Gosto bastante.
@Celso463 I haven't been on a TAP flight, but Turkish has a 5 minute long safety video, with one with a Turkish dub and one with an English dub. TAP could easily do the same with this one - But for the English videos have the subtitles reflect the departure/arrival country (i.e. if it's to Italy, have the subtitles be in Italian)
Yeah, that's why Garuda, Lufthansa et al have English AND the destination language. With Garuda the spoken is in Indonesian and English, and the subtitle may be English or it may be the destination language. My idea is: The Portuguese spoken video has Portuguese and English subtitles, but TAP would then add another one, with English dialog, and subtitles in English and the destination language
@lulupersonne They can make a version that is spoken in English, but with subtitles for the destination, i.e. if going to Paris it would have French subtitles, if to Moscow, Russian subtitles, etc.
I already stated that I think that TAP should have an English dub version played on all flights, but with subtitles of the destination/origin country * Croatian: Croatia * Czech: Czech Republic * French: Algeria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Mali, Morocco, Senegal, Switzerland (French) * German: Austria, Germany, Switzerland (German) * Greek: Greece * Italian: Italy * Hungarian: Hungary * Polish: Poland * Russian: Russia * Spanish: Spain, Venezuela For others, no additional subtitles
When I said crew members, I was meaning the guys who make this video, it will take a little big time to do it for all tap countries, english is the most speak language in the world, which means that a lot of people know it. English and Portuguese would be great.
@01luisgomes They could always air the English one after, and have subtitles in the third country - i.e. if it's a flight to Paris, put subtitles in French
However some airlines do choose to do other methods. In its video Alitalia has notices in the end that say "contact your cabin crew" in various languages (Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese) after the demo in Italian and English, regardless of the destination/origin. Malaysia Airlines has a "contact your cabin crew" message before its English only demo in French, German, and Italian.
Oh, but all those languages make the video a litle confuse, don't you think? Of course that it's a great option for everybody, but TAP doesn't has so many people from other countries, not so many like JAL, Garuda, Iberia,...
Oh, I see. A lot of airlines do this. For instance Garuda Indonesia has subtitle tracks in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. This is on top of the voiceovers in Indonesian and English. - Lufthansa has an interesting approach, where it does a voiceover in German and English unless there is a different language in the destination - in that case there are English subtitles only and the destination language gets a dub. I.E. a flight to Mexico has German and Spanish, with English subtitles
Garuda is an airline from Indonesia, so putting only english and the destination lagunage it's not a good choice, most of passangers must be indonesians... I understand what are you saying, but I dont agree a lot.
Oh, they have Bahasa Indonesia too. Its Indonesian language AND English language voiceovers. And in addition to that they have subtitles for the destination language - If the destination language isn't Arabic, Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin then they use English subtitles There are some airlines which don't use "indigenous" languages at all in their safety videos: Malaysian Airlines and Philippine Airlines
IMO TAP should make their own English video, but the subtitles would be of the language of destination or origin, i.e. if going to Paris, it would be French - if going to Rome, it would be Italian. If the destination is a Portuguese speaking country or an English speaking country, there would be no subtitles or just English and Portuguese subtitles
With some destinations, though, subtitles in the local languages aren't used. So many people in the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Finland know English fluently that foreign airlines typically don't add subtitles in the local languages to those destinations
Crew members don't have to do anything. What I am saying is, put subtitles of the destination in the video. It's the matter of just selecting the correct option, and the subtitles in the video will differ. The voiceover in the video would still be English I know some airlines do have crew do announcements in different languages in intra-Europe flights - a friend told me that on his Alitalia flight from Rome to Paris, some announcements were done in French
Vicente, think about the crew members. To do a video for all countries wich TAP operates, would be very difficult. English and portuguese would be great.
I agree about the delays ... but in terms of SAFETY RECORDS they're on the very UPSIDE. About info and flight attendants it's no different then other airlines. So everybody has their own priorities. Better to get there with 2 hours delay but in 1 piece than not get there at all. Cheers.
desculpa?
If TAP puts the destination language for all countries, it could be english guys, spanish, italian, french,... and they wouldn't understand the language. What I wanna mean is: Like english is a language that almost everybody knows, it's necessary. You said that Garuda Indonesia has subtitle tracks in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. And if there's a portuguese or a spanish guy in the plane? Will he understand something? No. If they use english and indonesian, he will understand the english
"Para os 99,999% dos passageiros que não são feitos de madeira, o colete de salvação encontram-se localizados..." HAHUAHUAHUHAUHAHUAHUAHUAHUAAUHASDHUSAUHDASHUSAHUDHUASDHUOAS
Então e os passageiros que não entendem Português e estão a 4 filas de distância do monitor mais próximo, como vão saber o que se lhes quer dizer? Creio que uma versão em Inglês fará a diferença!
My favourite place in Portugal is definitely Funchal Madeira Island

Parece ser muito interessante! Parabéns!

Este sim capta a atenção.
Que saudadeeeeeeeeeee. Volta 2011!

@dehmiranda I haven't listened to spoken Estonian yet. Know of any good examples? That sounds like a neat idea!

Colocaram o Disk-Finados em Portugal. Qdo vc liga, vc ouve oq?
R: um min de silencio.
😅😅😅😅
I didn't said that this video must be showed on the destinations language, only portuguese and english.
@01luisgomes They could always air the English one after, and have subtitles in the third country - i.e. if it's a flight to Paris, put subtitles in French
o video parece macabra

@dcca007 Was it aired again with an English voiceover?

@dehmiranda Do you have all of the URL in there? When I enter it into the URL bar, it redirects to the UA-cam main page
Is there a version dubbed in English or in other languages?
And what if TAP flies to a country with a "third language" (like Paris, Frankfurt)?
Oi
With some destinations, though, subtitles in the local languages aren't used. So many people in the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Finland know English fluently that foreign airlines typically don't add subtitles in the local languages to those destinations

@dehmiranda I got it. That's a cool song!

best Airline in europe
I understand that you didn't advocate for the destination language. It's just that I think the destination language should also be represented
If TAP puts the destination language for all countries, it could be english guys, spanish, italian, french,... and they wouldn't understand the language. @Sqq da dude Maybe it has dislikes but we can't see
I would suggest they change the english tag line, it doesn't translate well into english.. lol
TAP: Take Another Plane
