Shoulda said “ shoots at his biggest buck ever” In the description I was waiting for you to find em. Good on you for being still enough with all them deer around you and able to do both!
Sorry brother.. When you took that shot I thought... Oh man, that was a poke! Not gonna say I wouldn't have shot, any man in your shoes may have done the same thing. I really try to stick to the 40 yard rule but man, when you get a giant in like that, it's hard to let em walk... That deer could live, ya just never know... I watched the video a few times and man, it looked high and back to me.. I've shot like 30 whitetails and the color of that blood doesn't mean squat. We killed a buck last year with a crossbow bolt in his neck in rifle season. Looked like it had been there for a month... Hardy animals God created.. Hang in there boys.. Enjoy all the vids.
Ol' East Tennessee boy here as well and I hate nothing more than not finding a deer I have shot. I always feel guilty and wish I hadn't shot. The only thing you can do is get back into the treestand and get back after it..with all the effort you put into searching for that deer there is a chance you hit him in the leg and he survived also. I have seen bright red blood from flesh wounds before and the deer be on camera awhile later with a limp.. keep your head up and good luck!!!
That sucks. Know the feeling

Thanks man. Yeah definitely tough to let a deer of that caliber get away but that’s part of hunting. He may show up in shed season 🤞🏻

Without a doubt a very tough thing to do not finding one. He was a big buck for sure which makes it even tougher.
