That was my breaking point
I recently lost my grandad (not to cancer but another kind of long illness) and I couldn't put my finger on it what was different about him. Now I know it was the life leaving his eyes.
That line destroys me
One of my biggest complaints with these guys was the judges barely ever acknowledged the dude who played drums, piano, and sang. That deserved to be pointed out 'every' time!

I disagree with what Simon had to say, you listen to every successful band, Coldplay, The Fray, Gang of Youths etc. It took them a long time to find their sound. These guys had their sound from the beginning and he ruined that.

how did this group not win? this kind of raw emotion that culminates into a harmonic melody is rare. I really hope they have a bright future in store for them, because their message is positive and needs to be heard. they could do a lot for people out there that need a connection, and raw honesty. please give these guys their platform so their music can heal others like it did themselves
It’s more of America voting for younger kids or for people with diseases, or cancer etc because they feel bad and just don’t pay attention to other people’s talent.
And it's not even their only amazing original song they had in the competition. Their song Lifeline is also so beautiful and emotional in a completely different way
They would of won it easy...simon screwed them...you dont tell a rapper to go sing a country song...but thats exactly what Simon did to them they had a good sound to them from the start...
i feel like they could have won if they gave the sister a solo part since she was just harmonizing with the brother the whole time and he had solo parts all the way through if they had given the audience something new like her voice I think they would've had a great chance
That's the point it's too unique it's too original it's not manipulative they can't be easily manipulated by the system cause they to out their too completed you can't fix a built house

Not winning worked out better for them. They got what they needed namely nationwide exposure which gave them new fans. They are already putting out albums and are performing in all kinds of venues. They have even traveled to Europe and performed in London. I predict that Simon actually did them a favor because he kept them coming back to perform and more people became fans.
The problem with winning AGT… is that Simon owns you … now they are more successful than winning it…

"We gathered the kids around and we watched her take her last breath": I think this might be one of the most special moment in a lifetime watching someone you love leaving this world (not all of us has this chance ) but it might also be the most heartbreaking, one that takes a part of your soul with it!

I never had the chance to see my great grandma and my grandma take their last breath. Still breaks me. Grandma got to see my twinbrother that friday and i was going to see her that saturday. She died in that night. Miss her loads every day.
I can understand this. I wasnt there when my Mom took her last breath but i was there with Dad. There's a sense of peace seeing him go gently. But it's a memory i would never be able to forget.
I watch both of my grandmas take some of there last breath each time it changed me. But the hardest part is knowing that they are sick and dieting but you can’t help them or make it easier.
It's rough to watch them die. I watched my mom take her last breath after battling cancer and it seems that moment is the main one I can ever think about when i think of her, instead of the beautiful memories I have of her from my whole life. I just see her dying every time i miss her.. she did look peaceful, but its still just the only thing I ever picture..

They're on tour again. I just went and seen them in Chicago
I’m so glad they kept true to their vision. Now they are killing it! They are on tour in the UK right now after a successful tour in USA. I love how Mannie has gained confidence and broadened his vocal range. This is currently my favorite group. I have their album on repeat. Now-I need to get to a concert!
Just met them at their concert last week , they are literally the nicest people I’ve ever met and they give the warmest hugs !!! I’m so proud of ho far they’ve come ❤

Just started getting into them a little while ago, they're so incredibly talented and should've gotten the golden buzzer for their first song. Had me bawling after the first few lines. Imagine if they had written Sara during this time and performed it, guaranteed no dry eye in the house like during Heaven's Not Too Far Away. Simon's 'advice' was trash. They knew who they were and wrote songs that meant something to a lot of people and resonated within them. You shouldn't tell a band to completely change up their sound if what they're singing is the song from their souls. Definitely should've won but I'm so proud of them making their way now even without the win.

Watching this 5 years later after I just bought tickets to their current tour and get to meet them for a second time. Following their journey has been so amazing. They are truly the kindest, most genuine people. And the raw talent and emotion is breathtaking to see in person.

we three is genuinely my favorite group i was at their first concert on their tour and i met them after. they are such sweet, real people who have such talent and i believe that they should have won the whole competition. really an amazing group

This hits all together different when you’ve had to be at the side of your parent fighting cancer and pass away. This reminds me of the last conversation with my dad before he passed. Chills and tears. Powerful!!!

My dad had a rare head and neck cancer called Sino-nasal undifferentiated carcinoma. He was diagnosed in 2011 and passed away in 2014.

Ok so first time I watched this, it was amazing and I loved the song, but I didn’t really feel them because no one I had known had cancer.
July 2018, I went to Texas to visit my grandmother who has recently died of cancer. My father grew up with her because his father left him. As she was dying, she was still herself. She was asleep the day before the death and I heard her whisper for me to take out the trash. The first song broke my heart and I cry every time. ❤️ To all the cancer survivors and the people who have had a similar thing happen to them, you are loved.
I'm from Norway, and i LOVE this people and the strong feelings they give.. I'm in tears every time i see this clip.. They don't just play music, they deliver a very strong message...

The third performance just filled me with so many emotions, it broke me, completely destroyed me, and then built me back up, as if it filled me with holy, and I cannot say how much I needed that break down
Of all AGT performances, this audition was the most emotional for me, the judges and the audience alike. They gave the best tribute to their mother, the best way possible.
They really know how to make music, so well written and composed

I just want to give each and everyone of them a hug, especially their dad because he's such a great, wise, beautiful human. They're so real and relatable to many of us. I love them so much. 2019 and still repeating their agt journey. It's so sad that they didn't win. They deserved it. They have everything that makes a great band.

This group is so good.... the vocals, bass, drumming, and writing. They are a real talent.
Cannot listen to Heaven Isn't Too Far without tears flowing non-stop no matter how many times I listen to it. That audition should have received the Golden Buzzer! I can't think of too many other songs that would absolutely bring anyone who hears it to tears. The lyrics and melody created by such young people. Amazing. You have to go through trauma to be able to pull off such amazing lyrics and so much emotion into songs like this.
I got to see them perform this at their last concert and I just wish Bethany got more solos in their music her voice is gorgeous
