Actually pledis was once successful with after school and nuest (debut) but they went downhills when they disbanded after school and nuest comebacks flopped, that’s when they debuted seventeen with 2 dollars mv that had a special concept at the time (fresh and cute) so seventeen quickly became popular and had multiple nation hits such as: very nice, pretty u, clap, dwc, mansae etc and their career took off from there so pledis tried a gg pristin but couldn’t manage it right and they disbanded. Btw most performances right now are missing 2 members, Jun and The8! They're both in China because they haven't seen their family in 3 years so they're both promoting over there and just enjoying their family for a bit. Someone probably already mentioned it, but what makes Seventeen special is that being 13 members, they are like a family that supports each other in everything. Also, they can do EVERYTHING, from singing, rapping, dancing (there are the classic roles of main rapper, main vocal, lead dancer, etc, but seriously, they ALL can do that), modeling, they plan their content (like going seventeen which is a web series that you can find on youtube, magazines, concerts), and best of all, they participate in the composition of almost all of their songs except for a few. Also the "short" king you were pointing at is Seventeen's VoBo (Vocal Boss), he produces and writes almost all seventeen songs and a very very amazing dancer. He also can play a lot of instruments. HE.IS.A.GENIUS. PERIODT. Woozi is 5'5 and the tallest member is Mingyu and is 6'2 ish or 6'3? most of them are 5'10. Their main vocalists are DK which you were correct of pointing and Seungkwan (the dude who sang the first chorus and korea's well-known seventeen member since he is always booked and busy with variety shows as a cast and guest). yeah, I think they saw SEVENTEEN as competition, especially when SVT released their magnum opus "An Ode" in 2019, w/c was recognized by Billboard as the best kpop album that year. A few months after that I think HYBE started taking steps and now owns most of Pledis shares but idk if they've fully acquired them by now

I would definitely recommend going back to their debut just to see the birth of SEVENTEEN as self-producing idols and their progress year after year.... Also, trust me when I say this, every second spent on SVT is totally worth it. Also, when you have free time, definitely check out their Going Seventeen episodes. You will LOVE IT.

I think for the first time you should check out their most popular songs such as Aju Nice and Left & Right, ouh and Don't Wanna Cry, I think DWC is their breakthrough song... then slowly check out their debut song and so on. One important thing, you should really and must do is to check out their performances especially for music award and concert!!!

You need to watch the complete guide first, then move to the debut MV and listen to all albums in chronological order. That way, you could see hpw much the guys have matured as well as their music. Make sure to watch the choreography videos too, those are not to miss when it comes to Seventeen.

Welcome to the diamond life ! I'm sorry if you feel overwhelmed by all the recommendations lol, Carats can get very enthusiastic when we meet potential baby Carats. For future reactions, it all depends on what you prefer. Whether you choose to go back from debut or just watch their most popular stuff, Carats will probably watch it anyway :) What I would recommend is maybe to listen to their bsides as well (you can do it on your own time, you don't have to make reactions for it). Their discography is really good and diverse, and gives you facets of the group you don't get through their more public-friendly title tracks. If you do that, I'd recommend starting with their latest releases first cause they represent Seventeen's current state of mind better.

Hence, they are not in the MTV Fresh Out live performance and in other live promotions. So far, you've successfully identified Jeonghan, S. Coups, Joshua and DK. The not so tall guy is Woozi and the guy with the raspy vocals is Wonwoo. Personally, I do not think you need to react chronologically to their songs ( you may even have a harder time identifying them if you start from their debut song which was in 2015, as they look so much younger). On how to rmbr their names and their faces I usually just watch fanmade vids of them or their content like 'going seventeen' for example. Oh and honestly you're doing great memorizing their names, def better than me.
I'm actually so surprised with how fast you could match faces to names. After the dance practice when you were circling the members you actually got all the ones you named right, even Jun. And yes the one at the beginning of the performance was Joshua, and Woozi is indeed the shorter one with the main vocals you were talking about. The truth is that Pledis started as a small company, and it was Seventeen's efforts and success that made it big, and they now have better resources. Pledis was acquired by Hybe last year, and the company that directly manages Seventeen is Pledis.
Actually pledis was once successful with after school and nuest (debut) but they went downhills when they disbanded after school and nuest comebacks flopped, that’s when they debuted seventeen with 2 dollars mv that had a special concept at the time (fresh and cute) so seventeen quickly became popular and had multiple nation hits such as: very nice, pretty u, clap, dwc, mansae etc and their career took off from there so pledis tried a gg pristin but couldn’t manage it right and they disbanded. Someone probably already mentioned it, but what makes Seventeen special is that being 13 members, they are like a family that supports each other in everything. Also, they can do EVERYTHING, from singing, rapping, dancing (there are the classic roles of main rapper, main vocal, lead dancer, etc, but seriously, they ALL can do that), modeling, they plan their content (like going seventeen which is a web series that you can find on youtube, magazines, concerts), and best of all, they participate in the composition of almost all of their songs except for a few.

Also the "short" king you were pointing at is Seventeen's VoBo (Vocal Boss), he produces and writes almost all seventeen songs and a very very amazing dancer. He also can play a lot of instruments. HE.IS.A.GENIUS. PERIODT. Woozi is 5'5 and the tallest member is Mingyu and is 6'2 ish or 6'3? most of them are 5'10.

Also a song love by alot of Korean idols), hit (a hard and a fast pace dance routine that it would exhaust you) and getting closers (another hard choreography).

Welcome to the diamond life ! I'm sorry if you feel overwhelmed by all the recommendations lol, Carats can get very enthusiastic when we meet potential baby Carats.
For future reactions, it all depends on what you prefer. Whether you choose to go back from debut or just watch their most popular stuff, Carats will probably watch it anyway :)
What I would recommend is maybe to listen to their bsides as well (you can do it on your own time, you don't have to make reactions for it). Their discography is really good and diverse, and gives you facets of the group you don't get through their more public-friendly title tracks. If you do that, I'd recommend starting with their latest releases first cause they represent Seventeen's current state of mind better.

Welcome to the diamond life Raz :) So happy to see another reaction immediately after your first one. As pointed out by others, the 2 Chinese members ( Jun and The8) are currently in China. Hence, they are not in the MTV Fresh Out live performance and in other live promotions. So far, you've successfully identified Jeonghan, S. Coups, Joshua and DK. The not so tall guy is Woozi and the guy with the raspy vocals is Wonwoo.
Personally, I do not think you need to react chronologically to their songs ( you may even have a harder time identifying them if you start from their debut song which was in 2015, as they look so much younger). Might as well react to the really popular songs first such as Don't Wanna Cry, Fear, Hit, Getting Closer, Anyone, Falling Flower, 24H to name a few
Also in my opinion, it is easier to identify them by reacting by unit (this way you don't get confused by trying to remember 13 names at once) - SVT has 3 units namely:

I'm actually so surprised with how fast you could match faces to names. After the dance practice when you were circling the members you actually got all the ones you named right, even Jun. And yes the one at the beginning of the performance was Joshua, and Woozi is indeed the shorter one with the main vocals you were talking about.
At first I had a hard time distinguishing Wonwoo (the one with the deeper raspy voice who ends the song) from DK (main vocal) since their visuals are similar, but you seem to have DK down which may make Wonwoo easier to identify too, since people often think they kind of look alike
