  • Hi guys, today we are going to visit one of the Iconic Place that everyone must visit when you are in Brussels. Join us to explore the magnificent Manneken Piss and also attractions around that area in this video.
As we made our way to Manneken Pis, we passed by the vibrant Place de Brouckère, a bustling square in the heart of Brussels. The area was teeming with restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, dental clinics and even fast food chains too.
The Brussels Stock Exchange building were also nearby the De Bouckere area too. This is one one the iconic buildings in Brussels. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation now.
After a leisurely walk, we arrived at our main destination, the one and only Manneken Pis. Standing just over two feet tall, this little fellow has been captivating locals and visitors alike for centuries. The name 'Manneken Pis' translates to 'Little Man Pee' in Dutch, and this statue holds a special place in the heart of Brussels.
This pint-sized icon dates back to the 17th century and is surrounded by intriguing legends. One popular tale tells of a young boy who saved the city by putting out a fire with his...well, you know. In gratitude for his heroic deed, this statue was erected in his honor. But Manneken Pis is more than just a statue; it's a symbol of Brussels' playful and irreverent spirit.
Visitors to Brussels are charmed by Manneken Pis, and it's a must-see attraction. Many believe that touching or kissing the statue brings good fortune, but during our visit, it was fenced off. Nevertheless, we were captivated by its history and charisma.
After visiting and taking some photos around the Manneken Piss, we had take a walk at the rows of shops nearby. There were shops selling creatives donuts and chocolate factory that sells different types of chocolate designs and cookies. Besides the chocolate factory, there were a shop that sells Brussels chocolates. After talking the chocolate, I really can’t help my self from buying some of it back home.
We had also visited on of the famous chocolate shops there named Mary Chocolatier, a Belgian Royal Warrant Holder since 1942 which has been a beloved chocolate shops since 1919 in Brussels. We brought some of the chocolates to try out ourself there too. But I think me and my mum personally likes the first shops chocolates more. Most probably it’s sweeter.
Our journey didn't stop there; we explored the area and found even more chocolate shops there too and also waffles and souvenirs shops selling almost the same souvenirs across all shops in Brussels.
So this wraps up our amazing day of exploration, indulgence, and discovery in the heart of Brussels. Manneken Pis and the surrounding area have so much to offer, from history and culture to delightful treats
