This song is addicting ass 🔥that beat, flick of that harp, violin in background, skip of drums, melody, her tone, lyrics omg. Damn. its unreal perfection.
The slowest melodies coated me Soothing rhythms stoked the fire in my belly Music is the man that made a woman out of me The purest voices call to me, deafening as the cry of 10, 000 babies Music was the lamb that made a lion out of me Long as I have my voice, I don't need arms to hold I never need arms to hold me, swallow me Recognizing, realizing Recognize between the lines of what you feel and what you be You can be so lost and so found Oh, deep inside of me, swallow me The composition fractured me Yet I pieced into the girl I long to be When I fall apart that's when the notes will swallow me Long as I have my voice, I don't need arms to hold Long as you have your voice, you don't need arms to hold You'll never need arms to hold you You'll never need arms to hold me Recognizing, realizing Recognize between the lines of what you feel and what you be You can be so lost and so found Oh, deep inside of me, swallow me Recognize, realize, utilizing Oh, swallow me Utilize, recognize, realize in you and me and these arms belong to you It's all inside of you, it's all inside of me You look but you don't see, it's deep inside of you, deep inside of me Swallow me
This woman's vocals are still captivating! Her voice is astounding as well as her music. I can sing this song as though years have not passed since I first heard it a longgggggggggggggg time ago! Wow! Nostalgia
I still can't remember who introduced me to her but I purchased her CD back in '98 and during another long night at school, I had this album blaring and a few classmates got hooked on it, 3 of them bought her CD the next day. still one of the best albums out there.
Esthero is truly amazing - I've seen her in concert - a small venue in Cambridge, MA - she was amazing! One of the best concerts I've ever seen. She's one of those artists who everyone wants that they produce more but they don't. Because she knows what she's worth but she cares more about the music than the money. She's a true artist.
Esthero will forever be my favorite singer. I will never forget when my cousin surprised me with tickets to see her perform in NY when I was 13. Magical
Esthero's songs always remind me of when I lived in Florida, and when I fell in love with a boy for the first time... I will always miss him so much... but at least he lives on in my heart.
This is the type of music when Oakland Ca had that neo soul/ hip hop vibe in the early 2000s. It’s not like that anymore , it’s all gentrified. I miss my old friends during that time 🥲
Esthero is the singer, entertainer...chanteuse....that every person or body espires to be. She is in a class by herself - I've seen her ... up close and personal - and she is every bit as sensual as the notes that she sings. May she be as world renowed as she hopes to be. She is .... in a word .... amazing.
Esthero is simply the best, she is an example of true talent not getting the spotlight over mediocre circus acts because she actually has depth and quality. It has been and will always be that way but as long as she continues to put out good music and we buy it she will survive
@g33mini Unless you were a raver during the late 90's it's no wonder people didn't hear of her. That was before the internet was huge. She wasn't mainstream and didn't want to be and that was part of her(and the band's) charm.
researchsiempre I have never met another person face to face who had ever heard of her. A shame, but I treasure albums like this one that I can horde to myself for life.
The bass is awesome when you play it in the car. I love the instrumentation, the vocals and of course the lyrics. This was a real buried treasure to me when I first heard it, how have I never heard it before?
Haters go on and hate you can't touch her she is golden and perfect to me. I love her so much. What have you done to inspire people on the level she has?
WHEN A STARSEED IS TRYING TO RELAY A MESSAGE TO US TO WAKE UP...WERE BEING REMINDED EVERY DAY.STOP, SLOW DOWN LISTEN, INFINITE SPIRIT IS IN YOU, IN ME, AND IN EVERYTHING...REALISE NOW, REMEMBER WHO WE ARE AS ONE, SEPARATION IS A LIE! RELEARN OR COME BACK UNTIL YOU WAKE UP... RAISE IT UP. LOVE YOU. SEE YOU THERE.
Reminds me of a song that should have been included on "The Nightmare before Christmas"... i envision the world of that when i listen to it, as that's how my soul feel's. This track helped ease my mind through a hard time
So Metal - this was one of the only discs I had on rotation in all of 2000 - the only other one that mattered was LD50 from Mudvayne - one may be heavier but the other one carries just as much weight in a more delicate package
@DragonflyNoir10 To me the hidden track sounds like serial killer music and it was playing when me and my girl were making out after her brother's wedding. We were tired and lying on each other in a huge porch swing in the sun room, just trying to get away from well-slept relatives who weren't putting things together until 3am day of ceremony. Listen to some good music to help chill, made out, got hot, psycho-track killed it. That's how music works. You always remember when you heard it.
god lastnight was soooo long. we partied, then we partied some more. then we went over to a friends house...long story short: this song was a good ending to the long night/morning ;) Music is the lamb that made a Lion out of me.
The hidden track. The most haunting song on this brilliant album.
This song is addicting ass 🔥that beat, flick of that harp, violin in background, skip of drums, melody, her tone, lyrics omg. Damn. its unreal perfection.

@@swervezeroindefinite8 babes just say you have no taste and move on with your sad life 😕

my mom used to play this on car rides at night when i was very young. to this day it still makes me sleepy with nostalgia. love you mama
The instrumentation in this song is so top notch!
The slowest melodies coated me
Soothing rhythms stoked the fire in my belly
Music is the man that made a woman out of me
The purest voices call to me, deafening as the cry of 10, 000 babies
Music was the lamb that made a lion out of me

At the end when the violins really come on , reminds me of how I lost my love . We used to listen to this album . I love and miss you , Snorko .

I will place her right in between the rhythms of Sade and Eryka Baduh's powerful tone of voice. This chic is very talented!
Just another banger from that "Breath From Another" album. Esthero, you set the bar so damn high! Deafening as the cry of 10,000 babies...
Esthero will forever be my favorite singer. I will never forget when my cousin surprised me with tickets to see her perform in NY when I was 13. Magical
This is good cloudy weather music. I sipped a cup of coffee and looked out the window at the while this was playing in the background
Esthero's songs always remind me of when I lived in Florida, and when I fell in love with a boy for the first time... I will always miss him so much... but at least he lives on in my heart.

this song sooooo hits me deep in my soul. Thank you Esthero.
"Music was the man that made a woman out of me"...
i love girls who love this song
Music was the woman that made a man of me.
am i the only one that thinks if esthero and sade did a song together we would die from its sheer awesomeness?
Never can this trash compare to Sade....
It would be a favor that she would never be able to repay to Sade
@@swervezeroindefinite8 not you being pressed by a 20 year old song 🥴

Love this girl. One of these days I'm gonna fly out to wherever she happens to be doing a show, just to see her perform live.
Reminds me of Vancouver BC 1999....GOOD MEMORIES!!!...GREAT SONG!!!
Lol year I was born
Esthero is art.... This girl mezmorizes me with her singing... Plus I love a smooth jazz, lounge sound..
I played this cd all through my pregnancy , with a speaker to my belly!

Esta mujer tiene mucho que aportar al mundo musical. Lástima que su talento no fue tomado en cuenta, pero igual tus fans te amamos.
Jesús Torres lo que cuenta es que hubimos a los que nos enamoró
Man I love this song!!
She's the most heartfull singer ever to me.
One of the best in her era. Like the words she use to build a song .
The bass is awesome when you play it in the car. I love the instrumentation, the vocals and of course the lyrics. This was a real buried treasure to me when I first heard it, how have I never heard it before?
One of my favorite songs... love you Esthero!!!
Oh My God were you so incredibly ahead of your time they were not ready for you!!
Wicked VIBE! Her voice with these words, deep! ~Thanks for posting.
her words are so deep. She is so inspiring.
Loving Esthero since the movie "Go" soundtrack & 007 nightfire! Also check her track
"Final Home"
Gabriel J and Windmills of Your Mind.
Gabriel J the best song she has.
Final Home is forever fire.
DJ Krush also worked on Final Home, and he is just as good
i wish you;d never given me this cd in media class matt. shes in my head
Her voice refreshes me, 4:21 drives me crazy
this album is still perfect so many decades later.
No, it's just that the album was released at the tail end of the trip hop craze, so it was a given that it didn't do as well as the label liked.
The last word .. swaaaa... one of the greatest moments in the history of music . IMHO . Love this song .
This song was a big help in my youngest years when I was going through hard times😒
I hope your having a better time today
This trash?!!!

Music is the man that made a woman outta me... DAMN!! That's some potent ish there.
This album got me through alot of dessert training and shit! Much props Esthero!
Desperate than the cry of ten thousand babies......so lost and so found oh deep inside of me.....4:35 is where it gets really hot!
Deafening as the cry
sooo sampled this track but hearing her over the way the producer flipped the drum roll is pretty respectable
from who?
Sometimes she's sounds like bjork
I was thinking the same thing!
Jose Molina Probably why she can do a good impression of Bjork.
Early 20s late 90s weed and this album 😊❤
I love this song so much. From the second it came out til present. Come back
