timberland has produced since the early 90s till now, you will realise that he is in the top 5 or 3 producers of all time. Each beat he has done is so unique and timeless.
My favorite collaboration is Aaliyah and Timbaland....their chemistry was playful and smooth....I feel like they both were muses for each other...their music came about so effortlessly.

Michael Evans he doesn’t do interviews
Your thoughts on how important music can be to people is spot on. Frequencys can move people in ways we dont understand, but when theres a flow to it, when u hear something that makes u feel good, it can change the outlook on your Day. So Thank You Timbaland for your dedication to your craft and staying in it through all your ups and downs. When that music vibe is correct.. Everything seems to fall into its place. Your music will be heard and felt Forever. Timbaland the Best and we know this.
I grew up listening to his music and didn't really appreciate it as much as I do now. Just listening to him describe the way he produces music made me smile, how he started just from his keyboard at home and became one of the best producers. Just amazing! Great interview.
That's dope how jay z would give tim the flow/rap before the beat was made. Timberland's sounds was/is so unique and innovative.
Great interview to start 2018 wit tha 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐.
William Revis thanks, glad you enjoyed.
Timberland is awesome, he inspired many people to produce music. Never know what your talent can take you
Timberland????? Fuck out a here!!! TIMBALAND!!!!!
ha smh
I wasn’t expecting to see you here, you used to comment on my old beat videos haha
Going through a transition, as well with a friend of mine. Talking about music I mentioned Timbo. We went down a great ride of music. Watching this interview lifted me up. Fill me back up with the passion I lost. Stay humble n true.
when timbaland explained about the depression part I cried a tear, I can't express how much this was so relatable but one thing I want to say is glad to see timbaland back and better, this is something am working myself glad to see this video
Ginuwine needs to hook back up with Timbaland, their chemistry is undeniable.
Pony 2.0--Stallion. lol
Same with missy Elliot
Timbaland + Magoo
Wonder if Magoo’s voice still sounds the same?
He is the best!! The king of producers!! He is beyond this world with his music.
WOW! Clicked on this with the quickness
Marvillous Beats yup! Without blinking.
Love these interviews. More about the art than the drama. Great job hope to see more
The body of work he made and still is hungry, love you man you are great!
I paused this and went to listen to my pony instrumental for a refreshment. no doubt timbo was way ahead. Records wont start sounding like "my pony" or "big pimpin" till about 2049
Karlyle 7 I get chills! Like I was soooooo obsessed and intrigued with Timbalands talents. This man changed the game! He is so dope, it’s unreal. He and Pharrell really really came in the game with different unique sounds. No one can do what Timbaland did. And you knew when you heard a Timbo beat... you just KNEW!
Complex throwing down the wild card. We can't dislike this. THIS IS TIMBALAND. THE BANE EXISTENCE OF MY CHILDHOOD.
how do you not play snippets of the beats that come up throughout the interview? how in the hell don't you do that?
When you have to pay licensing on each music cue, that's how. It becomes extremely expensive if you're clearing everything.
Alexander Bollbach b/c Noah prolly stole this idea/credit from someone at Complex just like Joe Budden said he does. 😂
I was thinking the same thing and waiting to hear some every time lol
Alexander Bollbach pretty sure you need a license for that...he owns nothing bruh.
Alexander Bollbach i literally came to the comments to see if its just me who is upset about that
This guy knows how to create quality sound beats. He has the talent to take any music artist in the world, create music sound beat, take a written song, apply the sound beat to their voice, and create great music. From high school to college, I rocked Timbaland’s! music!!!🎶 🎼 🎵
His goatee is shaped like headphones 🎧 that tells he's the 🐐 producer!
Super dope. Hope DeVante gets an interview like this one day.
Facts
the hey papi beat is one of his most underrated..shit is a monster
He has too many of those... The Bounce is crazy too
Appriciate this and Tims' influence and contribution to the world of music. Timbo, you in a good place of peace and God now. You will have that Thriller moment soon.
The last point, "Respect The Journey" - so crucial. Great interview.
This nigga made so many Hits back in the day. He is a certified hit maker. One of the GOATS. Great Interview.
Aaliyah Baby Girl ❤ 👼 🌈 ☁
TAKING L'S IN LA Fuck You

Christopher Mysnyk 💗💗💗
This is a really dope and necessary interview!
Hes awesome because hes humble!
That was a real treat. Always loved Tim's beats, but now love his perspective and newfound humility. Great stuff!
Pride cometh before destruction and a haughty spirit before a mighty fall. Stay humble.
Timberland, Missy and Aaliyah also Ginuwine and Static were the dream team ❤️.
Its often wondered how people came to be who they are and this interview enlighten me on the man behind the hits and finding out how he grew and whom he credits and knew with his own success. Awesome interview 👏
Noah wit the Magoo reference, hip hop is ALIVE!
Ayo Jerz 😂😂😂
Its crazy how much history is attached to that brief mention. they will never know unless they look it up.
Magoo sucked tho ...lmao
Simon Sylvester yeah if heard he sucked ..so what's the relevance of that reference
Lol
Truly an audible treat! Go Tim. Good journalism also, interview is appropriate yet in depth. I think complex and Tim win when the interview is simply complex. All news isnt bad and I can appreciate this one which shares the story of An Icon. Thanks
Timbandland was my neighbor in VA. HIs power to create realms of R&B sounds delivered salvation to a genre that has become iconic. Write on write on write on superstar
5:48 - Tim should play Quincy Jones in a biopic, in his elder life he kinda looks like him. Same frame, skin complexion, talent ofcourse. I call it now!! .....And Pharell as Smokey Robinson!!
CaapriceTube dope.. 🔥
I would watch it but Tim is a musician not a actor I don’t think he would do it
CaapriceTube They are both same star signs hence the similarities.
I can see that....on point!!!
Genius! Timberland please remember this day!
What a great interview timberland definitely an inspiration god bles him through the hard time he was going through he came back so humble been a massive fan of his beats from I was in high school until this day
The Legend!!!!! The Genius lol whew love Timbaland he's the musical magician 🎩 that man knows how to make hit records. I have been a fan since a kid fell in love with Aaliyah and always knew about Ginuwine Missy and Magoo see you have to know your music 🎶lol to really know who you are listening and in the presence of greatness!!!!! Amazing producer I am too excited to see if he teams up with Justin Timberlake again. Timberlake & Timbaland the dynamic duo you can't deny his chemistry with people it's just incredible. Great interview Noah!!!!!
Timbaland is so wise.
His beard is actually headphones, Tim on another level...
